00:00I'm going to tell you if you see if we're going to start driving around.
00:30My brother and mom had a vlogger's crap with a lot of beer and stuff like that.
01:00Numerous highway closures.
01:09We walked through the flood levels.
01:11We walked through tens of thousands of Washingtonians being evacuated.
01:17And we tried to be as persuasive as we could to our partners in the federal government
01:23that they need to approve that emergency right away.
01:27I have another meeting with FEMA representatives on highways.
01:30The number of highways, significant highways that have closed since last night has doubled.
01:36We're now at 30 or 31 highways across our region that have closed, including here in Skagit
01:42County, SR20 and SR530, those due to flooding.
01:46So it's a major impact, obviously, to our state in many, many ways.
01:51I just highlight that as one example of the evolving situation we're facing.
01:54We're literally overnight, we double the number of highways, major highways that have closed.
02:00The situation is, the word that was used by, in the briefing earlier was, is unpredictable.
02:09And that's when we want to communicate to Washingtonians, this situation is extremely unpredictable.
02:15We're using the best information we can to provide guidance to people of the state, but
02:18it is unpredictable.
02:20And I just want to emphasize that if you have instructions to evacuate from your local authorities,
02:27please, please, please evacuate.
02:31You know, your life is extremely important to us.
02:35We're trying to do everything we possibly can to communicate the gravity of the situation,
02:38the people of the state of Washington.
03:06You know, you have a lot of resources.
03:08You know, your life is very important.
03:12You know, your life is extremely important to us.
03:15This system is not easy to take place in the situation, but you need to be in the situation.
03:20You know, this system's a lot of problems, and you know.
03:24You know, this system's a lot of problems, and you know.
03:25It's very important to us.
03:27It's very important, you know.
03:28But, you know, this system is complete.
03:32And the system is really important in order to look at thes.
