Aftermath of Venezuela quakes seen on streets of Caracas

Strong back-to-back earthquakes struck Venezuela, reducing a hotel to rubble and damaging nearby buildings. Authorities declared a state of emergency after nearly two dozen aftershocks, while experts warned of possible heavy casualties and widespread destruction.
Emergency crews recovered a body from the rubble of a collapsed building in Caracas. The government declared a state of emergency as the quakes caused widespread damage and forced the closure of the country's main airport.
