00:00Let's start at the start, a new way of trying to get the injury updates from you.
00:12Starting with the start. S-T-A-R-T. S-Salima. What's the latest on Salima?
00:21We have to wait and see. Yesterday we didn't train,
00:24he hasn't trained with us yet, so we have an extra day.
00:27We trained this afternoon. Let's see if he can be available or not.
00:31Could you set a matter of days about the last night at the press conference?
00:37It remains the same. Obviously, if he just made the Everton game,
00:41I think he will be fit for tomorrow. I don't know.
00:44Okay, Tim, second letter. Timber?
00:48Timber, again, depends on how he feels today.
00:52It was a knock that he picked and he wasn't feeling comfortable.
01:02Again, I think it's a matter of days, but whether it's tomorrow or not, we'll see.
01:08Okay, next letter is A. That's going to be a long start, then.
01:12A starts, because there's always an A when it comes to interviewing user, A for Arsenal.
01:17So, R, Rice. How's Beckley?
01:20Let's see how it is today. Obviously, he was ill.
01:25That's an illness normally in a few days.
01:28He gets resolved, but we have to wait how far he can push.
01:31Okay, and another team to Andrew. Trosso, how's William?
01:37Again, another one that is a matter of days.
01:41Sounds boring, but it's a reality, so we don't know if it's available for how long.
01:46We don't have the S at the end, no?
01:49We've got absolutely nowhere.
01:50Okay.
01:51Big question mark still at the end of it.
01:53Yeah, yeah, okay.
01:54Impressive game in midweek to bounce back after Villa.
01:59Important to keep that momentum going?
02:00For sure, yeah.
02:01After any defeat, you want to put it right and straight away.
02:04We certainly did that and put ourselves in a great position in the Champions League.
02:08And now it's about Wolves focusing back on the Premier League.
02:12And after what happened and the result that we had against Villa,
02:16obviously it's a massive opportunity for us again to win the game
02:19and put ourselves in a great position.
02:21Based on results, Wolves have been extraordinarily poor,
02:25lost all of their last eight games.
02:28You'd be expected to take three points tomorrow.
02:31Is there a danger of maybe a bit of apathy around the fans and the players?
02:37Always, in any Premier League match and especially against a team
02:40that obviously is fighting against results.
02:43I know the manager really well and how he's going to push
02:46and get the players ready to do that.
02:49So from our side we're going to go full gas from the beginning
02:53because we know what we have to do.
02:55If you're a team that is hoping to win the Premier League,
02:58do you have to beat Wolves?
03:01Yeah, at the end you're going to have to have over 90 points probably to win it.
03:07So that means win a lot of football matches and tomorrow we have three that we have to earn.
03:13In recent weeks you've had a floor at Stamford Bridge.
03:17You've beat Tottenham and you've beat Brentford.
03:23But obviously you've lost two in the last five,
03:26but obviously you've had defensive injuries as well.
03:30So because of that, probably because of that, the table based on form for the last five,
03:37the table based on form, you'd be seventh, not even in the top six.
03:42When?
03:43When?
03:44When?
03:45When?
03:46When?
03:47When?
03:48When?
03:49When?
03:50When?
03:51Yeah, hopefully tomorrow will change.
03:53We win tomorrow and then it's a different one
03:55and then in the last one we are the best or in the last two or the last three.
03:58So we try to win every game and that's the only thing that we can do
04:02in terms of being as consistent as possible.
04:05Alright, finally please, that's how we revisited the Supercomputer.
04:09We love the Octo Supercomputer.
04:11It's been a while.
04:12Surprise me.
04:13Villa, the chances of winning the Premier League, 6%.
04:17City, 20%.
04:19Arsenal, 72%.
04:21Is that in the last five games or in the total?
04:26I'm just asking, eh?
04:28Since the start.
04:30Since the start, till the end.
04:33Yeah?
04:34Okay.
04:35Is that right?
04:37Is that about right, do you think?
04:39I don't know.
04:40The computer says it was the same that the computer said the last five games
04:43or the next five games.
04:44I don't know.
04:45The only thing that we can do is increase the probability of winning the next match
04:49by doing the things that we do really well and preparing the best possible way.
04:54For me, that's the end.
04:56Thank you so much.
04:57Newsday from the Premier League.
04:59Professor, how do you picture against Wolves?
05:00Oh, can you go to the mic?
05:02Yeah, sorry.
05:06That's all right.
05:07Hi, Professor.
05:08How do you picture against Wolves?
05:09Some might say this at the beginning, that basketball should control quite comfortably on paper.
05:12How do you guard against complacency?
05:16Well, showing them the team that they are and talking about Villa, the game that they had against Villa a few weeks ago
05:21and understand that a team in that position obviously have to react and have to show their teeth
05:28and that's a very dangerous thing, especially in this league when every team obviously has the quality that they have.
05:34So from our side, that's not going to happen.
05:37At the start of the season, Vala Arsenal was very dominant at scoring goals from set pieces,
05:41but your last 11 Premier League goals have come from open play.
05:44What do you put that shift down to?
05:46This is football and it has waves and you try to analyse five games or ten games
05:55and the sample is that small that you get very, very confused.
05:58So at the end, even 40 games is not enough to have a sample of what your team looks like
06:05because it's too small.
06:07But yeah, the fact that we have the resources to score from various positions
06:11with different players in different manners, that's a great thing.
06:16But we want to be the best in every situation.
06:18That's what we try to do.
06:20Finally, Arteta, Gabriel Jesus returned to the side on Wednesday.
06:23Do you see him eventually pushing for that number one striker squad again?
06:26How do you see his role developing?
06:28Yes, I mean, a player of his quality, a player that is giving us so much
06:33and he comes with the energy that he came the other day.
06:37He's certainly a player that has to be pushing and aiming for that.
06:40That's for sure.
06:42Ian.
06:44Ian.
06:45Hi, Michael.
06:46How are you?
06:47I'm good, thank you.
06:48First of all, can I ask you what do you think your side
06:51are getting enough credit this season?
06:52They're scoring a lot of goals, as you say, in waves from set pieces
06:57and outside of set pieces, but I just don't feel like they're being given enough credit
07:04as being either entertainers or being as good a team as they are.
07:09I don't know, but that's not for me to judge.
07:11At the end, we are in a very strong position in the three competitions
07:15that we've been involved so far and that's what we have to continue to do.
07:19At the end, the credit has to come at the end of the season.
07:22That's what we're going to measure what we've done.
07:24But in order to achieve that, you have to be achieving every single day
07:28the objectives that you want.
07:30And so far, I think we are in a really strong position.
07:33For any team to do well, players have got to sometimes play
07:36where they don't want to play or where they're not best at playing.
07:39Did we see that in the other night with Christian Norka?
07:41Because I've only ever known him as a central midfield
07:44and yet the other night he played centre-half
07:46and probably could do that for you a lot more this season now.
07:49Yes, but I think that comes to the mentality of the players,
07:53the intelligence of a player like Christian as well
07:57and how to fulfil a role when in the morning you tell him surprisingly
08:01that he needs to play in that position
08:03because we don't have any other one to play in there.
08:06And then you need to fulfil that role.
08:08But we have a lot of examples of players that have played in different positions
08:11like Mikel, like many others.
08:13And that's great because that gives us an edge.
08:16How much have you personally enjoyed this season?
08:19I mean, you're obviously a number of Rob members who you know well
08:21probably not having a very good start to his career at Wolves obviously.
08:25But how much have you actually enjoyed this season?
08:27Enjoying your team's play and enjoying the lack of pressure on your shoulders?
08:31The lack of pressure.
08:37For the first part I do enjoy it a lot because of, again,
08:44because of the people that are around us
08:46and how we leave everybody together.
08:48Obviously winning a lot helps because that's a different profession
08:52when you win or you lose.
08:54And I feel privileged to be where I am and keep going.
08:59Last one.
09:00The supercomputer thinks you're going to win the Premier League.
09:02Most people who have seen you win...
09:03Is that the same supercomputer or a different one?
09:05There's only one.
09:06There's only one.
09:07The supercomputer thinks you're going to win the Premier League.
09:09Everyone who's seen you win six out of six
09:11thinks you're going to win the Champions League.
09:13You're in the quarterfinals of the League Cup.
09:14You start with Pompey away in the FA Cup.
09:17Is there a quadruple on?
09:19What is zone is the three points of tomorrow
09:23and I think that's enough for my supercomputer in my brain.
09:28OK?
09:29Tom for Blunt.
09:31Hi, Mikel.
09:32When Victor came in,
09:33he's obviously come from a very different league
09:35and he's a very different profile of centre-forward support
09:37perhaps you've had in more recent seasons.
09:39If I may ask around and if you could explain
09:42how, when a player like that arrives,
09:44do you have to adapt to a player like that?
09:47How much is it the player has to adapt to a different starting system?
09:51I think that two things have to emerge.
09:54I think we have to put the player in the best possible condition
09:58to explode and fulfil his potential.
10:00And there are certain things that within the role,
10:03in the manner that we play,
10:04has to be fulfilled.
10:05And that's a combination of both.
10:08And then it's not only that.
10:10I think more importantly,
10:11it's the connections and the players around him at the end.
10:14Those interactions,
10:16that understanding,
10:17how it develops.
10:18And before the injury,
10:20I think he was in a great place.
10:22I think it took him a while at the beginning
10:23because as you said,
10:24it's a different league,
10:25different demands,
10:26had no precision.
10:27And now he's starting to get some momentum.
10:31And the goals will come
10:33and we're going to be very pleased with him.
10:35After this game,
10:36you get a rare week off from a midweek fixture
10:39which you haven't had in quite some time.
10:41What are you looking forward to most about having a week
10:44where there isn't a game
10:45and what might you do differently with the schedule?
10:47Well, basically three things.
10:49Make sure that we can give some rest to players,
10:53mentally and physically.
10:55Then,
10:56start to reactivate everybody
10:58and start to work on things
11:00that slowly you don't have time to work
11:02and start to deteriorate at some point.
11:04And then start to be in the best possible
11:08physically and emotional mindset
11:11to go to Buddhism Park to be represent.
11:14Do you have any fresh injuries from Wednesday at least?
11:19No.
11:20And just honestly,
11:21obviously it's been one where it's been close
11:23in sort of three or four games.
11:25What is the issue that you specifically got
11:27and how frustrating is it that he's close to making a squad
11:29that he can't take that last step to come back?
11:32Yeah, it was something quite small.
11:34It came from an ankle injury that he had
11:37and then he started to modify the way he was running
11:41and all that
11:42and he started to overload an area.
11:43which is something common,
11:45but at some point he wasn't comfortable
11:47continuing to be able to train and play
11:49and we had to stop it.
11:51He looks better,
11:52but we have to wait and see if it's enough
11:54for him to be able to train with the team.
11:57I'll just ask you one on Gabriel Jesus.
11:59He's obviously in a rare situation where he's someone in this squad
12:03that's going to have 18 months of his contract in January.
12:05You've got Victor, Kai, Mikel Streikis.
12:09Is he someone you would consider selling?
12:11Do you see him as a key part of your plans?
12:14No, I don't consider that, especially with the situation that we have right now.
12:17I think Gabi has a lot to offer to the team
12:21and he's proven that straight away in the first minutes that he was available to play.
12:26He's put so much to be in this position again
12:29and now the focus is to be with us.
12:32In the week, Ethan came on and played quite well in the second half.
12:38Ethan won here.
12:39I was just wondering how he's been in these kind of few weeks where
12:43I guess he hasn't been starting games as much
12:45and how you found him because I think he said a couple of weeks ago
12:48he asked to play in that friendly.
12:50How do you feel about that?
12:54Well, in the manner that other players have to cope with these kind of situations
12:58so preparing the best possible way I think he's doing it
13:01is actually just been excellent
13:03and when he's got the chance to play
13:05proof that I'm wrong, that he needs to play more minutes
13:09and help the team as much as possible.
13:11And in terms of him asking to play in that friendly,
13:14is that something you'd like to see?
13:16Yeah, well, Ethan's attitude on that is exceptional
13:20and every time we have a region day he wants to train
13:23and he wants to be outside and he wants to be in touch with that ball
13:27and in that sense he's top.
13:29James, CBS?
13:30Can I ask you about Martin Zubomendi?
13:33Two assists, six chances in the game in Scott Bruges
13:36but there are other games where he plays a more conservative role.
13:41How impressed have you been by how, not just he's adapted to the Premier League
13:45but how he's adapting game by game to cater the way he plays to the Premier League?
13:50I'm very impressed because I know the difficulty of coming into this league
13:55and do what he's doing immediately
13:58because first of all you have to end the role within the team
14:01and that's not easy to do.
14:02Then it's a different way of playing, a different league
14:05but I just say the variety of actions and involvements that he has in the game is exceptional.
14:11His defending metrics are incredible and I had no doubt that he could produce that
14:17but this is the Premier League and you have to prove it
14:20and then attacking-wise as well, the highs that he takes, position he takes,
14:24the way he's opened up teams in many ways, his goal threat, the capacity to assist,
14:29he's improved on set pieces as well and he has a lot to improve in that area as well.
14:34So it's a player that is never going to be satisfied.
14:37You can tell him and praise him individually, never enough.
14:40He's never satisfied with his performance
14:42but that's what makes him as well so good.
14:45I mean that position in particular, it's so hard to adapt to meet some players like Rodri
14:49need a year. Did you think he would need a little bit more time?
14:54Did you think you'd be able to throw him in like you did that whole draft
14:57and you'd kind of barely be out of the team from then on?
15:00Yes, but I think the fact that he could prepare for a longer period
15:09because he sort of knew that he was coming, I think that helped.
15:13It wasn't something immediate that happened.
15:16So we talked a lot about why he was going to be needed, the challenges that he was going to face
15:20but as well that his abilities and capacities were going to fit so well within the team
15:25and he's proving that on the pitch.
15:28The last two in the Adelaide, of course he's Phil at the back.
15:31Just in the overall picture, you said he was in a great place before his injury.
15:36How long do you think it will take him to sort of get back to that place?
15:39Do you think he needs like a run of goals to just get the sort of confidence going
15:42and maybe silence any sort of critics that he has to do?
15:45Yeah, probably the thing that's going to unlock his goals
15:47and he's so used to that that I think he needs that for himself, for his confidence.
15:51And at the end we're going to judge his performances based on that as well.
15:58That's logical but for the rest I think he's in a really good place.
16:02I think physically he's in a good place and now he needs to start to compare the chances that he's getting.
16:08Yeah, we are a lot of teams that we are involved when you look at the table there and we know the situation with other clubs as well with Man City is always the case that you expect them to have with the quality that they have, the experience that they have in the competition.
16:25But the focus has to be on what we have to do.
16:42The club will be marking the 40th anniversary of Arsenal's community this weekend. How important is this and what does this connection to the wider community mean to you and the team?
16:54Yeah, that's something remarkable, probably amazing and the moment that the club started to do that probably could never imagine where we're going to be 40 years later.
17:03But that shows where it's coming from. I think the consistency in doing those things is the most difficult one.
17:10A lot of people engage or jump into things for a very short period of time and it's very difficult to be consistent.
17:17I think the impact that the club is having in our community and in a lot of people's life is something exceptional and it needs a lot of pricing.
17:26So thank you great!
17:27Thank you for that.
17:28Thank you very much.
17:30Thank you, Richard.
17:31We've got a question!
17:32The team will now go to Sorry一次.
17:34Thank you!
17:35Here we go talk show Achieve.
17:37And I'll get to.
17:38Thank you very much.
17:39There is a bit of your book500.
17:40Thanks a couple of our troops,師.
