00:00You've said before that you've loved every minute of being manager at Arsenal.
00:05I guess even when you said that you love it.
00:09Is picking this team currently fast becoming the worst part of your job?
00:16No, I cannot say that.
00:18It is the worst part in terms of the decision we set some place
00:24when you don't allow them to play, which is the hardest part in our job.
00:27But they acknowledge that as well and at the end it's like when they make decisions,
00:33some good, some bad, and not judging every decision that they make,
00:36we cannot do that so the other way around this cannot happen.
00:39So at the moment we are dealing with it in a really positive way
00:43and you can see the consequences to that in the impact that every play that is not playing is having
00:48and when they have to play the way they are performing.
00:50And you only do that with good preparation and good mental state.
00:54How do you manage that disappointment though?
00:57Because it's human nature for players to say,
00:59I should be playing, I deserve to play,
01:01but sometimes you have to tell them actually you're not going to be in the team today.
01:05Well, it's an education that you probably get since you are young
01:10and you decide to play football, you know that there are 11 players playing
01:13and then another 10 or 12 that they are not going to start the game.
01:16It doesn't mean they are going to be important for the team.
01:19So hopefully that's an education that all of us got with the right coaches very early in our careers.
01:24If I have to do that right now, obviously it will be difficult.
01:27And just try to do it, you know, with an open heart,
01:30understanding that you care about them and you want the best
01:33and they will have their moments.
01:35And then try to be as fair as possible when you see certain behaviours
01:39and that willingness to play gives them obviously the opportunity to play.
