00:00During a conference at the Second Summit of the Peoples of the Caribbean, Colombian President Gustavo Petro warned the region of the imminent danger of a U.S. invasion in the Caribbean.
00:12The President took advantage of his statement to highlight the anti-drug war facade used by Washington to plunder natural resources, attack innocent people and provoke regime changes in the region.
00:24President Pedro urged the international community to find a partial solution to preserve the Caribbean as a son of peace.
00:32At the end of his statement, the head of state of the South American nation urged the use of diplomacy to avoid the escalation of a military conflict of mayor proportions and prevent a scenario similar to the genocide perpetrated in the Gaza Strip.
00:47So we are in a second scenario after Gaza, the Caribbean.
01:00A hundred deaths could become thousands if they unleashed the invasion.
01:05They tell me that I am defending a dictatorship.
01:08I defend and want to defend life in the Caribbean and the people who live in the Caribbean.
01:13We have resolved dictatorships ourselves.
01:25We don't need more support for that if the people want to free themselves from dictators.
01:30And we have freed ourselves from dictators in the Caribbean.
01:33Not a single Latin American president has called another Latin American president to ask what to do about the fact that we are being invaded, because there are no international waters in the Caribbean.
01:52The Caribbean is full of Caribbean peoples and their political and economic forms of organization.
02:01There are no international waters in the Caribbean.
02:06So either missiles fall or missiles are launched from waters that do not belong to the owners of the missiles.
