00:05This is a beautiful story from the ancient Persian city of Isfahan
00:11about a man whose small act of kindness changed his life forever.
00:17In this lovely city lived a brilliant scholar named Muhammad Bakar.
00:22People called him Muhammad Bakari Isfahani, which means Muhammad Bakar of Isfahan.
00:30Despite his great wisdom, he was very poor.
00:34He lived on simple food for years, but one day, he had a strong craving for liver,
00:41a tasty and nourishing dish.
00:44Since he couldn't afford it, he started saving a tiny bit of money from his small earnings each day.
00:51It took him a very long time, but finally, he had enough to buy just one pound of liver.
00:59Feeling incredibly happy, he went to the market, bought a nice piece, and started heading home,
01:08dreaming of the delicious meal he was about to have.
01:11On his way, he passed a ruined house and saw something that stopped him in his tracks.
01:18A mother dog was lying there with her newborn puppies.
01:22She was so thin and hungry that her stomach was caved in, and she was too weak to even feed her little ones.
01:31They were all shivering in the cold.
01:33Muhammad Bakar's heart ached for them.
01:36He walked over, gently stroked the mother dog, and then, without a second thought, he opened the parcel he was holding so tightly.
01:47He took out of liver the food he had saved for so long to eat and began cutting it into small pieces.
01:54One by one, he fed the entire piece of liver to the starving mother dog and her pups.
02:02As she ate, the dog looked up at him with such gratitude in her eyes, and then she glanced towards the sky, as if thanking God for this kind stranger.
02:14That night, Muhammad Bakar went home with an empty parcel and an empty stomach.
02:21He was tired, hungry, and cold, but deep inside, he felt a profound sense of happiness.
02:30What happened next is truly amazing.
02:33Soon after that day, his life began to change.
02:37Opportunities started coming his way.
02:39Gradually, he became richer and richer, until the once poor scholar was a millionaire.
02:47He became so wealthy that he even loaned a large sum of money to the king of Isfahan when the kingdom was in need.
02:56This story teaches us a powerful lesson.
