00:31Before I get to those benefits, Commerce Secretary Howard Lefnick says 10,000 people have already signed up for the gold card.

00:47Lefnick also told the Financial Times that the card will actually be made of gold.
00:51After vetting and review are completed, applicants must provide a $1 million gift as evidence that they will substantially benefit the United States.
00:59There's also the Trump Corporate Gold Card for companies, but that one requires a $2 million gift per applicant.
01:06So what are the benefits?
01:07The Gold Card provides a pathway to U.S. citizenship, and the upcoming Trump Platinum Card will allow successful applicants to reside in the United States for up to 270 days a year without being subject to tax on non-U.S. income.
01:20So, if you have a million dollars sitting around, now you have somewhere to spend it.
