00:00Gemma, I must submit something. I did not know about all of this, but hopefully you can tell me more.
00:06How do people apply for one of Trump's golden cards? And do you get, like, amazing privileges? Because it's not cheap.
00:14It's, first of all, be rich.
00:17Be rich. That's the number one rule of applying for a Trump gold card. Be rich.
00:22So this was announced back in February.
00:25Now, this is the gold card, and foreigners who wish to apply for it, they have to be paying at least $1 million.
00:36That doesn't include all the additional fees as well that you're paying.
00:38So you've got to stump up a million to begin with.
00:41Now, it promises U.S. residency in record time.
00:44On the website, they're saying it could be a matter of weeks, when, as we know at the moment,
00:48going through the normal process for a green card or a visa can take months or years.
00:54So really expedited.
00:57Now, applicants also have to demonstrate that they can offer substantial benefit to the U.S.,
01:03whether that's investment, whether that's job creation.
01:06So there has to be further proof of that.
01:08You can't just turn up with a million and, you know, get your visa.
01:11You have to show that you're going to be investing in certain regions as well.
01:14Now, that's not even the top-tier card, okay?
01:17That is the platinum card, obviously, Trump's platinum card as well.
01:21Now, that is a cool $5 million.
01:24Wow.
01:25Okay, now what you get, you get substantial benefits for that.
01:28What you get is the chance to spend up to 270 days in the U.S. tax-free.
01:34And Lutnik, the United States Secretary of Commerce, now he's suggested that the money they make from all of these visas
01:44could generate up to a trillion dollars, and that could be used to tackle the national debt.
01:59Thank you very much.
