00:00Let's start by talking about the big, beautiful bill.
00:03It's being framed as a centerpiece of President Trump's second term agenda.
00:08How much public interest would you say there was overall in this bill?
00:13Well, I don't know so much as the public interest as far as hearing people talk about it in the public square, if you will.
00:20But I will say that this is the legacy bill for the president on the domestic front.
00:25Certainly other things are burning up on the foreign relations front.
00:30But for the president, this is an extension of his 2017 tax cuts.
00:35They have dubbed this the biggest tax decrease for Americans in our history.
00:42They're talking about $10,900 more in the average American family's pockets because of this.
00:50So they're looking at this as a huge victory lap if they can get this across the finish line, which obviously with President Trump's diplomacy, getting Republicans to the White House yesterday to coerce them, to convince them to get this done, they did.
01:08And they will pass this bill today.
01:10So really, this is a signature achievement for the president.
01:13A lot of the things that he campaigned on are in this.
01:16And I think that maybe not that people are talking about it now, but they will be because it will make a difference in the average American's pocketbook.
