Watch this incredibly precious throwback video of our son at just three days old. His arrival was the culmination of a massive journey: he was born via C-section at 37 weeks after 33 rounds of IVF. This clip truly showcases the fragility of a newborn and the immense luck we feel to have him.
A baby born at 37 weeks is classified as Early Term. While physically developed, babies at this stage can sometimes need extra support with breathing and regulation. To prepare, I received a steroid injection before delivery to ensure lung maturity. Despite this, he spent his first two days under observation in the Special Care Nursery (SCN).
We are now three years on, and he is thriving! This video is a reminder of the strength and perseverance required in the parenthood journey.
