00:00Eminem drops a new album and upsets a lot of people. Plus, Quavo gets emotional in the club.
00:10Hey guys, it's Ali for Hollywood Life with your hip-hop roundup starting with Quavo.
00:14TMZ reports the rapper showed up to the after party for Offset's Paris Fashion Week show,
00:19but he had some trouble getting in. The site says security didn't recognize him and stopped him at
00:23the entrance. One of the dancers from Le Twins got Quavo in, but the rapper never cooled off
00:28and reportedly started throwing punches. Offset and Cardi had already left the event by the time
00:33Quavo got there. And speaking of Cardi, TMZ reports the blinked out mask she wore took creator Bradley
00:38Jordan 36 hours to make. The site says Jordan had creative control, but had to make an important
00:44revision to meet Cardi's one request, being able to see without the slightest obstruction.
00:49To YK Osiris, TMZ reports the rapper who's currently out on bond for an assault case has filed docs
00:56asking a judge to let him fly to Toronto so he can record with Drake.
01:00According to YK's lawyer, someone from Drizzy's team named Preem reached out and requested Osiris
01:06get to the 6th ASAP for a multi-day recording session. Unfortunately, the studio dates were
01:10reported to be January 13th to the 16th, but Osiris waited until the 14th to file his request
01:16with the judge. And now it's the 17th, so I'm assuming time's up, right?
01:20Well, according to TMZ, Drake's camp didn't even know Preem was reaching out.
01:24And apparently there's no collab in the works, so does that mean YK was catfished?
01:28But okay, while we slept last night, the Eminem fairy softly crept into our rooms and slipped
01:32his new album under our pillows. Some people woke up to be delighted by the goat, while
01:37others were super pissed off about some of the album's lyrics.
01:40On track 2, unaccommodating Eminem raps, I'm contemplating yelling bombs away on the game
01:45like I'm outside an Ariana Grande concert. Some users on Twitter have been slamming the rapper
01:49for, quote, unnecessary reference to an attack that was obviously traumatic for Ariana and
01:54her fans. On the other side of the argument, Eminem fans have been tweeting that he's been
01:58fearlessly saying controversial things for years, while also pointing out headlines from
02:022018 that state that Ariana defended Pete Davidson over a Manchester joke.
02:06Some other key moments from the new album are Eminem saying his war with MGK is over,
02:11and the feature from the late Juice WRLD, his first since his passing. Eminem also touched upon
02:16mass shootings and called for gun control with his music video for Darkness.
