00:00Hi, guys. So good to see you and meet you virtually. I absolutely love the new album.
00:07I wanted to ask, what was the hardest part in putting all of this together in the last year and a half and just kind of feeling inspired while we've been going through such a difficult time?
00:19I mean, I think the blessing and the curse that we had on making this record, obviously, you know, it's been a crazy year.
00:25But the one thing that we did have was time. And that's something that we haven't had.
00:29I mean, you have your whole life to make your first record and then very little, you know, in between tours, trying to put together a record and make something that you're super proud of with very limited time while you're on the road.
00:40And that's one thing that we did have was a lot of time. And that was amazing.
00:43But it's also just a different process when you're putting that together. Over those months, you start to overthink things a lot of times.
00:48And you're, you know, you're just like, all right, are we going to like rethink this song? Is this right? Is this right?
00:53But it was really amazing to have that time. And Dan's very meticulous. He spends a lot of time on the detail.
01:00And that's what is so great about it. And I'm just it was amazing for me to sit back and watch just the genius behind the production of this record.
01:07I'm very proud of him, of just how much of a masterpiece I think that his production is on this record.
01:13And it was just incredible to kind of to watch that. But it was a really fun process, you know, having the time to actually be creative and pick the songs and make sure that we had a project together that we were super proud of.
01:24And we think that this is our best album by far. We're just super proud of this and had the time to think through things, but also trying to keep ourselves, you know, at bay, not trying to overthink it.
01:35But yeah, we're super proud of this record. And it was just the whole process was really fun being able to do this together.
01:42Hi, guys. Congratulations on the album. Super, super excited about it.
01:48But also, I know everyone's so excited about the fact that in addition to the album, you know, you have the tour coming up, too.
01:54And that was in place last year before this album even was coming out.
01:58So how has the new material kind of affected the process of putting a set list together for that?
02:02And, you know, what can you tease up for what to expect on the road?
02:05Yeah, I mean, it definitely it complicates it in a good way.
02:09It's kind of crazy having, you know, a couple more songs climb up the charts since we were last preparing our arena tour.
02:16We hadn't even got to really play 10,000 hours at that point.
02:19I think we did three shows, the two in Nashville and then Columbus and then, you know, everything shut down.
02:24So it was definitely an interesting process. We've been doing that recently and preparing for the tour.
02:28And it's really cool to be able to have a lot more songs in the arsenal, you know, a lot more arrows in the quiver, I guess.
02:34And it was just really cool to be able to to do that. But it also made it more difficult trying to pick, OK, what songs do we keep in here?
02:41Because, you know, there's always going to be someone who's like, you didn't play my favorite song and somebody is going to be upset.
02:47But, you know, unless we're playing three hours, it'd be really difficult to fit in every song that, you know, somebody loves and wants to hear that night.
02:53But, you know, we try to keep a lot of the old stuff in there, the people, you know, the stuff that people really reacted to live and and then add some new stuff.
03:01I feel like this record that people are going to react to it and and hopefully it'll be hopefully they'll want us to play them live.
03:06So, yeah, we're definitely going to be doing a lot of new songs and it'll be a feel very fresh to us as well, which is exciting to go out on the road and feel like we have a new show.
