Camila Cabello Reacts To Blue Ivy Grammys Moment | Hollywoodlife

00:00It's Camila Cabello vs. Blue Ivy as Cam's never-ending press tour rolls on.

00:08Hey guys, it's Ali for Hollywood Life and I swear to gosh I'm getting exhausted just

00:13watching how much media our girl Camila is doing to promote her self-titled debut album.

00:18But obviously it's working because it's still sitting in the Billboard Top 10 at number 10.

00:23Specifically our little Havana banana has been on the English leg of this world tour and has

00:28been giving one good performance after another like this rendition of Never Be The Same for Dancing On Ice.

00:35I literally didn't even know Cam played the guitar and I just want to point out what a good live

00:39singer she's become.

00:40Cam also stopped by the Graham Norton show and showed off her dancing chops during a performance

01:00of what else Havana.

01:02My favorite part of this appearance though is the interview when she sits down next to Daniel

01:06Kaluuya from Get Out. I swear this man goes into the sunken place with adoration for Cam.

01:12He's really feeling her. Look at this. He can't look away. But I get it. I totally feel the same.

01:18Okay, this is the other funny thing happening with Cam today. Recall at the Grammys Camila

01:23gave that really impactful speech supporting Dreamers. Dreamers is the term coined for non-American

01:29citizens brought to this country as children who are fighting to earn some kind of legal status so

01:34they can live and work in this country. Camila herself was born in Havana. Her mother is Cuban

01:39and her father's Mexican. So she has some feels on this.

01:42I'm here on this stage tonight because just like the Dreamers, my parents brought me to this country

01:48with nothing in their pockets but hope. They showed me what it means to work twice as hard

01:53and never give up. And honestly, no part of my journey is any different from theirs. And all I know

01:59is just like dreams. These kids can't be forgotten and are worth fighting for.

02:07Serious topic, obvs. But what's funny is the next day the big story was this video of Blue Ivy

02:13seeming to shush both Beyonce and Jay-Z during Cam's speech. But what do we think Blue was doing?

02:19Was she not into it or was she just telling Bey and Jay not to interrupt with their insipid applause?

02:25Well, Camila, who went on BBC Radio 1 with Nick Grimshaw, doesn't even know herself.

02:30Do you remember? What do you think that means? I don't know. I had a moment of just insecurity.

02:36I surprised myself. I was like, what does that mean? I literally went into it. I was like,

02:42I'm not going to go into this wormhole of like, do you think that she didn't like my speech? Or do you

02:47like, what do you think? I literally stopped. I was like, you know what? I'm not going to think about

02:51that. Right. We can't think about what Blue Ivy is. No, because I feel like she would like me.

02:56Yeah, I think she'd like you. I took it as. Kids like me. Grimshaw says he thinks Blue was just

03:01telling her parents to chill and let Cam speak. And I think that's probably right. Side note,

03:06notice how Cam was wearing these adorable glasses during the speech with her fancy dress. And it

03:11turns out, yes, she's super blind and she's being the cutest about it. I can't see from far away.

03:16So you can't read the thing. So I can't read the prompters. And so that my Grammys thing was long

03:22and I couldn't memorize it. And also memorizing it is terrifying. Yeah, that's too scary. It's

03:26terrifying. TV and everyone famous. So I had to go to the eye doctor and get glasses made and I had

03:31to put on my glasses. I like the glasses. But it was with my cute outfits. And now I'm going to have

03:36to put on my glasses with the Brit and I'm wearing this pretty dress. Like, come on, Grimmy. If I eat like 10

03:41bowls of carrots, do you think it'll, is it too late? I think if we do 10 today, 12 tomorrow, 16 on

03:47Wednesday, you will be able to read it. Camila is so successful right now and she is still all of us.
