00:00Mi primer momento de filmar es en Silverstone,
00:07en la carrera de la carrera en frente de 120,000 fans.
00:12Para ver eso, sabíamos que creeríamos algo
00:16que tendrá el test de tiempo.
00:20Es tan surreal, absolutamente surreal.
00:57I promise you we're going to do our best to do you guys justice.
01:00There's no way we could have made this film without the tight partnership with Formula One.
01:06You know, without the access we had, there's no way we could have pulled these scenes off.
01:10The access to the races, the access to the track, you know,
01:13we were able to shoot during the National Anthem standing next to the drivers.
01:16We have a lot of the F1 drivers in the film.
01:19Once they saw what we were doing, they were all in.
01:22You were all our partners in this.
01:24Thank you for allowing us in.
01:26It is as authentic a racing movie has ever been.
01:32The journey from getting the script for the first time
01:35to being here at Silverstone super embedded into this environment,
01:39it's just incredible.
01:41We had to prove to F1 that we could slot ourselves into the race weekend
01:47without cocking up their programming
01:49because it is military precision, it's to the minute.
01:52The timeline is precise, there is no wiggle room.
01:55So there was a lot of pressure just to get it right.
01:58By painstakingly going through all the what-ifs and plan B's and plan C's and many, many rehearsals,
02:06everyone got to a point so that we could be confident that nothing we did would compromise the integrity of the race.
02:13This will be live, so we can't just cross over.
02:16Having minutes to shoot a scene versus all day required us to make adjustments on our side,
02:21but at the same time, it infused the filmmaking process with this kind of energy that I hope you can feel on screen
02:29because what you're seeing is real.
02:30We're filming live.
02:35That was it. No more than two takes.
02:37You have to sort of nail it.
02:39It was sort of like doing theatre on steroids.
02:42If we get it, we get it. So you have to be on it.
02:44It's a lot of pressure. I got really nervous.
02:46You know, the national anthem for one was a big one.
02:48It's you, you, Verstappen's next to you.
02:52And then being at the end for the grid start, you know, I'm right behind the cars.
02:57It was all planned, but no one knew if it was going to work.
03:01It was a first time for everyone.
03:03That kind of pressure on a scene gives it its own momentum, its own energy.
03:08And it's like everything's on the line, and I think people are going to feel that.
03:12We also had to work with our broadcast team to make sure that the international feed, the global broadcast,
03:18kept clear and de-conflicted with that action.
03:20So if you were a fan watching at home, you would have had no idea that those two Apex cars were on the grid.
03:25Of course, if you were in the grandstand, you could see it.
03:27Even our crew had to wear a costume because we had to blend in.
03:31The whole world of news was there. That scene was incredible.
03:36And then when it came to the actual national anthem, you know, I had Brad on my left and Verstappen on my right.
03:42And I remember asking him, I was like, when you guys sing the national anthem, do you put the race suit up?
03:47Would you like have it down? What'd you do?
03:49And he was like, either is fine. It's okay. It's fine.
03:51And I was like, okay, cool.
03:53For me, it was my favorite day on set.
03:57We pulled off something that's never happened in filmmaking before.
04:00We were all so pumped and it was just such a magical experience.
04:05We honestly felt like a real team.
04:07And we just burst into this unplanned chant.
04:12And I got honestly goosebumps.
04:13It was magical. That's what it was.
04:15I think after that first Silverstone race, that certainly was a little bit of a test run.
04:22But that first weekend went so well that after that, you know, I think they got more and more used to us being around.
04:29The whole sport being on board.
04:31I was just really proud.
04:32By the end of it, we felt oddly part of it.
04:36Having Damson and Brad both drive on the track this weekend in our car that we built.
04:41Getting footage for this story is amazing.
04:44It was definitely one of the most intense days I've ever had on a film set.
04:47But the energy of the crowd, the cars, standing next to all the F1 drivers and then having Damson and Brad there with them.
04:54That was one of those moments I'll never forget.
04:56That was one of those moments I'll never forget.
