00:00:00It's an emergency.
00:00:07Hi, Elia.
00:00:09Sorry, I'm a bit rattled.
00:00:11Upstairs, we literally woke up and there was so much, like,
00:00:16banging, crashing, someone screaming,
00:00:20someone, like, moaning.
00:00:22Just going up to knock on the door, sorry.
00:00:25I had a massive bang.
00:00:27It sounded like a gunshot.
00:00:29Right, what do you mean it sounded like a gunshot?
00:00:31I was knocking on the door and he was, like, groaning,
00:00:34like someone was beating him up.
00:00:36And then I heard a massive, massive bang,
00:00:39and it ran down to my house.
00:00:42That was a gunshot, I'm not joking.
00:00:44OK, all right, keep your door locked.
00:00:47And we'll be there shortly, OK?
00:00:49If you hear anything else, call on 999.
00:00:52All right, thank you.
00:00:53All right, bye-bye.
00:00:56What's in there?
00:00:58Oh, yeah.
00:00:59Sorry.
00:01:00I've just been monitoring ALVCTA if this is going to be our firearms authority.
00:01:13It's crucial that we find the truth.
00:01:42We've got to question everything, believe nobody.
00:01:50It's always a game of chess, trying to slip up.
00:01:54This is your opportunity to talk to me.
00:01:57It's always a game of chess.
00:02:07It's always a game of chess.
00:02:08It's always a game of chess.
00:02:13Show me your hands!
00:02:15Police talk to a taser!
00:02:17Show me your hands!
00:02:18Get down!
00:02:19End of the address, make yourselves known!
00:02:23Oh, you stayed on that, yeah?
00:02:24Yeah, yeah.
00:02:25Have you seen any party?
00:02:27There is a female in the property, believed deceased.
00:02:31Second male inside on the floor.
00:02:33We've got a male inside the property.
00:02:35Bedfordshire police have been called to reports of a gun being fired in a high-rise flat in Luton.
00:02:41Make your way out of the flat right now!
00:02:48We can see blood falling.
00:02:50Look at the floor here.
00:02:54There's a body right through that door.
00:03:01Right, I want one officer that side.
00:03:06No one comes this way.
00:03:08One officer downstairs, one officer up the stairs.
00:03:10Make sure no one comes up or down those stairs for a time being.
00:03:13OK?
00:03:14What are we thinking?
00:03:15What do you mean?
00:03:16He's done her and he's done himself.
00:03:17Totally.
00:03:18We're getting no other noise.
00:03:19You've not heard any noise from inside.
00:03:21I can't see it, but can you smell it?
00:03:23Armed response officers are required in order to enter the flat and search for the shooter.
00:03:33Yes.
00:03:40If you've heard anything, do you want me to follow?
00:03:42No, nothing.
00:03:43Stump! Stump!
00:03:44Stump!
00:03:45Stump!
00:03:46Stump!
00:03:47Come your ears. Move back. Come your ears, it's going to be loud.
00:03:49Someone back, someone.
00:03:50Come your ears.
00:03:53I'm in the back of my van!
00:03:58I'm in the back of my van!
00:04:00Take the floor! I'm holding!
00:04:02Yep
00:04:05For a victim, I'm in!
00:04:11Three.
00:04:13To be more sorry.
00:04:14To be more sorry!
00:04:15To be more, hold there!
00:04:17Hold him!
00:04:19It's supposed to be all set up.
00:04:22Yeah, it's right the same.
00:04:23Yeah.
00:04:24Halloween.
00:04:25Halloween.
00:04:26Check it out first.
00:04:28Oh, please, anyone else inside this flat?
00:04:30Let yourself go!
00:04:31Small room, stay out!
00:04:33What's that?
00:04:36What's the shells?
00:04:38No shotgun.
00:04:40Shotgun.
00:04:41I've just sent someone on the phone.
00:04:43Who's gone down to?
00:04:44Shell's got no shotgun.
00:04:45Ella's just gone down to find you,
00:04:46and then she'll bring you guys up.
00:04:48They filmed shells when I shot a gun.
00:04:51They've got shells.
00:04:58You know, communal areas, we've been leaving,
00:05:00we've been searching for native, no persons.
00:05:04Our threat now is that we've got an outstanding subject
00:05:08with a shotgun that has been used to murder three people.
00:05:12With three victims found dead and a suspect with a firearm at large,
00:05:28senior officers head to the scene.
00:05:30408 en route.
00:05:32408 en route.
00:05:39Triple murder.
00:05:40I've never been to anything like this.
00:05:42I don't think it's any kind of preparation that we can ever teach police officers,
00:05:46police staff about what you're going to think, do, feel at any instance such as this.
00:05:50Police escalate the hunt for the shooter and declare a critical incident.
00:06:07By declaring it as a critical incident.
00:06:08Right now, whatever else is going on,
00:06:11this is going to take priority.
00:06:13This person could cause more harm.
00:06:16Control.
00:06:20Control.
00:06:21That's what I'm fine.
00:06:22Coming towards Luton, the governor suspect.
00:06:24I've got no further details.
00:06:26Yeah, obviously, we've got no description.
00:06:29There's a number of fields and open spaces and wooded areas surrounding this area.
00:06:34Any lone males would be worth considering.
00:06:38Yeah, there's noted that Five Springs, the Master Arm area, looking for persons.
00:06:43Yeah, the lifts are all up because of the smoke.
00:07:02I will speak in a minute.
00:07:04Hi.
00:07:05Hi.
00:07:06Hi.
00:07:07Hi.
00:07:08Hi.
00:07:09Hi.
00:07:10Hi.
00:07:11Have you had all the updating information, sir?
00:07:17Briefly a bit.
00:07:18I'm happy to have him again.
00:07:19OK.
00:07:20So it's through the disease inside.
00:07:21What appears to be, mum and two kids,
00:07:23full shotgun injuries to walk leads through the haem
00:07:27and not producing life.
00:07:28It's not being a first aid detective.
00:07:30Amber, it's all doing the same thing.
00:07:31It's just confirmed.
00:07:32Searching bell.
00:07:34We can't see any fire on its other property.
00:07:36In terms of the children, are they in bed, out of bed?
00:07:39Roughly how old do you know?
00:07:4215, 14, 15.
00:07:44OK.
00:07:45It's kind of difficult to tell.
00:07:47Oh, boys.
00:07:48Can you ask us to go on the tour to call me on my mobile or point to point me, please?
00:07:57Yeah, there's no sighting at all relating to the offender.
00:08:07Yeah, that's received by a pass.
00:08:11The world is going to wake up soon.
00:08:16There's going to be people out.
00:08:17There's going to be mothers and fathers taking their children to school.
00:08:20There's going to be people going to work.
00:08:22The risk to members of the public getting injured is going to be a lot higher.
00:08:28Hi, hi, I think you called us.
00:08:52Am I right to pop in quickly just after a quick few questions?
00:08:56Bedfordshire police have been called to the scene of a shotgun shooting.
00:09:01Three people have been found dead and the suspected murderer is still at large carrying a firearm.
00:09:09I was sleeping and then I had loads of like, sorry, I won't force this.
00:09:22Take the time.
00:09:23I had loads of like banging and crushing.
00:09:27Like, I can't really describe it, but it was just like loads of banging and crushing basically.
00:09:33And then I heard like some screaming, moaning, and then my dog was literally going absolutely bizarre.
00:09:44So I ran upstairs and I was knocking and as I was knocking I could hear banging.
00:09:52It was like someone was in the hallway that they were like moaning.
00:09:57All I could hear was like punching sound or like a kicking sound or something.
00:10:02This was when you were in the hallway?
00:10:03This was when I was knocking on the front door and I could hear a boy groaning.
00:10:08Like, oh, oh.
00:10:10But it continued to happen, even though I continued to knock.
00:10:14Yeah.
00:10:15Erm, so it's literally so, so traumatic.
00:10:19Don't be, like, take your time.
00:10:21So, sorry.
00:10:23You're doing really well.
00:10:25Honestly, it's OK.
00:10:27I'm knocking at the door and I knocked again and I had a very big bang.
00:10:36A bang, yeah.
00:10:37And I ran downstairs and then that's when I called the police.
00:10:40OK.
00:10:41I literally heard nothing from that point.
00:10:52Like, it was like maybe five minutes after there was like a movement.
00:10:57Yeah.
00:10:58Erm, but then literally it went eerily quiet and I said to my partner, like,
00:11:03it's strange.
00:11:04Like, I've lived here for 12 years.
00:11:07I've lived here for 12 years and I've never heard them even make a sound.
00:11:11Like, they're usually really quiet.
00:11:13Like, it's the mum and the three kids.
00:11:15I think the daughter's maybe about 14.
00:11:17Yeah.
00:11:18Erm...
00:11:19The other boy, he's maybe about 15, 16 and then there's an older one.
00:11:26I think he's maybe about 18.
00:11:28Boy?
00:11:30Yeah.
00:11:31Two boys and one girl.
00:11:32Do you know the mum's name?
00:11:34I don't know.
00:11:36She's like, erm...
00:11:37She works insane for us.
00:11:39Er, the original informant, there was definitely three children,
00:11:49but there's only two children inside.
00:11:50I'm just going to get ARVs to do a further swoop.
00:11:53There's three children, so we've got a child missing.
00:11:57Can you go in and check all the wardrobes, all the beds?
00:12:01Yeah.
00:12:02Check everywhere where there might be a child hiding.
00:12:04Sorry.
00:12:05So, one of the females potentially is about 14, one of the victims.
00:12:12Erm...
00:12:14Male looks around 18,
00:12:16and there's another female who looks probably in her thirties,
00:12:19potentially male.
00:12:20OK.
00:12:21Two children.
00:12:22We've got the other child missing.
00:12:24How many children are?
00:12:25There's three children.
00:12:26One male child.
00:12:27Yeah.
00:12:28Is there a quick way of finding out how many kids there should be?
00:12:30There should be three?
00:12:31Yeah.
00:12:32We've got two.
00:12:33The eldest son will be, you know, support.
00:12:37Could you just go down?
00:12:38I'm a 24-8.
00:12:39Can we?
00:12:40That's true.
00:12:41Yeah, from OFC, there is still ammunition outstanding,
00:12:44and the firearms outstanding.
00:12:54To be able to kill a family tells me that there is some kind
00:12:59of intent there towards that family.
00:13:02Somebody who knows the family, because there was no forced entry.
00:13:07At the moment, we don't know who the offender is.
00:13:10We have no direction of travel.
00:13:12And we've just called the safety engineer for the building.
00:13:19He is coming here.
00:13:20I know we haven't got much to go on at the moment,
00:13:23but at this time in the morning, anyone sort of sat out in the field on their own,
00:13:26potentially work a look out of us.
00:13:28It's needling a haystack.
00:13:30Where do you start?
00:13:31They've got a good sort of 20 minutes on us.
00:13:34You can cover a long distance in those 20 minutes.
00:13:37You can go by foot, bike, car.
00:13:39For all I know, you could have gone to Luton Airport and boarded a plane.
00:13:42Officers gain access to the CCTV recordings from the flat.
00:13:53That indicates that he's come out.
00:13:55Do you know the flight of stairs that I run up?
00:13:57Yeah.
00:13:58Is it that door?
00:13:59Yeah, yeah, yeah.
00:14:10Is that him?
00:14:17Is that the gun on his back?
00:14:18In the bag?
00:14:19It certainly looks like a rifle bag.
00:14:24He's not in any rush, is he?
00:14:27It's just, bearing in mind everything he's just done,
00:14:29he's not rushing at all.
00:14:45It's got to be him,
00:14:46because no-one else is coming out at that time of the day,
00:14:49carrying what he's looking like, what he's carrying.
00:14:52That's Lee Banking in the middle.
00:14:54So he's walked out the back to this...
00:14:58this tree line here.
00:15:00Yeah.
00:15:01And then down that way is McDonald's,
00:15:03that way is Sunland Park.
00:15:05Bear in mind what he has done,
00:15:07this is not how I would expect the reaction to be.
00:15:12Which tells me that he is either very unwell, maybe,
00:15:16or doesn't care.
00:15:19But what it does make him is highly unpredictable and dangerous.
00:15:28There's no sighting at all relating to the offender.
00:15:32There's no sighting at all.
00:15:38With three people dead,
00:15:39and the suspected triple murderer on the run,
00:15:42Bedfordshire Police's Major Crime Unit
00:15:45will now lead the investigation.
00:15:47The original is told that he came out here,
00:16:05but we've got a camera,
00:16:07you can just see one of those posts there,
00:16:10which suggests that he comes from this direction.
00:16:13Yeah.
00:16:14But then he walks down here.
00:16:17We lose him...
00:16:18To the woods, yeah.
00:16:19To the woods.
00:16:20So do you want to walk it through with this?
00:16:22So that would just give you the first-person view.
00:16:24Yeah.
00:16:25And then we can...
00:16:26We can give you an overview flight with the drone.
00:16:29Detective Chief Inspector Sam Karner is tasked with overseeing the case.
00:16:40It is a job like no other,
00:16:42investigating the most serious crime,
00:16:45predominantly homicide.
00:16:49It does take its toll.
00:16:51It really does take its toll.
00:16:53We spend a lot of time at horrific crime scenes.
00:16:57You see humanity at its lowest.
00:17:03It's all right, yeah.
00:17:04It's all right, yeah.
00:17:05It's all right, yeah.
00:17:06It's all right, yeah.
00:17:07It's all right, yeah.
00:17:08It's all right, yeah.
00:17:09It's all right.
00:17:16It is really difficult to...
00:17:18to not take your work home with you.
00:17:22This is the first triple murder that I've worked on.
00:17:26Certainly the hairs in the back of my neck are standing up.
00:17:29And I'm thinking,
00:17:30right, where do we...
00:17:31where do we go from here?
00:17:32Because it's not something I've ever experienced before
00:17:35and that there's no particular manual that tells you
00:17:38how to deal with a triple murder.
00:17:40Yeah, it's a horrific scene.
00:17:53Um...
00:17:56As you go in, there's mum lying on her back there.
00:18:00Then you walk past her into the lounge, there's daughter.
00:18:03There's multiple shots fired up.
00:18:04We can't work out.
00:18:05Windows have been shot out.
00:18:07There's blood spatter in every direction.
00:18:21Um...
00:18:22And then round the other.
00:18:24So, go back to the front door.
00:18:25Instead of turning left, you turn right.
00:18:26There's sun there.
00:18:36There's certain things that will get to people
00:18:38depending on their life experiences,
00:18:39their...
00:18:40their life outside of...
00:18:41of policing.
00:18:42But...
00:18:43what was within that flat is...
00:18:45you can't prepare yourself for.
00:18:47Um...
00:18:48It was something that no-one should ever have to walk into.
00:19:10Gone in the flat and everything.
00:19:11Yeah.
00:19:12The most horrific one I've seen.
00:19:13Yeah.
00:19:14Just, you know, really sad, really.
00:19:16Um...
00:19:17Yeah.
00:19:17Yeah, I'm just amazed that no-one else has called in.
00:19:19Um...
00:19:20Because there's...
00:19:21There's clearly more shots than...
00:19:22One, two, three.
00:19:23Somebody said to me that, er...
00:19:25There's kids and stuff coming up to officers
00:19:27saying that they got woken up as well by little banks.
00:19:29Oh, right, OK.
00:19:30This was in response to a report of disturbance
00:19:33called into us by a member of the public.
00:19:35Officers deployed to the address concerned immediately
00:19:39and sadly, upon arrival, we found...
00:19:41We found three people who have been very badly injured.
00:19:44Sadly, all of those three people
00:19:46were subsequently pronounced dead at the scene.
00:19:50We've immediately launched a murder investigation
00:19:53deploying officers from our specialist crime
00:19:56and team within our major crime unit.
00:20:06I'm just checking down the list.
00:20:08Uh, there's a few people still waiting.
00:20:12In respect to Adrian Cunningham.
00:20:13Welcome.
00:20:14I'm the boss.
00:20:15Due to the severity of the case,
00:20:17the force's highest-ranking officers meet
00:20:19to help manage the investigation
00:20:21and decide what information will be released to the media
00:20:24while the suspect's identity is unknown.
00:20:27Today's meeting is the gold group for Operation Longacre.
00:20:30We want to be transparent.
00:20:32We want to tell the public what is going on
00:20:34in a way that doesn't cause fear.
00:20:37Get the facts out there and provide that reassurance.
00:20:41Quite often, you get told about something
00:20:43that you need to get briefed about
00:20:45but then you can step away from it
00:20:46because you're reassured that the response is appropriate
00:20:48and doesn't need your involvement.
00:20:51But I knew fairly early on
00:20:52this was going to be one of those cases
00:20:54that I was going to stay involved in.
00:20:56A case like this impacts the whole community.
00:21:00Residents of the premises nearby
00:21:03and the emergency responders
00:21:05that go to an incident like this
00:21:07are going to have that incident in their mind
00:21:09for the rest of their lives.
00:21:11We didn't know anything about him.
00:21:24I just said to the officers
00:21:26stop anyone that looks unusual
00:21:28that looks out of place.
00:21:35Go with that gut instinct
00:21:37and that's what they did.
00:21:39OK, so if you'd like to say anything
00:21:48but it may help your defence
00:21:49if you do not mention
00:21:50when questioned
00:21:51or something which says Friday court
00:21:53anything you do say
00:21:54you may be given an evidence.
00:21:55It's not a murder.
00:22:00It's not a murder.
00:22:01Yes, yes, we've got a mail here.
00:22:02It's not a murder.
00:22:05I lost my phone.
00:22:09Sir, it wasn't murder.
00:22:14It wasn't murder.
00:22:16Officers have arrested a man
00:22:18on suspicion of triple murder.
00:22:21It wasn't murder.
00:22:22It's my mother, my sister and my brother.
00:22:25The mail is, I would say, he won't.
00:22:29He's first introduced himself.
00:22:30He said it's not a murder.
00:22:32He's presented as quite confused.
00:22:34I'm meeting Nicholas.
00:22:35Nicholas Prosper.
00:22:37Yeah, 46, just to confirm
00:22:39he said his name's Nicholas Prosper.
00:22:42I have a knife in my right pocket.
00:22:44Apparently he's got a knife on him.
00:22:45In my right pocket.
00:22:46Yes, yes, I secured him.
00:22:49Sorry, I have a stutter.
00:22:50That's OK.
00:22:51In my right pocket, it's here.
00:22:52OK, that's fine.
00:22:53Just stay very still, OK?
00:22:55I heard them say,
00:22:57priority, I think we've got him.
00:22:59Oh, my God.
00:23:01Thank God for that.
00:23:03Did you see the shotgun certificate I made?
00:23:06Right, like I said to you, OK, the grounds for your arrest.
00:23:15Obviously, we've attended an address today
00:23:16and we've located three deceased people.
00:23:18So, you're under arrest for murder.
00:23:20I was sleeping there.
00:23:21And like I've already mentioned to you,
00:23:23you didn't say anything.
00:23:24I was sleeping there and I worked hard.
00:23:25You didn't mention one question.
00:23:26We haven't put my hand in for...
00:23:27...anything you do say.
00:23:28Maybe give an evidence.
00:23:29I was sleeping there and I worked hard
00:23:30but I didn't go there.
00:23:31I'll pass it over there.
00:23:32Did you see my fake shotgun certificate?
00:23:34In the room, where's the shotgun?
00:23:37It's in the woods over there.
00:23:51I'm not entirely sure around, you know,
00:23:54because he's away from the scene,
00:23:56whether he's flat placed down
00:23:59or he's presented and made significant comments
00:24:03and he's got blood splatter on his clothes
00:24:06and he's got a knife on him.
00:24:07This is going to be the child.
00:24:09He's the 18-year-old child that is from that address.
00:24:11He's 18.
00:24:12Where's the other child?
00:24:13What children?
00:24:14Any other children?
00:24:15He's probably going to be the outstanding male.
00:24:17Three members of my family.
00:24:19Three members of your family, yeah?
00:24:20Is that it?
00:24:21My...
00:24:22Sorry about the stuffer.
00:24:23OK?
00:24:24My sister, Juliana Falcon, my sister, Giselle Foster,
00:24:28and my brother, Kyle Foster.
00:24:30We're dealing with a horrific crime
00:24:32and to learn that it was a family member,
00:24:35you can't understand what would have prompted him
00:24:38to do such a thing, to take their lives away,
00:24:41is incomprehensible.
00:24:43This person must be mentally unwell
00:24:48or there's something significant within that family
00:24:50that we're yet to identify.
00:24:52Yeah, you're right.
00:24:53I'm just going to show you.
00:24:54I'm told you've got a knife on you.
00:24:55Whereabouts is that?
00:24:56In my right pocket or on my right trunk.
00:25:00Can I get a tube?
00:25:02I said it wasn't mad, but I did...
00:25:15OK.
00:25:16Sorry, sir.
00:25:17Don't worry, don't worry.
00:25:18You just stand still.
00:25:19I'm going to move around you, OK?
00:25:20Yes, sir.
00:25:23I have a yellow pocket hat in my house.
00:25:27Just...just explain.
00:25:32We're going to bag his hands up, all right?
00:25:34OK, mate, what's going to happen is
00:25:35he's going to put some pads over your hands.
00:25:37You don't have to worry about it.
00:25:38Listen to me.
00:25:43The sun's right on our eyes now.
00:25:44Step out of the sun.
00:25:48I'm pretty sure that our scene is the one with the,
00:25:51um, sort of, uh, ivy netting here, the green netting.
00:25:55But, as you'll see, around the side,
00:25:57we've cordoned off a fire escape,
00:25:59and there is a fire escape there,
00:26:01so it makes sense he's come that way.
00:26:03And there's certainly, um,
00:26:05bloods and body material out that side,
00:26:08so it makes sense he's come down that way.
00:26:10What we're going to do, mate,
00:26:11is we're going to, once we've searched you,
00:26:13we're going to walk you down with us
00:26:15to where this weapon is,
00:26:16and you're going to show us, all right?
00:26:17Yes, sir.
00:26:18Does that make sense?
00:26:19Yes, sir.
00:26:20You know, I don't know how, but my mother, um,
00:26:23my mother heard of me in my, in my,
00:26:25in my brother's room.
00:26:27I don't, I don't know.
00:26:28I spent, I spent the last, like, 40 minutes looking for them.
00:26:31Have they switched on?
00:26:32Should be.
00:26:34Are you going to search them with, like,
00:26:36your data, like, mining shit?
00:26:38Don't have to worry about that.
00:26:40Are the schools in lockdown?
00:26:47Huh?
00:26:48Are the schools in lockdown?
00:26:50I don't know.
00:26:51Don't know.
00:26:52Can't answer that question, all right?
00:26:53Okay, sir.
00:26:54What we need you to do is show us where this, uh,
00:26:57weapon is, all right?
00:26:58Yes, sir.
00:26:59Um, how did you get into, into the armed police?
00:27:03Oh, don't worry about that.
00:27:05All right?
00:27:06All right.
00:27:07Yeah, we did, we did.
00:27:08Concentrate on this, just walk down here.
00:27:09Are there any, uh, mental health conditions?
00:27:12No.
00:27:13No?
00:27:14Any disabilities at all?
00:27:15No.
00:27:16No, okay.
00:27:17I mean, I don't, so I haven't been checked.
00:27:19Is it this wooden fence here, is it?
00:27:21Yes, this wooden fence here.
00:27:28Do you know how far up it is, by any chance,
00:27:29if you don't remember?
00:27:30I forgot.
00:27:31Okay, that's all right, all right.
00:27:32I don't remember how far up it is.
00:27:36So, from the ballistic scientists, um, there is blood in the kitchen,
00:27:45which is more consistent with stabbing wounds than shotguns.
00:27:52They wouldn't tell us that, are they?
00:27:53Yeah, because the blood on the, where the kitchen sink is,
00:27:56where that bent knife is, that's more consistent with blood
00:28:00from a stab wound than a shotgun.
00:28:03Okay?
00:28:04Okay.
00:28:05So, the theory is that a fight, the two brothers have had a fight,
00:28:10which has started in the kitchen, or possibly in one of the bedrooms.
00:28:15Um, the mother and daughter have woken up, they've gone towards the kitchen area,
00:28:22the mother has been shot, the mother has been shot in where, basically where she's dropped,
00:28:28she's been shot in the back.
00:28:29Um, the daughter, they think, this is their hypothesis, has been shot in the kitchen,
00:28:36has turned to run, or get away, got as far as the table, and then has been shot again.
00:28:42Yeah.
00:28:43Tried to get away, and got as far as the table, and then, full on.
00:28:51I, I went to that school.
00:28:53Tried to get away, just recording everything on their phones.
00:29:07Just recording everything.
00:29:09Huh?
00:29:10Nothing.
00:29:15Is my father aware?
00:29:17Don't worry about who's aware. We're aware.
00:29:19That's all that matters at the moment, OK?
00:29:21You're safe with us, and that's the main thing, OK?
00:29:24I'm not safe.
00:29:26You're safe with us.
00:29:34Right. Watch your head as you step in, OK?
00:29:36Yes, sir. So, take a step up.
00:29:38Oh, shoelace on...
00:29:40That's all right, don't worry about it.
00:29:42Watch your head. Watch your head.
00:29:44It's going to come off my custody.
00:29:46Yep, take a seat on your side.
00:29:48Should we have a seat on the edge, just so you don't push your hands on the back, OK?
00:29:52Part of the line.
00:29:53Yeah.
00:29:54Just saying. Is that a quick search? Obviously roadside.
00:29:56Knife was recovered. That's out.
00:29:58Yeah.
00:29:59Only other things to be aware of Philip's blood spray on his glasses.
00:30:03Right, OK.
00:30:04I've not taken them off in a minute.
00:30:06That's fine.
00:30:07He hasn't kicked off in a very strange manner, right?
00:30:09Yeah.
00:30:10All right?
00:30:11No, that's fine.
00:30:12No worries.
00:30:13You're happy?
00:30:14Right, I'm going to shut.
00:30:16It's quite chilling.
00:30:18You can't prepare.
00:30:20I think it's afterwards that you think about it and process it.
00:30:26In that moment, we have got a job to do.
00:30:28And as harsh as that may sound, we are the police.
00:30:31We have got a job to do and we have to do that.
00:30:33And for me, looking after my team, that's what takes over.
00:30:36I could tell by their faces that this was going to have a lasting impression on them.
00:30:46Sorry.
00:30:47No, no.
00:30:48Sorry.
00:30:49No, no.
00:30:50Bear with me.
00:30:53One second.
00:30:56One second.
00:30:57Hmm.
00:30:59Suspected triple murderer, 18-year-old Nicholas Prosper, is brought to Lutam Police Station for further investigation.
00:31:15Prosper, stand on for the left.
00:31:43With the suspect in custody, attention turns to reassuring the public.
00:31:56There's no wider threat to the public and we need to really strongly get that message out there.
00:32:00Yeah, absolutely acting alone.
00:32:02We're going to be reassuring the community, just making sure I've got this right in terms of what we're going to be saying to the media.
00:32:10By the time we're pulling together our media strategy, I'm as satisfied as I can be that there's no ongoing threat to the public.
00:32:20It's hugely worrying. It's going to have a massive impact on so many people.
00:32:25But absolutely paramount is getting that message out there to the wider community, to reassure them, so that panic doesn't set in.
00:32:37Yes, sir.
00:32:39Morning, sir. Have you been arrested before?
00:32:43No.
00:32:44I'm only here to look after you. I'm not involved in the investigation whatsoever. I'm purely in the matter of that you're okay.
00:32:48Yes, sir.
00:32:49Please be honest and truthful with me. I'll make sure I have to do it properly.
00:32:52What if I lie?
00:32:53If you lie, well, I can only go on what you've said to me.
00:32:56Okay, then I'll be... I'm the police, but I've been pretty honest so far.
00:33:01Perfect. Lovely. If you don't mind standing to your left slightly for me, so I can ask these guys why you're here.
00:33:06And then I'll come back to you in two seconds.
00:33:07That's it. If you just stand, that's it. Then I'll explain to the sergeant.
00:33:12Time's free.
00:33:15Those free pens is the only thing we're looking at at the minute.
00:33:17Yeah.
00:33:18Give me one second and I'll get you that hard, sir.
00:33:20Yeah, just like that.
00:33:21Right, one second.
00:33:22It sounds like he's doing a lot of talking from what Justin's...
00:33:39He's continuously talking. He's up and down, completely up and down at the moment.
00:33:47Hey, Sam.
00:33:48Hello, boss. Yeah, all good, thank you.
00:33:50I'm going to go shortly. I'm just going to go and finish up writing up my notes and then I'm going to go...
00:33:53Yeah, we're going to be standing down as many of the scene guards as possible fairly soon.
00:33:58Yeah.
00:33:59The gun's being recovered from the end where he was stopped.
00:34:02So it's just a walk through from Pulsar, then that'll go as well.
00:34:05So it'll just be the actual flat.
00:34:07The search recovers a double-barreled shotgun, along with a hundred cartridges.
00:34:19Some are discovered in the woods, with the rest found inside the flat.
00:34:23Any injuries you have at all?
00:34:29Cut to my hands from like digging around in the thorny bush, thorny stuff.
00:34:36I was looking for my phone, my two phones.
00:34:40Oh yeah, I think I got cut a bit like during... yeah.
00:34:49Any mental health issues?
00:34:51Not stuff I know more.
00:34:52Yeah.
00:34:53How are you feeling right now?
00:34:55Calm.
00:34:57Any alcohol or drugs in the last 24 hours?
00:35:00I wish.
00:35:01No.
00:35:02And we're going to have trouble doing formal IDs as well.
00:35:07Whether there's the old heel prick blood test that's taken from babies,
00:35:14or we might have to go through the medical records or, you know,
00:35:17because they're so young there's no... we're limited with options really,
00:35:21so we'll get there I'm sure, but we're all happy it is then,
00:35:25but in terms of the formality of it, it's more tricky, so...
00:35:29Yeah.
00:35:30Ever tried to harm yourself?
00:35:32I was thinking about using the shotgun on myself, so...
00:35:37Oh yeah, I read the comments earlier.
00:35:40Did you?
00:35:41Yeah.
00:35:42I didn't say that though.
00:35:43I didn't say that.
00:35:44To what perspective did?
00:35:45I did not say that I tried to kill myself with the shotgun.
00:35:48Okay.
00:35:49They lied then, I didn't say that.
00:35:51Okay.
00:35:52They're also going to take my stuff from my room.
00:35:56I would imagine your house will be searched as well, okay?
00:35:58I would envision that will happen.
00:36:00Erm...
00:36:01I have some very feisty stuff in there.
00:36:03That's fine.
00:36:04Don't worry about that.
00:36:05Don't stress about that.
00:36:06It's all good.
00:36:07There's a place to train to do with pretty much anything.
00:36:08Okay?
00:36:09So you're going to be going to a cell, DR5,
00:36:11and there's going to be no toilet in there, okay?
00:36:13I'm fine, I'm fine.
00:36:15I'm fine.
00:36:16I'm fine.
00:36:17I'm fine.
00:36:18I'm fine.
00:36:19I'm fine.
00:36:20I'm fine.
00:36:21Worth mentioning to the fellow the interviewer or NCO, the amount of significant comments
00:36:27or just...
00:36:28Yeah, that seems like all of these issues.
00:36:29Dropping things.
00:36:30Yeah.
00:36:31It's worth them having access to it.
00:36:32I see quite lately stuff like that.
00:36:34Yeah, yeah.
00:36:35Well...
00:36:36I mean, this is one of the worst ones I've seen because I've been here nearly seven years
00:36:46and you've got...
00:36:47Obviously, people get stabbed and stuff and there's usually motives behind it, like drugs
00:36:52or gang-related stuff, but this is just so random.
00:36:56It's like...
00:36:57It's a...
00:36:58It's a funny kind of dad into that.
00:37:02Yeah.
00:37:03What triggered him at that time?
00:37:04You weren't there anyway.
00:37:05He doesn't act like someone who's murdered his family.
00:37:10Someone who's...
00:37:11...knowledges what they've done.
00:37:17Yeah.
00:37:18Who knows what's going through his head?
00:37:20Yeah.
00:37:21It's difficult to understand it's such a good...
00:37:23It's just very...
00:37:26Yeah, I just...
00:37:27Still.
00:37:28It's almost like he'd come to terms with it before he did it sort of thing.
00:37:32It's just...
00:37:38Two mobile phones belonging to the suspect are found in the woods near the murder scene.
00:37:45They are seized for forensic digital investigation.
00:37:49I need information, I need to understand what has happened.
00:37:54Whilst I've never dealt with a triple murder before, it is a murder investigation.
00:38:00We still have the same lines of inquiry to follow.
00:38:03Intelligence analysts D.I. Lee Martin and D.S. Darren Murphy are assigned to the case.
00:38:17There's so much content on there.
00:38:19So I suppose we're going to have to have a conversation as to how we do this.
00:38:22Do we split up the dates?
00:38:23Do we...
00:38:24I'm not saying it's got 160,000 web searches that are drawn back.
00:38:27Right.
00:38:28I'm not saying, you know, will we have to look at every single one of them?
00:38:31Yeah.
00:38:32Possibly.
00:38:33Yeah.
00:38:34You know, looking at the concerning stuff or where does that start from?
00:38:37I've had a quick look just going back just to see if there's any kind of pattern or is
00:38:43it just, you know, completely across the months.
00:38:45Yeah.
00:38:46But it does appear at this stage that most of the web searches or the bulk of them are
00:38:51from June up until September.
00:38:54Right.
00:38:55And there is, obviously there's other searches on there, but we're talking about 80% of that
00:38:59phone, the search history is from June, which again could imply, has he been planning this?
00:39:05He's building up to something.
00:39:06Yeah.
00:39:07Or something, yeah, because that's a lot of activity.
00:39:09Well, we're going to have to go through everything.
00:39:13This, this is a separate investigation to the murders as far as I can see.
00:39:23Digital devices are so huge.
00:39:26There's terabytes of data and it's all about gathering evidence for the offence that's being
00:39:32investigated.
00:39:33When I joined the police, we just started getting emails.
00:39:38The internet wasn't a massive thing.
00:39:40And now everybody lives their lives on it.
00:39:44Everything is accessed on a smartphone.
00:39:46Yeah.
00:39:47It's, it's fraught with, with danger.
00:39:49Much appreciate it Darren.
00:39:50Thanks a lot.
00:39:51Cheers.
00:39:52Top man.
00:39:53Thanks a lot.
00:39:54See ya.
00:39:55Bye bye.
00:39:56Thanks a lot.
00:39:57Cheers.
00:39:58Top man.
00:39:59Thanks a lot.
00:40:00See ya.
00:40:01Bye bye.
00:40:02In an effort to reassure the public, a press release is prepared revealing some details
00:40:07of the investigation.
00:40:09You just don't want to put something out there that he laid to.
00:40:11Well, this is my point.
00:40:12I totally agree.
00:40:1310th scene.
00:40:14A woman, a boy and a girl.
00:40:16I don't even like that wording to be honest.
00:40:18Both believes to be teenagers with injuries.
00:40:20Authoring I said to see informal identification yet taking place next of kin have been informed.
00:40:24I'm going to raise an issue with that.
00:40:26An investigation immediately launched an 18 year old man believed to be from the same
00:40:28family as the victims was arrested.
00:40:33I think that's okay.
00:40:34Angela Brown Day.
00:40:35I'll try and.
00:40:36They want to say that it's a contained, you know, all family.
00:40:39You know.
00:40:40I think that's what they're trying to do.
00:40:41I get, I get the point.
00:40:42I totally get the point.
00:40:43It's just normally a bit further than we would have done.
00:40:46Quite that.
00:40:47It's early stage, yeah.
00:40:48Five o'clock in the afternoon.
00:40:49Yeah.
00:40:50You know, we're not even 12 hours in.
00:40:52No.
00:40:54We'd all seen how Southport had played out and that is why sharing information when
00:40:59we can, having the media on side and briefed as far as we can, it is so important because
00:41:05otherwise you lose that, that public trust and confidence.
00:41:09You would think of what is the language technique, but you didn't need enough for someone to
00:41:15not think they who receive yes.
00:41:18Yeah, like, I don't want to think of that as well.
00:41:20You wouldn't know if that's not correctly for somebody to put them in place.
00:41:23Well, but I don't know.
00:41:24Yep.
00:41:25You alright?
00:41:26Yeah.
00:41:27Are you alright?
00:41:30I don't know what I'm talking about.
00:41:33I'm just like remembering that I'm in French.
00:41:36Yeah.
00:41:37Well, just try not to worry about it too much and sit in and get yourself a little bit
00:41:45with the energy, yeah?
00:41:47Well, what do you think?
00:41:51I don't know. I don't know. I don't know. I don't know.
00:41:56My job is solid. You're okay.
00:41:59Yes, do you do?
00:42:01I don't know. Roughly.
00:42:03I've got three steps or something, but my job is really solid. You're okay.
00:42:10So sometimes I hurt myself or something like that. I'm just not going to be doing that.
00:42:15So I'm watching.
00:42:17I don't know what I'm doing. You've waited for us. You've won't be doing that.
00:42:23Okay?
00:42:24Well, I'm watching. I've got to be doing that.
00:42:27And then...
00:42:28We're watching.
00:42:29Yeah, I won't be. I won't be. But that's the most important part, isn't it?
00:42:34That's not my part.
00:42:35I'll probably be playing for a while. I can't be trying to do that with me.
00:42:39Okay? And I'm nice for people too.
00:42:42So why don't you just talk to me?
00:42:44Perfect.
00:42:45It's hugely worrying that someone that's not known to police for any criminal activity or even antisocial behaviour,
00:42:52they can go, I say, under the radar.
00:42:55There effectively wasn't even a radar out there because there was nothing there to help us to identify that this was going to happen.
00:43:02That is a hugely scary, scary thought.
00:43:10Okay, good evening everyone.
00:43:12We've done a load of work and a load of progression since we last met this morning.
00:43:18So we'll start at the top with family.
00:43:22Terence or Helen, are you able to give us an update on...
00:43:28You've been speaking to Dad today.
00:43:30So we spoke to the father and his wife.
00:43:35We took them to Luton Station to give them the agony message as expected and both of them were extremely distraught.
00:43:42I remember being a brand new police officer in uniform and having to do your first death message is so difficult.
00:43:51Hence why we've got experienced and trained family liaison officers but they are the ones that are breaking the news that no one ever wants to have to hear.
00:44:01So he was previously married to Juliana Falcon.
00:44:06We've managed to obtain all the family dynamics and their concerns about Nicholas's mental health, which they kind of explained further.
00:44:16So they would describe Nicholas as being highly intelligent.
00:44:23They knew he was very different to the rest of the family.
00:44:26He would kind of get interested in a subject and kind of get fixated and research all aspects of it.
00:44:40Being a non-aggressive and he was polite in terms of gaming, he was into gaming before but not recently.
00:44:49And he played things like Minecraft and I think it's called Roblox.
00:44:55He had a habit of not answering his phone.
00:44:58His behaviour deteriorated during lockdown and they tried to get him active and try to engage with him but he would just refuse.
00:45:10He wouldn't speak.
00:45:11So around two years ago, his cousin was driving his car and saw Nicholas near his school and kind of waved to greet him.
00:45:20He got no response back and kind of described him as being glazed, not in his senses.
00:45:27But the family's mother died.
00:45:28They were taking four hours into the hospital, not in his senses.
00:45:29They died, not in his senses.
00:45:30They had no response back to him.
00:45:31They were going to break down the street.
00:45:32They were doing his own life.
00:45:35And they were talking to me about the lights, but they were coming out of his brain.
00:45:36Kyle, who is sadly passed away,
00:45:41Kyle made the comment of something along the lines of
00:45:45Nicholas is not right.
00:45:49It's incomprehensible to think that someone
00:45:52without any mental health illness would kill three members
00:45:56of their own family, but it's a line of inquiry for us.
00:46:01There's obviously strict rules and processes to follow
00:46:05when someone comes into custody,
00:46:07and part of that being an assessment of their mental health.
00:46:10You're right.
00:46:34Detectives have an 18-year-old man in custody
00:46:51on suspicion of killing three members of his family.
00:46:54A murder investigation has been launched
00:47:04following the death of three people at a block of flats in Luton.
00:47:09An 18-year-old man was arrested.
00:47:11Detectives say they understand the news is shocking,
00:47:13but do not believe there's a threat to the wider community.
00:47:16The investigation into the suspect's phones
00:47:25has started to reveal a large number of images,
00:47:28videos and self-designed computer games.
00:47:37When you've got platforms that you can build your own games,
00:47:41that's where the issue is.
00:47:43The likes of Call of Duty, you play the game
00:47:47and yes, there's violence, but you can't adjust Call of Duty.
00:47:53If you can develop a game where you can go and shoot schoolchildren
00:47:58in a virtual world, there's something wrong there.
00:48:02He was looking at some pretty sick content
00:48:05really around quite notorious mass killers.
00:48:10He's looked at some mass shooting videos
00:48:12just on that initial review at the moment.
00:48:15He searched for arteries in the leg,
00:48:17main arteries in the leg, femoral arteries,
00:48:19heart shots, suicide by the next shot.
00:48:24He'd watched some animated porn as well
00:48:27in the early hours.
00:48:30You could see that he was clearly doing
00:48:32some sort of searches into potential suicide as well,
00:48:36so he was looking for jugular points on the archery.
00:48:43We've got a few areas.
00:48:45I don't know who's best to talk through intel,
00:48:48but I know we've got the Facebook post,
00:48:49which Darren and Sam looked at,
00:48:53and I think there's some phone work as well.
00:48:55Yeah, something jokes that I've heard in this morning.
00:49:01A video was loaded up onto his Facebook profile
00:49:06at about 6.22 this morning.
00:49:09On June 30th,
00:49:10we still decided to make the unique choices
00:49:13in episode one of the season one of The Walking Dead games.
00:49:17And for that,
00:49:17her face will be mutilated further than necessary.
00:49:20I also recall a video
00:49:29by Living Echoes on YouTube,
00:49:32Best of Lee and Clementine,
00:49:34definitive edition.
00:49:35It was a compilation,
00:49:36and he decided to kill Larry in front of Clementine.
00:49:42And then I later learned
00:49:44he decided to kill
00:49:45the St. Johns in front of Clementine.
00:49:47I am the chosen one
00:49:51chosen by Clementine.
00:49:54I am guided,
00:49:55as Christians are guided by Jesus Christ.
00:50:00And
00:50:01there will be
00:50:03no more
00:50:05killings of Larry's
00:50:06in front of Clementine,
00:50:08no more killings of St. John's
00:50:09in front of Clementine.
00:50:11That's the message I want to give out.
00:50:17It's chilling.
00:50:20The way he talks about
00:50:21about his sister,
00:50:23he's talking matter-of-factly
00:50:24about
00:50:24causing significant harm.
00:50:27He's
00:50:27talking about
00:50:28a video game.
00:50:30It's clear that he's got an obsession
00:50:32with this.
00:50:33But I bet your daddy scared him all away, huh?
00:50:36He's put that out there,
00:50:37and
00:50:38of course,
00:50:38with the way
00:50:39social media works these days,
00:50:41it gets shared
00:50:42and forwarded
00:50:43and passed around.
00:50:44You can get up a YouTube video
00:50:46that he made
00:50:46hours before
00:50:47he had done the crime.
00:50:49After a violent attack
00:50:50left a woman
00:50:51and two teenagers
00:50:52dead
00:50:52in their Luton flat.
00:50:54And before you know it,
00:50:55it's all over the place.
00:50:57And it goes a long way
00:50:58to show that actually
00:51:00the person who's committed
00:51:01these horrific offences
00:51:03wants to be known,
00:51:04wants to be out there,
00:51:05wants
00:51:05notoriety
00:51:07for
00:51:07the horrific things
00:51:08that he's done.
00:51:09He has got
00:51:34lots
00:51:35of
00:51:35photos
00:51:36of the devils.
00:51:38They've said that
00:51:38there's indeed
00:51:39the ones that need
00:51:39to be graded.
00:51:40I didn't see them.
00:51:42Like,
00:51:42they were scrolling
00:51:42through pages
00:51:43of photos
00:51:44and I was like,
00:51:45and he's obsessed
00:51:46with Clementine,
00:51:47which is the little girl
00:51:48in the Walking Dead films
00:51:50and Walking Dead game
00:51:51that he likes.
00:51:52Right.
00:51:53Instead,
00:51:54in that thing
00:51:54that he says
00:51:55to hurt Clementine
00:51:56in the films
00:51:56and he's going to
00:51:57look like that face.
00:51:59Right.
00:52:00Let's have a look
00:52:01at that finger.
00:52:03Ooh.
00:52:04It hurt.
00:52:05Let's see
00:52:06if we can do
00:52:06something about it.
00:52:09Yeah.
00:52:10Let's get this
00:52:11cut covered up.
00:52:12Yes, please.
00:52:17She's the cutest
00:52:18thing ever.
00:52:19Oh, gosh.
00:52:21I love her already.
00:52:22And for that,
00:52:24her face will be
00:52:25mutilated further
00:52:26than necessary.
00:52:27Detectives
00:52:28have discovered
00:52:29a Facebook video
00:52:30recorded by
00:52:30their triple
00:52:31murder suspect
00:52:32time to upload
00:52:33to the Internet
00:52:34after the killings
00:52:36took place.
00:52:38The video reveals
00:52:39an obsession
00:52:40with a character
00:52:41from a well-known
00:52:41video game,
00:52:43Clementine.
00:52:45I am the chosen one,
00:52:48chosen by Clementine.
00:52:50There will be
00:52:51no more
00:52:53killings of Larry's
00:52:55in front of Clementine,
00:52:56no more killings
00:52:57of St. John's
00:52:57in front of Clementine.
00:52:59So we're just
00:53:10about to meet
00:53:10Clementine now.
00:53:11This particular
00:53:21kind of game
00:53:22puts you
00:53:22in a position
00:53:23where you're
00:53:24making
00:53:24moral decisions.
00:53:27There aren't
00:53:28necessarily right
00:53:28or wrong choices.
00:53:30You are
00:53:31coaxed into
00:53:32behaving
00:53:32almost as if
00:53:34you're there.
00:53:35So you can
00:53:35behave as a good
00:53:36person or you can
00:53:37behave as an
00:53:37arsehole.
00:53:38There are
00:53:41points where
00:53:41you can
00:53:42actually
00:53:42traumatize
00:53:43Clementine
00:53:44by doing
00:53:45bad things
00:53:45in front of
00:53:46her.
00:53:49Oh no.
00:53:52Clementine
00:53:52will remember
00:53:52that I didn't
00:53:53save her.
00:53:58Larry is
00:53:59probably the
00:54:00main antagonist
00:54:01of the series.
00:54:03A deliberately
00:54:03abrasive personality.
00:54:05There's another
00:54:06character called
00:54:07St. John.
00:54:07St. John is
00:54:09not a good
00:54:10person.
00:54:11St. John is
00:54:11a cannibal.
00:54:13And as the
00:54:14player you're
00:54:14presented with
00:54:15the choice
00:54:15whether to
00:54:16kill St. John
00:54:18or not.
00:54:21There is like
00:54:22a popular
00:54:23meme
00:54:24that comes
00:54:26from the
00:54:27gameplay
00:54:27and it comes
00:54:28from the fact
00:54:29that characters
00:54:30remember your
00:54:31decisions.
00:54:32Clementine
00:54:33will remember
00:54:33that.
00:54:37this is my
00:54:47first experience
00:54:48of an
00:54:48investigation
00:54:49where we
00:54:50think video
00:54:51games have
00:54:51potentially
00:54:52played a role
00:54:53in what someone's
00:54:53subsequently
00:54:54gone to do.
00:54:56Isolating themselves
00:54:57playing these games
00:54:57the vast majority
00:54:58of people are
00:54:59able to draw
00:55:00that line
00:55:00between reality
00:55:01and fantasy.
00:55:02it's only
00:55:03on a rare
00:55:04occasion that
00:55:05anyone will
00:55:05take it to such
00:55:06lengths that
00:55:07actually it does
00:55:08affect them
00:55:08as people.
00:55:09Have you heard of
00:55:38toxic behaviour
00:55:40in games?
00:55:46Well in
00:55:47Brawl Stars
00:55:47there's an
00:55:48emote
00:55:48which is
00:55:49the thumbs
00:55:50down
00:55:51so when
00:55:53you kill
00:55:53someone
00:55:54you do
00:55:55a thumbs
00:55:55down
00:55:55and it
00:55:56basically
00:55:56lets them
00:55:57know
00:55:57that
00:55:58hey
00:55:58I think
00:55:59you suck
00:56:00at the
00:56:00game
00:56:00I like
00:56:01doing that
00:56:02I like
00:56:03doing that
00:56:04a lot
00:56:04but I
00:56:05just like
00:56:06being toxic
00:56:06in the
00:56:07games
00:56:07You seem
00:56:09quite
00:56:10good at
00:56:11working
00:56:12with computers
00:56:12I was
00:56:14born in
00:56:14Gen Z
00:56:14I grew
00:56:20up around
00:56:21computers
00:56:21so
00:56:22as with
00:56:24everyone
00:56:24in this
00:56:25generation
00:56:26my generation
00:56:27in Gen Z
00:56:27I should
00:56:28be pretty
00:56:29okay
00:56:29with computers
00:56:30Gen Alpha
00:56:31should be
00:56:31even better
00:56:32maybe just
00:56:34a bit
00:56:34more
00:56:34crazy
00:56:35in the
00:56:36edge
00:56:36digital
00:56:56analysts
00:56:57delve deeper
00:56:58into the
00:56:58contents
00:56:59of their
00:56:59suspects
00:57:00phones
00:57:00so

00:57:08he's

00:57:10I don't
00:57:12know how
00:57:12they've
00:57:13met
00:57:14or how
00:57:14he's
00:57:15even
00:57:15got
00:57:15his
00:57:15contact
00:57:15I
00:57:16think
00:57:16it's
00:57:16probably
00:57:17on a
00:57:17site
00:57:18and it's
00:57:18been
00:57:18taken

00:59:24it's
00:59:25you know
00:59:31these
00:59:32gore
00:59:32sites
00:59:32I've been
00:59:33saying
00:59:33he's been
00:59:33looking at
00:59:34I've done a little bit more work around those
00:59:37and I've looked at the usernames that he's set up and the email addresses
00:59:41and he's actually got them in the names of serial killers and
00:59:45mass school shooters
00:59:46what's also been bothering me I think there's a pattern here and call me crazy
00:59:51but he had 100 cartridges he had 35 on him when he was arrested so why didn't
01:00:00he take 100 cartridges the Virginia Tech University massacre in America
01:00:07in April 2007 killed 33 people including the shooter that is the highest death toll
01:00:18in America for a school spree shooting ever so the thing I was trying to work out
01:00:26is is that 35 cartridges significant yeah basically it's not random that he had that
01:00:35amount of cartridges no I don't think it's I don't think it's random at all he's
01:00:39chosen that number for a reason because killing if all 35 of those cartridges
01:00:47take a victim plus his family that would bring the total number to 38
01:00:58which is more than the deadliest American mass shooting
01:01:03and more than twice as high as the highest death count in the UK
01:01:08the offender was a local Newtonian whose intention was to kill local people have you sold a shotgun
