00:00Krishna, any number of women loved him and he would respond.

00:04And if you look at the way he responded, he was still untouched.

00:07He never turned them away.

00:08If you get into the myth, he sang, he danced, he enjoyed, he frolicked.

00:13That suits the flavor of the Gita.

00:15Because if the Gita's philosophy is to be lived,

00:19then you cannot have someone who detests or turns away women.

00:23No, that kind of person then cannot be the author of the Gita.

00:28That kind of person cannot even be someone who understands the Gita.

00:32Someone who says, I will never take the throne.

00:35And someone who says, I will never touch the woman.

00:38You say, oh, great, great, great, what great.

00:41And Krishna is a huge renunciate.

00:43What do we want to say?

00:44The author of the Gita does not know renunciation.

00:47The one who is talking so prolifically about karma sanyasa does not know sanyasa.

00:54Obviously he does.

00:55And he is a great sanyasi himself.

00:57But it behoves him, the golden crown, that beautiful flute,

01:02and the peacock feather, and his smile, and all those things.

01:05Those things can come only with real renunciation.
