00:00Spirituality has never been for the masses, believe me, never.

00:04In fact, Indian scriptures very strictly say that if you are not yet ready and you still approach us,

00:12then you will meet harm.

00:13And how to test whether you are ready?

00:15There are many guidelines given in many forms.

00:18But the one that I like the most is the Sadhan Chatushtay.

00:22The first thing that is needed is Vivek.

00:24Do you have discretion, Vivek?

00:25The second thing that is needed is Vairagya.

00:27Are you totally fed up of the world or not?

00:30The third thing that is needed is the Shad Sampat, the six qualities.

00:33And then finally and most importantly, you need Mumuksha.

00:37Do you have a burning desire for liberation, Mumuksha?

00:41And I come across this thing so often.

00:43People coming and saying we have turned spiritual,

00:46but that is making us all dry and that is leaving us totally dissatisfied.

00:50And then I ask them, who asked you to go spiritual?

00:52First of all, you go out and have fun in the world.

00:55And when you get beaten up soundly, if you do,

00:57then come back and try the spiritual path.
