00:13Hey guys, it's Devontae for Hollywood Life and Cardi B recently spoke to Howard Stern

00:18and elaborated on her upbringing. I'm sure Day One fans know her backstory,

00:22but for those of you that aren't hip, here's the Cliff Notes version.

00:25Cardi reveals she used to be a cashier at a supermarket and was making

00:28only $300 a week. Cardi was basically forced to live with her ex-boyfriend she had issues with

00:34and his mom because the rent was too damn high. $300 gets you a gallon of milk and a few MetroCard

00:42swipes. Anyway, Cardi reveals it was her boss who kept convincing her to become a stripper and she

00:47was reluctant at first, fearing what her parents would think until she was making enough cash.

00:52Cardi also reveals she ended up lying to her parents about how she was suddenly making so much money

00:58and her excuse was she was babysitting for rich people. That makes sense.

01:01I kind of want to see Cardi as Mary Poppins now for some reason. Call it Mary Boppins,

01:06give her a Birkin bag filled with cash and some twerking cartoon penguins and we're all cash money,

01:12baby. Great example of a horrible idea. But alright, Cardi B also went on Instagram live

01:18over the weekend to clear some things up.

01:53she's a little heartbroken she won't be able to spend New Year's Eve with him while she's in Australia.

01:57In a way, she's glad he's far away and has to think about what he's done to their relationship.

02:36seen closing in on Cardi, saying comments like, quote, you're in Australia now, you're playing

02:41by our rules. Let's be clear on that. Why the blanket Cardi? Having an identity crisis or something?

02:46Give us a picture. Apparently in some Australian headlines, she's accused of having a diva tantrum

02:52for simply refusing to show her face and interacting with people who are basically trying to provoke her.

02:57Cardi also addressed the whole ordeal on Instagram and clapped back at her haters.

03:05going to heavy drugs, heavy depressions, committing suicide, wanting to die. And I used to think to
