00:00There was one day I came in and I noticed there was a bump on my right temple and I remember
00:08going to my mom and showing her and I remember she was very confused. She was like, did you get
00:13hit by like a ball? Like, were you playing soccer with your friends or something? That was the first
00:18sign something was happening.
00:30Thankfully, there was a fellow doctor in that room who afterwards came to us and was like,
00:37hey, if it gives you comfort, I can do a biopsy. And we took that opportunity and that's how
00:44we found out it came back cancerous.
00:57That was probably one of the hardest days throughout my cancer journey, hearing that.
01:19Fashion has always been something I've loved, even when I was little or even going through
01:23like treatment when I was little, just wearing like a big bow or something sparkly, like always
01:30just brought some joy and happiness.
01:32The platform has just like given me a space to just share. I think it's in my bio even,
01:47just share about all the things I love, like, um, just stuff that brings me joy and that I
01:54hope, hope brings other people joy.
01:56I remember taking it and being like, we can make something out of this. And since I had
02:06sewing experience, I was like, I want to make my own bandanas that are special to me.
02:11I remember going straight to the store and getting an embroidery machine. That's where
02:16I like came up with Nell's ribbon. So I think this was the first one I made. Um, and I just
02:23wrote that and I feel like wearing this, it brings me just a lot of comfort and love and
02:30confidence and strength in my story.
02:32I hope through my platform, I'm able to spread a lot of things. Um, of course, awareness to cancer
02:45and cancer survivors and fighters. I think my main thing is just to remind us through my cancer
02:53story that we're all a little different and that's what makes us beautiful.
