For any Ring Video Doorbell or Security Camera owner, a dedicated Ring Chime is the essential partner that ensures you never miss an alert inside your home. While smartphone notifications are useful, a physical chime provides a reliable, audible ring, especially when your phone is silent, charging, or in another room.
The Ring ecosystem offers two main options: the Standard Ring Chime (3rd Gen) and the Ring Chime Pro.

The Standard Ring Chime is an excellent and budget-friendly choice for most users. It simply plugs into a standard wall outlet, connects easily to your Wi-Fi, and delivers loud, clear audio notifications for both doorbell presses and motion detection. The 3rd Generation model boasts enhanced audio quality and a modern, sleek design.
The real upgrade, however, is the Ring Chime Pro. While it performs the same function as the standard Chime, it adds two significant features:
1 - Wi-Fi Extender: The Chime Pro acts as a dedicated Wi-Fi repeater for your Ring devices, boosting the signal to doorbells or cameras that are far from your main router. This is crucial for improved video quality and reduced connection delays.

2 - Built-in Nightlight: It includes a subtle, built-in nightlight, adding a handy utility feature to the device.
Verdict: The Standard Ring Chime (3rd Gen) is the best option for those who simply need a reliable, loud indoor alert. However, if you experience Wi-Fi signal weakness at your doorbell's location, the Ring Chime Pro is highly recommended. The Wi-Fi extension feature makes it an invaluable addition for creating a more robust and responsive Ring security system.

00:00Alright, so here I have my Ring Chime and I'm going to do a quick review on this.
00:04I'm going to tell you everything that you should know before buying it and if I think it's worth it.
00:08So the reason I got this is because I have the Ring Doorbell, of course,
00:11and I thought some of its features were pretty cool, so I decided to get it and I'm glad I did.
00:15So I'm going to show you about some of the features real quick.
00:18So what this does is whenever you get motion at your front door or if somebody rings your doorbell,
00:24this will chime and let you know.
00:27So I'll ring my front door real quick and show you what it sounds like whenever somebody rings my doorbell.
00:34So it does a little ding-dong sound and then does the ring sound.
00:38So if you're somewhere in your house or whatever and you don't have your phone near you,
00:42you'll still be able to know that somebody's at your door.
00:44And what's cool is that you can also change the sounds and you've got a couple of different settings here.
00:49You've got the snooze, you've got the device health, you've got the audio settings and the general settings,
00:52chime alert, so you can choose when you want it to chime.
00:55I currently have it for whenever somebody rings my doorbell and for whenever I get motion detected.
01:00But if you only want it to be whenever somebody rings your doorbell, you can turn that off.
01:04Or if you only wanted it to be whenever you got motion detected, you could do it like that.
01:08But here's the fun parts.
01:09So the tones, so you've got the doorbell ring tone and the motion detected tone.
01:14Let's go with these doorbell ring ones.
01:15So there's all these different types of notification sounds that you can use.
01:19Some of them are pretty fun.
01:20They have like seasonal ones.
01:22You can see these Christmas ones.
01:24Festive Ding Dong
01:25Holiday Jingle
01:28That's sick.
01:31So when somebody rings your doorbell, you could make it sound like this.
01:35Thursday Night Football
01:36Oh yeah, that's what I'm talking about.
01:40Jingle Bells
01:41All right, we'll just keep it default for now.
01:46You can also change the volume.
01:47And then you can, of course, change the notification sounds for whenever you get motion detected.
01:51Got the same options.
01:53That's just the default one.
01:54But yeah, if you don't have a ring chime, I think it's a great accessory.
01:58Pretty much a must have if you have a ring doorbell.
02:00It's super cool.
02:01It works great.
02:02Super customizable.
02:03Super fun.
02:04And it lets you know if somebody's at your door.
02:06So yeah, if you have a ring doorbell, I think this is a great accessory to have.
02:10And I would definitely recommend it.
