00:00Please welcome your host, Fleur East.
00:30Hello and welcome to your Monday edition of It Takes Two, live on BBC Two and iPlayer.
00:36Wow, Saturday night was pure theatre as our remaining celebs took centre stage,
00:41hoping to impress the judges with five-star performances in musicals week.
00:45We witnessed names in light, show-stopping numbers and the shocking final act plot twist
00:50as one couple struggled to impress the critics.
00:53Now with only four couples called back for the semi-final, it's all to play for.
00:57So let's keep this interval short and sweet and see what's coming up on tonight's show.
01:04Despite giving it their all on Saturday night with a fiery salsa,
01:07the curtain sadly came down on Lewis and Katya's Strictly journey.
01:11We'll be talking to them later about their performance
01:13and what it's like to jet out just shy of the final.
01:17Plus, it's the final week of the Pro Challenge.
01:20We'll be joined by two more pros to see if they've whisked past the competition
01:23and shaken their way to the top of the leaderboard.
01:26And she's back to give us her honest reviews of Saturday night's performances.
01:31It's Joanne Clifton!
01:36Plus, don't forget we love hearing from you.
01:38So if you're wondering what Lewis and Katya will miss the most about one another,
01:42then you can WhatsApp them on our number 0800 0223801
01:46or just scan the QR code on your screen.
01:49But first, he's back!
01:53And this time the man in red has left us a very special gift.
01:58Yes.
01:58Inside this box lies the sweet sound of all the songs
02:01our Strictly Christmas celebrity couples will be dancing to.
02:05And we simply cannot wait until the 25th to open it.
02:08So let's start by officially announcing and unwrapping the festive fun.
02:11First up, TV presenter Scarlett Muffet partnered with Vito
02:15will be swapping the North East for the North Pole
02:18and slaying her way onto our screens with a cha-cha-cha to this.
02:23DJ play a Christmas song!
02:28Next up on Santa's set list is Melanie Blatt and Kai.
02:31From All Saints to All Things Festive,
02:34they'll be floating into an American smooth to this.
02:37Santa baby, slip a sable under the tree, call me...
02:42And from Gladiators to Glitterballs,
02:44Jodie Ownsley and partner Neil are up next.
02:47They'll be dropping a street-style routine
02:49as fresh as Christmas morning to this.
02:51But I'm here, making it clear,
02:54gonna be a red, red, red Christmas this year.
02:57Up next, bringing the Christmas cheer and the punchlines
03:00is comedian Babatunde Aleshay and Nancy.
03:03Their Charleston is set to be full of cheer and chuckles,
03:06all to a version of this.
03:07You better watch out...
03:09Santa Claus, it's coming to town.
03:11You better not pout, I am coming to town.
03:14Next, under the mistletoe spotlight,
03:16dancing with Luba, it's Nicholas Bailey.
03:18He's leaving Albert Square behind
03:19for a Viennese Waltz performed to this.
03:22It's the most wonderful time of year.
03:23It's the most wonderful time of year.
03:28And finally, we're flying without wings into Christmas
03:31with Brian McFadden and partner Michelle.
03:34They'll be jiving along on Christmas Day to this.
03:38Ooh, run, Rudolph, run.
03:43Wow, what a playlist.
03:44We're so excited to watch our celebs glitter, glide and jingle
03:47all the way through Christmas Day on BBC One at 5.30.
03:51Cheers, Santa.
03:53You've really delivered.
03:54Ho, ho, ho, ho.
03:56Now, when I think whisk, I picture baking.
03:59Cakes, cookies, meringues.
04:01But our pros aren't after that kind of sugar tonight.
04:03Oh, no.
04:04The only whisks on their minds are the samba kind.
04:06And we've got two more professionals in the house
04:08ready for an even sweeter reward.
04:11But before we see how they've done,
04:12here's Shirley to remind us of that step.
04:15Oh, my cake's ready.
04:17The Strictly Pro Challenge is back.
04:21Our professional dancers are attempting
04:24to set a world record for the most samba whisks
04:29performed in 30 seconds.
04:32The whisk must step to the side, cross behind, and replace.
04:38No mistakes sneak past me.
04:42It's never too early for a disqualification from Shirley.
04:47Oh, this whole time.
04:48Only one pro can be victorious.
04:54Welcome to the Strictly Pro Challenge 2025.
05:01Thanks, Shirley.
05:02First up, this Brummie-born dancer
05:04was crowned under-21 British national champion,
05:07and she's hoping she's done more than Oakley-Dokley this year.
05:11Joining her is two-time world and European champion,
05:14who's definitely Nad here to mess about.
05:16Give it up for Lauren and Nadia.
05:27Yes.
05:32Welcome, ladies.
05:34You've both taken the Pro Challenge title home at least once.
05:38Lauren, your one and only win was in 2023
05:40with a pendulum step, a classic ballroom move.
05:43So when you heard it was a Latin step, how confident were you?
05:47At the point when we get asked to do the Pro Challenge,
05:49I don't really consider whether it's boring or Latin.
05:52I just think, I've got to do this and I've got to do it quickly.
05:55Yes.
05:55I like it.
05:56I can feel the competitiveness coming off you.
05:58I think it's nerves.
05:59Yes.
06:00And Nadia, you already hold two Pro Challenge records,
06:03most Fleckles in 2020, most Pater Cakes in 2021.
06:07Yes.
06:07What would it mean to hold a third?
06:09Oh, it would be fun, no?
06:10What is better than two?
06:11Three?
06:12Exactly.
06:13Yeah.
06:13Let's take a look at the current leaderboard.
06:14Let's see where we're at.
06:16Oh, Amy and Yavita at the top there.
06:19Girl power.
06:20Yes.
06:20Yes.
06:20Exactly.
06:21Let's see how you guys got on.
06:23Lauren, we'll start with you.
06:25I have been whisking my way through life since I was four years old.
06:31I don't know how well or how quickly.
06:33So I honestly have no idea how it's going to go,
06:36but I'm really going to try my best.
06:38Come on, Lauren, you got this.
06:42Hello, hello.
06:43Hello, Miss Lauren.
06:44Tell me how you're feeling.
06:46You do look a little bit nervous.
06:47I am nervous.
06:48Well, in 2023, you were a world record holder.
06:52And the following year, Kai took your crown.
06:56How did you feel about that?
06:58Honestly, I was fuming that he took my crown.
07:00Were you?
07:00Yeah.
07:01I wanted to do it two years in a row.
07:02Well, we're wishing you the very, very best, Lauren.
07:05Please take centre stage.
07:07OK.
07:09This is an official attempt.
07:11In three, two, one, go.
07:20You're doing well there.
07:21How's those legs feeling?
07:23Good.
07:23They're good.
07:24Keep it going.
07:25I'm trying to hear the sound of my heels on the floor
07:27to make sure I get the balls black.
07:28This could be a good idea.
07:30This could be a good idea.
07:3115 seconds.
07:32Halfway.
07:32Halfway.
07:35You're doing good, Lauren.
07:36Getting them smaller, so I can get quicker.
07:39I like that.
07:40Five, four...
07:42Here it comes.
07:42...three, two, one, go.
07:47Lauren!
07:49Well done, you.
07:51Tell me, Lauren, how are you feeling?
07:54I'm feeling OK.
07:55My heart's pounding a little bit,
07:57but I think my technique was all right
07:59and I could hear my heels on the floor.
08:01Well, that's always a good sign, isn't it?
08:02I think so.
08:03From where I'm sitting, that looked pretty good, Miss Lauren.
08:06Thank you so much.
08:07Thank you for having me.
08:11I'm feeling pleasantly surprised.
08:13It was a lot easier to get the ball flat of the toe
08:16than I thought it would be.
08:17I think I stand a good chance.
08:20It was actually just a whisk in the park.
08:22Oh, yes!
08:26Lauren, you went smaller and quicker
08:28with your technique listening out for the heel.
08:30Yeah.
08:30Why did you decide that was the best option?
08:33Well, listen, when we have a celebrity,
08:34we always say if you want to go quicker,
08:36make the step smaller.
08:38I wanted to practice what I preach.
08:39OK.
08:40So, the smaller the step, the quicker you can be.
08:43All right.
08:43My favourite is my hands.
08:44Yeah, the hands are amazing.
08:45My hands.
08:46If only they count.
08:48Let's find out how many steps you got, Lauren.
08:51After each of the professionals made their attempt,
08:53the footage was watched back by adjudicators
08:55in slow motion to verify every single step
08:57to make sure they were accurate.
08:59Lauren, I can reveal that in 30 seconds, you completed.
09:1140 steps.
09:12Yes!
09:13That's amazing.
09:14This will put you top of the leaderboard,
09:17unless there are any disqualifications.
09:19We'll see.
09:19We'll see.
09:20All right, before we find out
09:21how many disqualifications you got,
09:23let's see how your fellow pro, Nadia, got on.
09:29I've already got two world records.
09:32What is better than two?
09:34Three.
09:36I always have a game plan.
09:38And I'm ready.
09:42Hello, Miss Nadia.
09:43Hello.
09:43How are you?
09:44I'm very well.
09:45I warmed up.
09:46I did all the push-ups.
09:47Not sure they'll help.
09:48I'm sure that you want to be at the top
09:50of that leaderboard again, right?
09:51Of course.
09:51Absolutely.
09:52That's why we're doing it.
09:54And are you excited to do this whisk?
09:55I am.
09:56But please, Shirley,
09:57don't judge me on samba technique.
09:59Just the right footwork.
10:01Please take centre stage, gorgeous lady,
10:03and show us the samba whisk.
10:06This is an official attempt in three, two, one, go.
10:15Wow, she's really going for speed there.
10:17You go, girl.
10:22That's very fast, isn't it?
10:26Fifteen seconds.
10:28Keep it going.
10:29Halfway.
10:31Past halfway.
10:32Those legs will be going in a minute.
10:34Five, four, three, two, one, go.
10:42Did you enjoy that?
10:46I tried.
10:47I was looking down.
10:48I was making sure the heels are down.
10:51I almost stopped on my toes, but loved it.
10:54It really helps with the fitness, don't you think?
10:57It really does.
10:57Well, we're very excited to see where you finish
11:00on the leaderboard with your version of our samba whisk.
11:03Thank you very much.
11:04Fingers crossed.
11:08I'm feeling like I'm hardly breathing
11:09and my thighs are burning.
11:11I gave everything I had
11:13and I used my variation
11:15of getting as many whisks as possible.
11:18I need that third world record, guys.
11:21Come on.
11:23Let's go.
11:24Yes.
11:25I need it.
11:26Come on.
11:26Now, Nadia, you told Shirley
11:28not to judge your samba technique.
11:30There was no samba in there.
11:32Like she said, it was your version of the samba whisk.
11:34Absolutely.
11:34Why did you decide to take that approach?
11:36Well, I was looking for the fastest way
11:39of executing a version of samba whisk
11:42to get the Guinness record.
11:43So the important was
11:45is to put the heel on and off the floor.
11:47I was listening to the sound as well.
11:49And that was, I don't know,
11:51from the days I was practicing the samba whisk,
11:54not for 30 years of my life,
11:56but just for the Guinness record.
11:58That kind of felt like the quickest way of doing it.
12:02I loved my arms.
12:03And my arms like this.
12:04There's so many variations.
12:06Well, shall we see how you've done?
12:08Yes.
12:09Nadia, I can reveal
12:10that in 30 seconds,
12:11you completed.
12:1254 steps.
12:24So that means you could be
12:26at the top of the leaderboard.
12:28However,
12:28there is the small matter of disqualifications.
12:31It could be either one of you.
12:32Let's see how many steps
12:34you both ended up with
12:35after disqualifications.
12:36Oh, gosh.
12:37And find out whether
12:38that was a risky technique, Nadia.
12:40Well, I can reveal
12:42that the pro challenge leaderboard now
12:44looks like this.
12:49Oh!
12:51Amazing.
12:51What?
12:52Which means, Lauren,
12:53even though you've got zero disqualifications,
12:56Nadia, you only got one,
12:57which puts you at the top of the leaderboard.
12:59Yeah!
13:00Congratulations!
13:02It was a risky technique,
13:03but indeed,
13:04Shirley may have had a few reservations
13:05about the transference of weight,
13:07but the adjudicators acknowledge
13:08that you did hit the Guinness guidelines
13:10of Flatball Flats.
13:13Who do you think
13:14is Nadia's biggest competition?
13:16We've got Nikita, Neil, and Kai left.
13:18I would like it to be Neil
13:20because he's always the bridesmaid,
13:22never the bride.
13:23He's always second,
13:24so I'd really like him
13:25to get it this year.
13:26And I think he was really,
13:27like, preparing for this.
13:29He was going...
13:30That was the...
13:30Yeah.
13:31He's also not stopped
13:32talking about it since.
13:33Oh, no.
13:34OK.
13:35Well, let's hear it
13:36for Lauren and Nadia.
13:37Now, there is only one person
13:42who can compare
13:43an exquisite, elegant ballroom move
13:45to a tuna sandwich
13:46so effortlessly.
13:47Here to chat more heel leads
13:49and meal deals,
13:49it's, of course,
13:50Joanne Clifton
13:51in Choreography Corner.
13:52CHEERING AND APPLAUSE
13:53What an incredible weekend.
14:13What did you make of it?
14:14Oh, my gosh.
14:14I know we say it every year,
14:16but they've upped their game again.
14:18This is possibly the best year ever.
14:20It was sensational.
14:21OK, let's get straight into
14:22Saturday Night's Dances.
14:23Karen and Carlos and the Samba.
14:25Motsi praised Karen's attack
14:27and conviction
14:27and she picked up
14:28on multiple rhythm changes
14:30and the difficulty
14:30going from a spin
14:31into a promenade run.
14:33What made this so impressive?
14:34Well, if we have a look
14:35at the clip,
14:36it's coming up in a second
14:37and she does kind of
14:38three slow turns.
14:39Here it is.
14:40One, two, three.
14:41And then really, really fast.
14:42Quick and quicker, quicker.
14:42And then into one, two, three.
14:44One, two, three.
14:45Yes.
14:46OK, and that one, two, three
14:47is a really basic Samba rhythm.
14:50One of the 11,
14:51which I shall show you
14:52on my board.
14:53Very nice.
14:54We have 11
14:55basic Samba rhythms.
14:58Now, for you guys at home,
14:59I suggest that you rewind
15:00and pause on here
15:01if you're interested in it
15:02because there's some examples
15:03of what steps you can do
15:04with these rhythms.
15:06And, yeah, you can see.
15:07So the one she did here
15:08is the one, two, three,
15:10which actually has to be
15:11slow and controlled.
15:11So she went from slow
15:13to really, really syncopated
15:14and fast into this basic one.
15:16And she did that a lot.
15:18And you will recognise
15:19a lot of these
15:19in her routine,
15:20which was fantastic.
15:22Could she have used
15:22a little bit more movement
15:24in her upper body?
15:26Yes.
15:27I feel like she could use it
15:28like as if there's like
15:29eels slipping over each other
15:31in the top of her body as well.
15:33We're taking it under the sea.
15:35OK, on to Balvinda and Julian
15:36and the Viennese Waltz.
15:37Now, Anton, Shirley and Moxie
15:39all loved its sensitivity,
15:40grace and charm.
15:42And Anton loved the way
15:43she swept across the floor
15:44with enormous shift.
15:45What did he mean
15:46and how did that
15:46help the performance?
15:48Well, basically,
15:48they're meaning how
15:49in the basic movements here,
15:51she's moving across the floor,
15:53striding with those legs.
15:55And basically,
15:56what she was doing really well,
15:57I don't know whether
15:58they have said it in this depth,
15:59but it was the coordination
16:00between the body weight
16:02and the moving foot
16:03in the driving steps.
16:05OK, so basically,
16:06there's five actions
16:07that we do.
16:08So it's actually quite complicated.
16:09You lower,
16:09you take your body weight forward,
16:11you take your moving leg forward
16:13to centre balance,
16:14you push off the back
16:15and then you recover.
16:16And that keeps your body weight
16:18moving and flying
16:19across the floor.
16:20They managed to do that together
16:22in harmony
16:23and they managed to fly.
16:24She was like moving around
16:26quite a lot,
16:27which was great.
16:28She didn't do quite
16:29the fleckle footwork properly.
16:32It started off great
16:33and then she started running around,
16:35just running around like that,
16:36which is called a standing spin,
16:38not a fleckle.
16:39But it was another great dance.
16:40All right,
16:40on to Amber and Nikita
16:41and the Charleston.
16:43The second week in a row,
16:44Amber and Nikita
16:44have secured a perfect score.
16:46What did you enjoy
16:47the most about this routine?
16:49Do you know what?
16:49Of course,
16:50the character
16:50and the storytelling
16:51was,
16:52it was great.
16:53I mean,
16:53these lifts were incredible,
16:54but the storytelling
16:56was of course great,
16:57but it was at the right level.
16:58And what I mean by that
16:59is like,
17:00there was little details
17:01like when Nikita
17:03kind of stepped forward
17:03and she pretended
17:04she wasn't expecting it.
17:05So she was,
17:06she just did it
17:06a little bit after
17:07and it was just quite subtle,
17:09but still great.
17:10The lifts were great.
17:11The angles
17:12that they were all at
17:14that were together
17:15with not just Nikita,
17:16but with the,
17:17with the backing dancers
17:18as well.
17:18And do you know what?
17:19I think we should do
17:20a bit of her routine
17:21in demo time.
17:22Yes.
17:24Let's do it.
17:25Yeah,
17:26we're not even going to
17:26talk about technique.
17:27We're going to do
17:28a bit of her routine.
17:29Don't worry,
17:30it's not going to be
17:30them lifts.
17:31Okay.
17:31Right.
17:32So we're going to take,
17:33take your outside leg
17:34like I used to tell
17:34Scott Mills
17:35because you couldn't
17:35tell left from right.
17:36So we're going to
17:37kick forward,
17:38kick,
17:38then in,
17:40then out
17:41and step back.
17:43Then we're going to
17:43do a rock backwards,
17:45rock and step forward,
17:47put your arms up.
17:48Step.
17:49Now we're going to go,
17:50you're going to go
17:50that way,
17:51I'm going to go this way.
17:52Side, close, side.
17:53Side, close, side
17:55and spin in
17:56towards each other.
17:56One, two, three
17:58and shimmy round.
17:59Yay!
18:00Oh, that was fun.
18:03And there is a bit
18:03of Amber's routine
18:04for you to try at home.
18:05So much fun.
18:06On to George and Alexis
18:07and the Argentine tango.
18:08Now the judges praised them
18:09and Craig thought
18:10George handled
18:11the difficult music well
18:12but felt the footwork
18:13was a little untidy
18:14and that he was
18:15shuffling into lifts
18:16to gain purchase.
18:17Was this an issue for you?
18:19Not so much.
18:20I mean,
18:20if we look at the clip,
18:21this is the slow lifts.
18:23In the slow lifts,
18:24he was very grounded,
18:25planted.
18:26He wasn't shuffling
18:26into them at all.
18:27When the music
18:28did get faster,
18:29you could see
18:31that he was doing
18:31more steps, right?
18:33He was doing more steps
18:34because it was
18:34faster music,
18:35faster lifts.
18:36And in the Argentine tango,
18:38it's not like
18:38the other dances
18:39where you need to use
18:40your heels and toes
18:41for rise and fall
18:41and things like that.
18:42It's more like
18:43a walking action.
18:43It's very, very natural
18:45and he had more of those
18:46than in the slow bits.
18:47So maybe Craig thought
18:48that was shuffling.
18:50Maybe.
18:50We could have had
18:51more A-frame.
18:51Yes, I agree with that.
18:52I feel like he was
18:53projecting more like
18:54a pasodo blade
18:55than the chest over.
18:57But the partnering,
18:58I just wanted to say
18:58to those at home
18:59what the partnering is
19:00when they keep talking about it.
19:01It's not just the trust
19:02of the lifts
19:03and catching her
19:04at the right time
19:04or whatever.
19:05It's actually using
19:06their contact points,
19:07the two hands here,
19:08especially in the Argentine tango.
19:10You can move your hands
19:12like this to lead
19:13along with body weight
19:14and just feel her balance
19:16the whole time
19:17and counterbalance it
19:18so that they're both
19:19on balance all the time.
19:20And I think he's
19:21absolutely brilliant at that.
19:23I love it.
19:23Thank you so much, Jo.
19:25Let's hear it for Joanne Clifton.
19:30Now, just like any musical,
19:32there's a final number
19:32and sadly for Lewis and Katia,
19:34their West Side Story,
19:35Salsa,
19:35became their last performance.
19:37And when that Jet
19:38versus Sharks showdown
19:39became all too real,
19:40there was no encore
19:41waiting in the wings.
19:43Here's a reminder
19:43of their performance.
19:44You pushed it physically.
19:51There was so much content
19:53in this dance
19:54and you were always
19:55the star within the dance.
19:58It wasn't your best dance for me.
20:00There was missed connections
20:01on all these hustle things,
20:02but still there was
20:03a lot to like.
20:05The musical theatre stuff
20:06was strong.
20:07The partnering stuff,
20:08it needed to be
20:09a bit more subtle.
20:10But all in all,
20:11I'd rather liked it,
20:12I have to say.
20:12Give it up for Lewis
20:17and Katia, everybody.
20:19Lewis, you've given us
20:20so many incredible performances
20:22over the last 11 weeks.
20:24How have you been
20:24navigating your emotions
20:25since the shock
20:26at the weekend?
20:27You know,
20:28we're just trying to focus
20:29on the positives, really.
20:31You know,
20:31it's been an amazing
20:3211 weeks.
20:34And of course,
20:35it hurts.
20:35And it'll take a bit of time
20:37to get over.
20:38But yeah,
20:39I'm really proud
20:40of what we've done.
20:41So, yeah.
20:41You've absolutely smashed it.
20:43And Katia,
20:44your mantra was always
20:45more is more.
20:47And Lewis has absolutely
20:48smashed it,
20:49topping the leaderboard
20:49five times,
20:50earning two perfect scores.
20:52Looking back
20:52on your journey,
20:53how glad are you
20:54that you stuck
20:54to your mantra?
20:56Yes,
20:56I wouldn't do anything
20:58any differently.
21:00We stayed true
21:01to ourselves
21:01on each number.
21:03and, like I said,
21:04you know,
21:05a lot of my life
21:06I was told,
21:07less, Katia,
21:08less, stop,
21:09you know.
21:10But finally,
21:10I just needed
21:11the right dance partner
21:13to match that.
21:14Match your energy.
21:15And we, you know,
21:16we did say
21:17we're such a good team,
21:18weren't we?
21:19And we,
21:19every day,
21:20we said to ourselves
21:21at the very start
21:22of this
21:23that every day
21:24is going to be
21:24a positive day.
21:25It's going to be
21:26a yes room.
21:28And we really
21:29have stuck to that,
21:30haven't we?
21:30We said,
21:31we're going to bring
21:31only positive vibes
21:32to every Saturday.
21:34You know,
21:34every,
21:35my favourite part
21:36was always,
21:36every Saturday
21:37you text me
21:38six a.m.
21:40Morning, mush.
21:41Morning, mush.
21:42Let's do it.
21:43We've got this.
21:44And then I knew
21:45we've got it,
21:46you know,
21:46he's going to deliver
21:47and, yeah.
21:49Anyway,
21:49no,
21:50we better stop.
21:51But you know,
21:52Lewis,
21:52you mentioned
21:52that your family
21:53have been brought together
21:54every Saturday
21:55to watch Strictly.
21:56How have they reacted
21:56to the news?
21:57Yeah,
21:58I mean,
21:58they're gutted,
21:59but there's,
22:00there's so much to like
22:01about the whole thing
22:02and, you know,
22:03to have them
22:03four generations
22:05come together
22:06every Saturday
22:06and to,
22:07you know,
22:08open different
22:09conversations
22:10that they've never
22:11really had before
22:12and show different
22:12sides to them
22:13that I've never seen
22:14before as well
22:15has been,
22:16it's been really
22:17beautiful for me.
22:18Yeah.
22:18Well,
22:18there is someone
22:19who couldn't be
22:19prouder of everything
22:20you've accomplished
22:21and wanted to share
22:23a few words with you.
22:23No.
22:25Hello,
22:26Lewis and Katia.
22:28We are very proud
22:30of you.
22:30You have took us
22:31on some journey.
22:33Saturday night's
22:34not going to be
22:35the same.
22:36Look to both
22:37of you.
22:37Last artist
22:38in the Strictly bar.
22:41Oh,
22:42Man of Dark.
22:43So beautiful.
22:44Now,
22:45before we talk
22:45about your red light
22:46dance-off,
22:46let's talk about
22:47your West Side
22:48dance-off.
22:49What a performance.
22:50Dance at the gym
22:51was no lie.
22:51That was a proper
22:52workout.
22:53How did that routine
22:54compare to a session
22:55at the gym?
22:56Well,
22:56yeah,
22:57it was great.
22:58It was really fun
22:59to have all the
22:59extra dancers again.
23:01It was like
23:01going back to
23:02Blackpool.
23:03We had that
23:03sort of feel
23:04and that energy
23:05and they really
23:06do lift you up
23:07and, you know,
23:08thank you to all
23:09of them for that.
23:09But, yeah,
23:10it was a workout.
23:12Carrying two people
23:13on his shoulders.
23:14On his lift.
23:16The action-packed
23:16choreography.
23:17Right at the end.
23:18The extra dancers.
23:19But, Katia,
23:19Motsi still said
23:20that Lewis was the star.
23:22How proud are you
23:23that he really
23:23embodied that character?
23:24He did
23:25and,
23:27you know what?
23:28Looking back,
23:29obviously,
23:29like,
23:30I can't help
23:31but to think,
23:32oh,
23:33maybe I could have
23:33done things differently
23:35and to,
23:38you know,
23:39to make it work
23:40for him better
23:41and...
23:42He did everything
23:44perfect.
23:45But he can only do
23:45what I've asked him
23:47to do,
23:47you know,
23:48and whatever
23:49I've asked you to do,
23:50you didn't just do
23:51this time.
23:52every single day.
23:55And we were
23:56in a tough position,
23:57I feel like.
23:58We were expected
23:59to deliver
23:59these almost perfect
24:01show-stopping routines
24:02every single Saturday
24:04which you did.
24:06I don't know how
24:07but you did.
24:08Because of you.
24:09And,
24:10you know,
24:11that's,
24:12that's,
24:12it's tough
24:14but also,
24:14I'm really,
24:15really proud.
24:16We,
24:17we grafted.
24:19You did graft.
24:20It's been a hard,
24:21a hard three months
24:22actually.
24:22It paid off.
24:23We've seen so much
24:24from you,
24:25Lewis.
24:25Flips,
24:26splits,
24:26cartwheels,
24:27jumping through
24:27catty's legs,
24:28twice.
24:29Honestly,
24:30but behind all of that
24:31we saw some real
24:32heart and dedication
24:33that you brought
24:34to the floor.
24:35So now's the time
24:36to look at some
24:36of your best moments.
24:37Hopefully my acting
24:43can help me in the
24:44storytelling.
24:45But obviously I still
24:46need to remember the
24:46steps and everything
24:47else.
24:49There's energy
24:50like dynamite.
24:52I don't think you
24:53need all the highlights
24:54and tricks because I
24:54actually believe that
24:56you could be a
24:56fantastic dancer.
24:58I am loving the
25:00elegance of the
25:01Viennese waltz.
25:02I need to get the
25:03technique right.
25:04You're very talented.
25:06I want you to keep
25:07the power.
25:07I want you to keep
25:07the passion.
25:08But I need refinement.
25:12I don't know whether
25:13it's the spray tans
25:14or the glittery
25:15costumes, but all of
25:17a sudden I've just
25:18felt amazing.
25:20This was a much
25:21more controlled
25:22performance.
25:23Amazing!
25:27I couldn't believe
25:28me eyes.
25:30Saturday night was
25:31the best night of my
25:32life.
25:32I would love to
25:34be able to get that
25:35feeling again.
25:37That was beautiful.
25:40Your dance partner
25:41is the most important
25:43thing.
25:43Katia is
25:44outstanding.
25:48Oh, this is so
25:49on top.
25:51Come a little bit
25:52closer.
25:53The first person I
25:55called when I found
25:56out I was going to be
25:56doing Strictly was
25:58Nana Dot.
25:59I love her to pieces.
26:00I'm really, really
26:01proud of Louis.
26:03I'd like to do this
26:05dance for everyone in
26:06here.
26:07I just want to do
26:10them proud.
26:13This is one of those
26:14moments we're going to
26:15look in five, ten years
26:16and be like, oh,
26:17remember when Louis came
26:19and did that thing?
26:20That dance is as good
26:22as anything we've ever
26:24seen on any series.
26:27Craig got his ten
26:29paddle out for you.
26:30Ten!
26:31For forty.
26:33Hell!
26:34My family were
26:35absolutely over the moon.
26:37I don't think I will
26:38ever get over the feeling.
26:40He has grown so much
26:42as a dancer.
26:43Now I'm just so lucky
26:44to have a partner like
26:46Louis.
26:46Your timing's brilliant.
26:51Just keep going
26:52because I love it.
26:55I don't think there's
26:56ever a man that could
26:57dance a tangle like
26:58this.
27:00It feels like such an
27:01achievement to have made
27:02it through a black pool.
27:04It was absolutely
27:06extraordinary.
27:08Ten!
27:09Full of emotion.
27:16I loved it.
27:19Was the dance
27:20fantastic?
27:21Yes.
27:21Was it your best?
27:22Not in my opinion.
27:28I have loved being on
27:30Strictly.
27:31It's taught me so much,
27:32not just dancing,
27:33but about life and about
27:34me.
27:35I have enjoyed every
27:37single second of it.
27:39Proud is not enough
27:41of a word to express
27:42how I feel about what
27:44he's achieved.
27:46I've been so privileged
27:48to share this experience
27:50with Louis.
27:52You're never past
27:54anything.
27:54You can always learn a
27:56new skill.
27:57You can always challenge
27:58yourself and I'm going to
28:00take that forward for the
28:01rest of my life.
28:06Oh, what a journey.
28:07We've had so many
28:09questions come in for you.
28:11Emma has sent this in.
28:12Louis, how would you
28:13describe your Strictly
28:13experience in three
28:14words?
28:17Three words?
28:23Rewarding.
28:26And heartwarming.
28:28Yeah.
28:29Honestly, you can see how
28:30much it means to both of you.
28:31What do you think is going to
28:32stay with you the most from
28:33your time and Strictly?
28:34I think it's not really
28:37about dancing or anything.
28:40You have made me fall in
28:42love with dance, but you've
28:43also made me fall in love
28:45with life again.
28:47So thank you.
28:48Oh.
28:49Louis, you've grown every
28:50week by taking feedback on
28:52board.
28:52Sunday's show ended with a
28:53standing ovation and emotional
28:55judges.
28:56How do you reflect on the
28:58impact you've made on the
28:59show for people at home?
29:00Well, I'd just like to say
29:02thank you to everyone at
29:04home because without them,
29:06I wouldn't have been here
29:06this long.
29:07And, you know, we've gained
29:10so much joy from dancing.
29:12So if they were able to get
29:15some joy from us as well,
29:16then thank you.
29:17Listen, you've brought us
29:18so much.
29:18You are a sensational
29:19performer.
29:20You've produced some of the
29:21most iconic routines this
29:22show has ever seen.
29:23We were so lucky, the
29:25whole nation.
29:26We were so lucky.
29:27We were lucky.
29:28You're magic because you
29:30are one of a kind.
29:31You're our magic.
29:32And you're made for
29:33something extraordinary.
29:34Give it up for Louis and
29:35Katya.
29:36Amazing.
29:37That's it for tonight.
29:38Thanks to all my guests.
29:40I'm back tomorrow with a
29:40show you do not want to
29:41miss.
29:41It'll be an entire episode
29:42dedicated to the fabulous
29:44Tess and Claudia.
29:45We're joining you right here
29:46in the It Takes Two
29:47studio.
29:48That's from 6.30.
29:49See ya.
29:50On BBC iPlayer, 2025 went
30:04off.
30:05Oh my God.
30:07The twist.
30:08That's quite a twist.
30:09The comebacks.
30:10Oh my God.
