00:09Megan Thee Stallion makes her debut as the first rapper to land a Sports Illustrated swimsuit cover.
00:15Plus, Drake seemingly agrees with Rowdy Rebel's take on Pop Smoke's second posthumous album.
00:22Hey guys, it's Ali for Hollywood Life with your Music Roundup,
00:25starting with Megan Thee Stallion because her hot girl summer is going just as planned.
00:30The savage rapper landed the cover of the 2021 Sports Illustrated swimsuit issue
00:35and made history by becoming the first rapper ever to grace the iconic cover.
00:40Megan told People Magazine,
00:41When I got the call, they wanted me on the cover. I was like, what? Me?
00:45And to be the first female rapper on the swim cover makes it extra special. It feels amazing.
00:50For the cover, Megan wore a light brown bikini with a strappy cutout top
00:54and high cut string bottoms. She looks so good if I do say so myself.
00:59And switching gears a bit to Drake and his thoughts on Pop Smoke's second posthumous album.
01:04Pop Smoke's latest album, Faith, released last week and many people were not pleased with the end result.
01:10People online took issue with the fact that a large number of features on the album
01:14came from artists that Pop Smoke might not have wanted to work with.
01:18Rowdy Rebel, a Brooklyn-based artist, voiced his disapproval with the project
01:23and directly took a shot at the song Top Shotta featuring Pusha T.
01:28The original song was set to feature Eli Frost,
01:31but the final project showed that he had been removed and replaced with Pusha T.
01:35Rowdy posted on his Instagram story about this and said,
01:38SMH, I do not understand why my boy is not on this track.
01:42Well, the Instagram page It's Biz Kit shared a screenshot of Rowdy's pose and Drake quietly liked it.
01:49This led people to believe that Drake seemingly agrees with Rowdy's take on the Pusha T song.
01:53As many of you may know, Drake and Pusha had a big feud back in 2018,
01:58during which Pusha exposed the Six God rapper for, quote, hiding a child.
02:02But speaking of some other artists that Drake has friction with, Kanye West apparently hosted a small listening session in Las Vegas this weekend.
02:09Multiple clips surfaced online and include snippets of at least two new songs.
02:14The songs are rumored to possibly come from the long-delayed Donda album, which is named after his late mom.
02:20Though this event was very exclusive and invite-only, there was still a bit of chatter going on.
02:25Social media personality and host Justin LaBoye was reportedly there and posted several tweets after the event.
02:32In one tweet, the personality said,
02:34Kanye played his new album for me and KDTrey5 last night in Vegas.
02:39Man, listen, the production is light years ahead of its time and the bars sound like he's broke and hungry and trying to get signed again.
02:47Any artist who plan on dropping soon should just push it back.
02:50Justin also hinted that the album is expected to drop this week.
