Missing Bintulu youth found drowned in pond

The body of a young man believed to have fallen into a pond near the workers' quarters at Simpang Rumah Panjang Kiroh Bali, in Tatau on Sunday (Dec 7) was found drowned on Monday (Dec 8).   The victim, Daniel Jumau, 23, was reported missing around 4.18pm after his friends found his towel and slippers by the pond but failed to locate him. 00:32with police and Civil Defense Force personnel, took part in the search.

00:37The divers conducted underwater searches while other teams patrolled the surface.

00:41At 10.41 a.m., the victim was found at the bottom of the pond, about six meters deep and

00:47close to where he was believed to have fallen.

00:49The victim's body was then handed over to the police for further action.
