Transcript
00:00Wait, come here, I want to tell you something.
00:02First of all, I really like your hair color.
00:04Second of all, we want to invite you to see Mean Girls.
00:07Hey guys, we are here with Taylor Louderman,
00:09and I'm so excited because she plays Regina George
00:13on Mean Girls on Broadway, in Mean Girls on Broadway.
00:16So, first and foremost, tell me a little bit
00:18about how you get into this Mean Girl character,
00:21because you're mean.
00:23Well, I have my girlfriends, Ashley Park and Kate Rockwell.
00:26We're backstage for like 20 minutes before we go on,
00:28and it's just the three of us.
00:30So, we'll just mingle, catch up,
00:32because you don't really get to do that on stage.
00:33You have to say your lines.
00:34We'll mingle, catch up, and just feed off of each other's energy,
00:37and then right before we enter on stage,
00:39we're power posing, which do you know what those are?
00:42No, teach me the power pose.
00:43Well, Ted talks about it.
00:44This is probably the easiest one, right?
00:47Just hands on hip, you feel powerful, chest up, right?
00:50The other ones are kind of like this, maybe,
00:52or like this, which is like maybe a little too much to do
00:55in front of people that don't know what power poses are.
00:57I'll do them at auditions sometimes,
00:59and I think this would maybe not look so good.
01:01But yeah, and it tricks your brain.
01:03If you do it for two minutes, they say,
01:05it tricks your brain into feeling powerful, feeling confident.
01:08I'm standing in the power pose right now.
01:10Let's do it.
01:13I love that.
01:14That probably worked really well for your bring it on.
01:16Yeah, because she was a cheerleader,
01:17so I had to stand like this anyway.
01:19But Regina George is very confident,
01:21and Taylor is not as confident as Regina George,
01:24so this comes in handy.
01:25And I've made this her entrance pose,
01:27so for that reason.
01:29So also something that Regina does
01:31is wear six-inch, really high heels throughout the show.
01:35What is that like on stage,
01:37having to do that every single night?
01:39Well, I have to go get foot massages.
01:43And now when I wear flats,
01:44my feet are like, what's going on?
01:45What's happening?
01:46Louboutins are not comfortable.
01:48Sorry.
01:48Tell me about it.
01:49They're not, but boy, they're pretty.
01:51Beauty is pain.
01:51Beauty is pain.
01:52And so you do that amazing walk,
01:54that Regina George walk.
01:56Can you just like demo that?
01:57Can we like demo this walk?
01:59The power pose and the walk.
02:00The power pose and the walk.
02:01Yeah, I kind of just,
02:02she just like doesn't care about anything really.
02:04So her walk is really hip involved,
02:07really stand tall,
02:08and just like not giving you anything in the face, right?
02:12Just dead inside.
02:14Dead inside.
02:15So one more question.
02:17If you could ask Rachel McAdams,
02:18who was the original Regina on film,
02:22and now you are the original Regina on Broadway,
02:23what would you ask her?
02:25Oh my gosh.
02:25I would just want to know
02:26what the whole process was like,
02:28what it was like working with Tina,
02:30working with everyone involved,
02:31with the script.
02:33I really admire her.
02:34I really look up to her.
02:36So I don't even,
02:37I would probably choke up
02:39and not know what to say.
02:40How many of you have ever felt
02:42personally victimized
02:44by Regina George?
02:55Good.
