00:00We're finally getting a closer look at the new Mean Girls movie musical.
00:12Paramount Pictures dropped the official trailer for the big screen musical adaptation of the
00:17Tony-nominated Broadway show Mean Girls, a modern take on Tina Fey's 2004 classic of the same name.
00:23Katie Heron, Regina George, Janice Ian, Gretchen Wieners, Damien, Karen Smith,
00:28and Aaron Samuels are all back for this coming-of-age comedy, but with new actors playing
00:33the memorable characters. This time, Angauri Rice stars as Katie, who after moving from Kenya to a
00:38Chicago suburb, finds herself struggling to survive her new high school jungle, including a whole
00:43array of cliques, but run by the ever-popular Plastics, with Renee Rapp reigning as Regina
00:49George after playing the Queen Bee in the Broadway musical. The trailer doesn't feature the movie's
00:53music, but complete with new takes on memorable moments, such as Katie missing the memo,
00:58on slutty Halloween, a classic get-in-loser moment, and a painful talent show performance
01:03of Jingle Bell Rock. Fey, who wrote the screenplay, reprises her role as Miss Norbury, along with
01:08Tim Meadows, who is once again Principal Duvall. The film also stars Jenna Fisher as Katie's
01:13mom, and Jon Hamm as Coach Carr, among others.
