00:00Hello and welcome to the Dark Mystery Lounge, YouTube, the video sharing platform that changed
00:06the way people would be entertained.
00:08Its nearly 20 year history has given us a wide variety of videos, from tutorials, to
00:14gaming, to true crime videos like mine.
00:17But as great as those videos are, there are some videos that just leave you feeling a
00:22chill up your spine and question what the hell you just watched.
00:25We're going to take a look at creepy videos that are at least 10 years or older.
00:31If you want me to make a part 2 and have some suggestions, please leave them in the comment
00:36section down below.
00:38Don't forget to subscribe if you're new to the channel.
00:41Let's take a look at 5 of the creepiest videos in YouTube's history.
00:55Created by David B. Earle, this creepy video was uploaded in 2006.
01:07The video starts out with a young girl speaking what seems like gibberish.
01:13As she sits at a dining room table with flames in the background, she drops her head into
01:19the bowl as the video zooms out.
01:22Once the video zooms in, she picks her head up and says there is nothing and closes her eyes.
01:30According to the creator, the video is meant to be played by the
02:00It was inspired by a personal paradoxical desire for empirical proof that there is nothing on
02:07the other side of life.
02:09He wants to blur the distinction between the two states and to state the paradox by showing
02:15someone who is coming back from life or death and denies its existence, thereby fulfilling
02:21the paradox.
02:23This video still creeps the hell out of me.
02:25Originally uploaded in 2006, this short video starts out with an old legal warning along with
02:35some tracking issues.
02:36In a text that reads,
02:38In the year 2571, a videocassette tape was found in a pile of rubble on the ruins of a
02:45certain blue planet.
02:46What you're about to witness will not be the contents of the aforementioned cassette.
02:51This is an entirely different recording.
02:53What is displayed is what looks like a cheap public access children's show, as the title
02:59reads, Let's Make a New Friend.
03:01The music is just bizarre, and the audio of what sounds like a person screaming, like about
03:06to be murder type screaming.
03:08Rumors began to circulate that this was possible evidence of a great murder case.
03:13This video covered up the visual crime, but not the audio.
03:17Turns out, none of this is true.
03:19This was an art piece from artist Jason Kovac.
03:23The footage allegedly originates in 2001 as a submission for the New York-based art competition
03:30D2K1, or Destination Imagination 2001, and was uploaded onto YouTube by Michael Robinson.
03:39There really is no explanation for this creepy video.
03:41It just leaves you scratching your head as to what the hell you just watched.
03:54Uploaded in 2008 by Nana825763, the video was made for the creepypasta username 666.
04:03We see the person type in the username only for the results saying it's suspended.
04:09Refreshing the page over and over, eventually things start to change.
04:13After a few more refreshes, we finally see the results.
04:17Clicking on a few creepypasta.
04:47After a few creepypasta, the person starts freaking out.
04:49Trying to back out of the page, nothing happens.
04:52Try closing down the browser completely, doesn't respond.
05:05Even try shutting down the computer, nothing.
05:11Freaking out, the video just ends.
05:17The weird part is, at one point in time, the channel name 666 was suspended.
05:23But now it belongs to someone unrelated to the creepypasta.
05:27Meet Tara, she's a pop singer, with her hit single, I Feel Fantastic.
05:49I mean, just listen to her.
05:52I feel fantastic.
05:55Hey, hey, hey.
05:57You are fantastic.
06:03Hey, hey, hey.
06:07I feel fantastic.
06:10Hey, hey, hey.
06:13Truly stunning.
06:14Her voice range and pitch is just breathtaking.
06:17She made her debut on YouTube in 2009.
06:21The story goes that her creator, John, fell in love with a woman of the same name.
06:26But he was not satisfied with her.
06:28She just couldn't live up to his standards of perfection.
06:31So he killed the woman, taking her clothes.
06:34He then built an android that looks like his former lover, then dressed her in the same clothes.
06:39He programmed Tara to sing and made a music video, I Feel Fantastic, which was a big hit.
06:45The video featured a shot of the backyard, where it was said that's where he buried his girlfriend.
06:51Soon after, John fell in love with the android.
06:54She was indeed his perfect woman.
06:56After all his hard work, to his dismay, Tara became self-aware and killed her creator.
07:02No one has ever heard from John or Tara since.
07:05Of course, the story I just told you was completely false.
07:09Tara was indeed built by John Bergeron.
07:11He made that one video and sold the DVDs online.
07:15The footage that was uploaded was just someone who had actually bought the DVD.
07:19As for the weird shots of the backyard, it was probably just for cinematic beauty.
07:24The different angles that Tara is positioned in was just him trying things out.
07:29This is not the first robot that John has built, but it is certainly the most well-known.
07:33As to what really happened to John and Tara, that remains a mystery.
07:58Shay?
07:59Are you still doing that hand thing?
08:01I heard you're doing that hand thing today.
08:02God, what is that?
08:04Ah, what, ah, what, ah, ah, oh, right.
08:08Shay, what is it?
08:09Hand thing by Shay St. John was uploaded in 2007.
08:14It starts out with a neighbor named Jerron popping by to see what Shay is up to.
08:19We then see a shot of Shay doing this strange hand thing with wooden hands.
08:25Jerron joins in as Shay is making strange noise while doing the hand thing.
08:30This is just one of many strange videos about Shay.
08:33Shay St. John was the creation of film director Eric Fournier.
08:38The back story about Shay is that she was a supermodel who is disfigured in a train accident.
08:45In mourning of her beauty, she rebuilds herself with a collection of mannequin parts and still believes that she is beautiful, famous, and rich when everything around her shows the opposite.
08:56A live journal blog for Shay was started in 2003.
09:01This video and many others were uploaded to a channel called Elastic Spastic Plastic Fantastic, which was created on August 30, 2006.
09:10Sadly, her creator, Eric Fournier, died in 2010 at the age of 42.
09:17The video collection was moved to Shay St. John Archive channel after the original channel was terminated by YouTube in 2017.
09:25So I guess it's safe to say that we will never see any new videos of Shay.
09:31Maybe that's a good thing.
09:33Even her website looks like a fever dream.
09:35If you enjoyed this video, please smash that like button.
09:42Subscribe if you are new to the channel.
09:44Let me know if you want to see part two and any video suggestions.
09:49Thank you for hanging out with me in the Dark Mystery Lounge.
09:52This is Phoenix signing out.
09:53Have a good evening and stay safe.
