00:00Cash poor?
00:06DC reacts to a scathing leaked report of FBI agents
00:10accusing Trump-appointed director Cash Patel
00:13of turning the FBI into a circus.
00:16We've probably never seen an FBI director
00:20care so little about his job as Cash Patel.
00:23He's been using a government jet for personal flights
00:27and lavish vacations.
00:29Are his days as director numbered?
00:32Or will the president stick with him?
00:35Dodging bullets?
00:37Allegations that Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth
00:39and the White House are throwing an admiral under the bus
00:43over the lethal strike some are calling a war crime.
00:46Secretary Hegseth authorized Admiral Bradley
00:49to conduct these kinetic strikes.
00:51I'd be very surprised if he did this on his own
00:54without direct support or a command from the secretary.
00:58Could the secretary's own words come back to haunt him?
01:02I watched it live.
01:03Plus, Oscar winner Jamie Lee Curtis
01:06talks about enjoying relative chaos
01:08in the star-studded new family comedy, Ella McKay.
01:12Here come Hot Topics with Whoopi, Sarah Haynes, Joy Behar,
01:20Anna Navarro, Sunny Hostin, and Alyssa Farrah Griffin.
01:26Now, let's get things started.
01:28The view I see this version of me
01:32Sharp and hot blood
01:34I see what I think
01:36I'm afraid of beautiful
01:38Oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh.
01:45I like the view
01:47I see what I'm afraid of
01:48This version
01:49of you
01:50Oh, hello Hello
01:51Look, I love you
01:52Welcome to the view
01:53Welcome to the view
01:54Welcome to the view
01:55Welcome to the view
01:57Yeah
02:03Oh my
02:04All right.
02:06Well, let's spend this next hour together, shall we?
02:11Because there's a damning leaked report obtained by the New York Post
02:16of FBI and rank-and-file agents giving them a review of how Cash Patel is running the FBI.
02:26They call him a clown who's obsessed with social media and wasting taxpayer money
02:32and claimed that after Charlie Kirk's assassination,
02:36he refused to leave the FBI plane until a female agent found him a size medium field jacket
02:43so he could walk off the plane with a jacket that said FBI.
02:53I didn't make this up.
02:56You know, Whoopi, in the old days, J. Edgar Hoover was happy with a pair of pumps.
03:00I don't really know why there's a pump.
03:03I've heard that.
03:05I've heard that.
03:06But here's the reaction out of D.C.
03:08Watch.
03:10He's been using a government jet for personal flights and lavish vacations.
03:16He's been taking his girlfriend on overnight dates on a $60 million government jet.
03:23The guy who was the least qualified FBI director in history.
03:27We've probably never seen an FBI director care so little about his job as Cash Patel.
03:34He could simply choose not to take these trips and to focus his time on his job protecting the American people.
03:40Or he could pay back the taxpayers.
03:43Well, this will come not as a surprise to anyone.
03:54Patel denies any wrongdoing.
03:56Patel?
03:56And the White House defended him as a critical member of the president's team working to restore integrity to the FBI.
04:04But if half of this is true, even just half of it, is his loyalty to, you know, who going to be enough to save his job?
04:13Well, you know, it was Dan Bongino who they said was a clown.
04:20This report said it was a clown.
04:21And, you know, when you have clowns running an organization, it becomes a circus, right?
04:25And so that's really, I think, what's happening here.
04:27What we have to understand is that the FBI is a crucial part of our government.
04:32It's within the rubric of the Department of Justice.
04:36And what they are tasked to do is to protect the United States, our country, from terrorist and intelligence threats.
04:44They enforce domestic and international terrorism, foreign counterintelligence, cyber-based crime, public corruption, organized crime, white-collar crime.
04:52That's what they used to do now.
04:53Human trafficking.
04:54But what do they do now?
04:55But my point is I've worked with FBI agents.
04:58You know, I've worked with FBI agents as a federal prosecutor, and it is one of the most important jobs within the Department of Justice.
05:04And the fact that you have 24 FBI sources, the fact that you have a hundred and, I believe, 14-page, 115-page report saying that career FBI agents are losing confidence in the agency and are leaving the agency leaves our country unprotected from domestic and foreign threat.
05:24That is how serious this is.
05:25And will he leave?
05:27I don't think that President Trump will fire him, but I think he should resign.
05:33I think he should leave.
05:34Well, so should Trump resign?
05:35That doesn't mean you're going to do it.
05:36Yeah, it doesn't mean he's going to do it.
05:38He's going to do it.
05:39He's just not qualified.
05:40Well, he's not qualified.
05:42You know, we talk a lot here about how we're living in a time of misinformation and disinformation.
05:47And in the report, we talked about how a lot of people criticize that not only Cash Patel, but Dan Bongino relies on social media.
05:56When Charlie Kirk was assassinated, he went to X to post, or Truth Social, I don't know which one, to social media, to post that they had the person.
06:06Cash Patel, that's right.
06:07Yeah, and then he had to go back later and say, we got the wrong person.
06:10Everyone's watched a movie or Law & Order SVU or True Crime, and you've seen at every press conference, law enforcement is very careful with what they reveal to the public.
06:21Because it can undermine an entire investigation.
06:24It can undermine punishing the person that's guilty.
06:27It can also spread information falsely.
06:30Once it's out there, you can't drag it back in.
06:32So people are normally so careful.
06:34And this administration showed us with SignalGate, showed us with going to Twitter with big news.
06:40I remember getting a lecture in a news department when Twitter first burst onto the scene in 2009, and you could tweet.
06:46And they said, it is more important to be accurate than first.
06:50Always.
06:50And I find that this is such an important branch, and he is heading this agency to know that social media is his go-to media source, should be concerning to everyone.
07:00And the jet usage, okay, so he's got a girlfriend.
07:03She's a country music artist.
07:05Well, that's, you know, come on.
07:09She's trying to be a country music artist.
07:13But he gave her full security detail.
07:16He flew to watch her sing the national anthem.
07:18She has a security detail?
07:19He gave her full security detail.
07:22And we're paying for it.
07:23The taxpayers, correct?
07:24And then also, he had said in 2023 that Ray, who was in charge of the department at the time, shouldn't be using the jet.
07:30There's so much corruption.
07:31Now he's used it to watch her sing the national anthem.
07:33He went on a golf trip with some buddies.
07:35That is not your private plane, dude.
07:37Like, that is literally not your plane.
07:39Yes, but you know, the whole administration believes that that's our, go ahead.
07:45Patel says that he repays the American people for his private usage.
07:49Did you get a check?
07:51I have not.
07:52I have not.
07:53Did anybody here get a check from Casper?
07:55Okay.
07:56That's what he said.
07:57He's repaid.
07:57See, I don't know what Americans expect.
08:00This is the most unqualified administration we've ever had in history.
08:04I mean, you've got, you've got just a couple of people.
08:07You've got RFK Jr.
08:09was an environmental lawyer, a lawyer and a conspiracy theorist.
08:13And now he's the secretary of health.
08:14Where does he come to be the secretary of health?
08:17Has no medical background whatsoever.
08:19Right.
08:19Well, he had a headache once.
08:21That's true.
08:22You have Sean Duffy, who was on Real World, an MTV reality, who only, his only qualification,
08:28again, when they're into clothing, is don't wear pajamas on a plane.
08:31That's all he cares about.
08:33Linda McMahon went from CEO of the World Wide Wrestling to the secretary of education.
08:41And, I mean, and the Republicans in Congress just sit back and let this unfold for the American
08:46people.
08:47It's enough.
08:47It's a disgrace.
08:48It's a disgrace.
08:49Yeah.
08:50Well, you know, there's no oversight.
08:55I mean, according to this, Brian could be secretary of state.
09:00I'd trust him more, probably.
09:01Well, I mean, you could be, but why should you be?
09:08That's the thing.
09:09Why should any of these people be in these jobs?
09:12They're not qualified for them.
09:14Why have we, as Americans, not stood up and said, excuse me, RFK?
09:22Yeah.
09:22Why are you telling me what to do with my family?
09:27Mind your business.
09:28It should be the whole.
09:28I have a doctor.
09:29I have a doctor.
09:30I have myself.
09:32This is my family.
09:33And if I want my kid to get vaccinated, that's not up to you.
09:39It should be the House and the Senate oversight committees doing their jobs to oversee these
09:46unqualified cabinet positions.
09:48They should be doing something.
09:49You always say it's up to the people.
09:51And we speak in voting booths.
09:53When you think about it, we have spoken and we are speaking.
09:55At the last election, there was a massive blue wave because the elected officials in
10:00the House and Senate...
10:02They're not doing their jobs.
10:02They're advising and consenting.
10:04We're just like, whatever you want me to do.
10:06So, like, that's how you got all these people.
10:08It goes to, what is government for?
10:11Government is to protect the people.
10:12That's why RFK shouldn't be in that position.
10:15You need an expert who's basing everything on science.
10:18And he's not.
10:19So that people can make their own decisions.
10:22Their doctor will do what they want.
10:23But they want some guidance from the experts.
10:26Well, here's something they could do.
10:28I have eye drops that I take every day because my eyes are funny.
10:33Um, they cost, in the United States, it cost me $1,000.
10:40My ball, right?
10:41$1,000?
10:42Let's eat those eye drops.
10:43For these eye drops.
10:44Yes.
10:45They allow me to see that.
10:46Do you know?
10:47For a month, a month supply.
10:48For as long as they last.
10:50The bottle is this big.
10:52My husband's doing the same thing.
10:53Yes.
10:53So, you know what it costs in Europe?
10:5720 euro.
10:58Wow.
10:5920 euro.
11:00So, RFK, you really want to do something for the people?
11:04You really want to get people understanding what can be done with the power of the government?
11:10Make sure we're not overpaying insanely for our drugs.
11:15Why are we paying the way we are?
11:19Do you fix that?
11:21Fix that.
11:22$1,000?
11:25It's worth it to take a trip to Europe to buy them.
11:28Wow.
11:28You know what?
11:30And most people could never afford that.
11:31I would like to go to Europe not having to worry about not having my medication.
11:36Wow.
11:37Yeah.
11:37$1,000.
11:39And do you know how many medications in this country go for that much money?
11:43Yeah.
11:43A lot of them.
11:44And most people can't afford it.
11:45And people can't afford them.
11:46That's right.
11:47And that's one of the things they're trying to do to us.
11:49They're trying to choke us out of our medication.
11:51That is not America first.
11:52No, that is not America first.
11:53That's right.
11:54And we will be right back.
11:56Woo!
11:56Woo!
11:57Woo!
11:57Woo!
11:58Woo!
11:58Woo!
11:58Woo!
11:58Woo!
11:59Welcome back.
12:11Let's continue to talk about people who are not in the jobs they should be in.
12:15Mm-hmm.
12:16Because there's a new plot twist in the alleged narco boat strike that some people are calling
12:21a war crime.
12:23Defense Secretary Hegseth and the White House now confirmed there was a second strike, but
12:28it wasn't Pete who ordered it.
12:31Take a look.
12:31With respect to the strikes in September 2nd, Secretary Hegseth authorized Admiral Bradley
12:37to conduct these kinetic strikes.
12:40Admiral Bradley worked well within his authority and the law, directing the engagement to ensure
12:46the boat was destroyed and the threat to the United States of America was eliminated.
12:50Admiral Bradley was the one who gave that order for a second strike.
12:53And he was well within his authority to do so.
12:55Okay.
12:56I think Secretary Hegseth likely gave the order.
12:59I know Admiral Bradley, he's the SOCOM commander, he came up through the ranks, he is decorated,
13:06he's experienced.
13:07I'd be very surprised if he did this on his own, without direct support or a command from
13:13the secretary.
13:13I do believe we said yesterday that this is exactly what they were going to do.
13:18Yeah.
13:18They were going to blame the folks who worked in that plane.
13:24Yeah.
13:25It's like they're little kids.
13:25Because they knew that Pete, he's going to get a pardon.
13:29So he's not going to be held.
13:30But the blaming is like, I didn't do what he did, and I didn't do what he did.
13:33This is what they did.
13:34Look.
13:35Watch this.
13:36See this?
13:37Mm-hmm.
13:38See the bus over there?
13:39Yeah.
13:39Yeah.
13:39Under the bus.
13:40That's the Admiral.
13:41Yeah.
13:42That's the Admiral.
13:43He threw that Admiral right under the bus.
13:45They did throw him under the bus.
13:46I think what's so sad is when you're really a leader, you take responsibility and accountability
13:53for the wins and the losses.
13:54Yeah.
13:55For all the decisions that are made.
13:56That is true leadership.
13:57The bus stops there.
13:58The bus stops with the secretary of defense or the secretary of war, whatever he wants to
14:04call himself.
14:04I don't know.
14:04And what's interesting to me is on Sunday, Trump was interviewed on Air Force One, I believe,
14:11and he said Pete told him he didn't issue the order to kill all the people on board.
14:18He said he did not order the death of those two men.
14:21That's what President Trump said.
14:22Then on Monday, a Department of Defense official says Hegseth had the target engagement authority.
14:30And then on Monday evening, you have the secretary of defense, Pete Hegseth, say it was the admiral.
14:36I mean, the lack of accountability from the top is despicable.
14:41It's disgusting.
14:42Everyone knows when you work in the government, there is a hierarchy.
14:45And the problem here is if a war crime was committed, everyone's responsible.
14:50Pete Hegseth is.
14:51That admiral is.
14:52The admiral is.
14:53Whoever pulled the trigger is.
14:55So it's a horrible, horrible thing.
14:58Well, the most weaselly part is they're saying that it's the—do you notice how legal that announcement was?
15:05Yes.
15:05Caroline Leavitt normally runs those pretty loose, and her head's up here and everything.
15:08That whole thing is language that was specific to this moment, which means they kind of know they might be in hot water.
15:14Yeah.
15:15But I thought the worst part was how they blame it on the admiral and then said, but it's fine.
15:20Why not just defend your stance?
15:22Like, why not take it and say, I made a decision?
15:24Because that admiral is incriminated now.
15:26You have to have—
15:28Agreed, but I'm just giving them a suggestion because this was a decorated admiral.
15:32Explain to me how this is a war crime.
15:35It's not even a war crime because we're not in war.
15:37It may just be murder.
15:39Oh, yeah.
15:40Well, it could also be a war crime, though, because they're saying that there's a war on drugs.
15:45And what they are actually doing is they're using the military for a law enforcement function.
15:49When there is a drug problem going on, what you generally do is you send DEA agents
15:56and you send local law enforcement into the United States of America, into whatever town is happening.
16:02You don't start flying military planes over international waters and bombing people off the coast of Venezuela.
16:09And this is not the first one.
16:09This is not the first one.
16:11We have been saying this for weeks.
16:14Yeah.
16:15For weeks.
16:16You are not allowed to just go and bomb people like this.
16:19Well, and also, he's killing the worker because he's not the leader.
16:23He's pardoning the leader.
16:24Not this leader, sorry.
16:25But Juan Hernandez, who he pardoned, had 35 years in the U.S. in our court system.
16:32And the prosecutor said, ask the judge to make sure Hernandez would die behind bars citing his abuse of power,
16:39connections to violent traffickers, and the unfathomable destruction caused by cocaine.
16:43And yet, that guy gets a pass because he has money and he has power.
16:47And that guy is going to be let out while these worker bees on these boats are just blown up.
16:52Well, let's be really clear.
16:53If they are drug dealers.
16:54We don't know who anyone on those boats are because they don't have any intel.
17:00And by the way, 11 people died during that strike.
17:03During this recent strike, 83 people have died altogether.
17:06You mean to tell me they have evidence that all 83 of those people are drug traffickers?
17:11If that's the case, I want to see that evidence.
17:13Well, that's the point.
17:13We should see that evidence.
17:14That's the point.
17:15If you have it, there should be no reason why this is happening in the dark.
17:21Correct.
17:21This does not.
17:22You know, if you're going to do this, claim it.
17:26Yeah.
17:27If you really think that those two men were going to swim to one of the coasts of the United States
17:34and with their soaking wet drugs, prove it.
17:37And not only that, Whoopi, under the Pentagon's war rules, they are not allowed to kill those
17:45men if they, only if they have an ability to fight back.
17:52My understanding is that those two men were swimming.
17:55They were swimming.
17:55They were trying to hang on to that boat.
17:57They were hanging on shipwrecking.
17:58Listen, this is just scummy no matter how you look at it.
18:03There's no, there's no possible reason to do it like this when we as a nation know better.
18:11We've been doing what we've been doing for two, three hundred years, however old we are.
18:17We know how to take care of things that are a confrontation to this country.
18:22We don't do it like that.
18:24We don't do it like that.
18:25The Dominic Hotel, proud hotel provider for The View, offers spacious luxury accommodations
18:35and sweeping city views, just steps from the studio.
18:39Savor the day a little longer with relaxing treatments at the Sisley Spa or Light Bites at El Tekoi.
18:44Welcome back to the new comedy, Ellen McKay, Oscar winner, Jamie Lee Curtis stars as a supportive aunt
18:57in a family with different ways of working through their emotions.
19:00Take a look.
19:01I've never been this angry where it is unbearable.
19:05You can't imagine what it feels like.
19:07You can't.
19:08I need to act on it.
19:09You're wrong.
19:12I can't imagine how it feels.
19:14I...
19:16I...
19:17You're...
19:19Sitting on it.
19:24That must be very frustrating.
19:28Correct.
19:29Well, that's what not screaming will get you.
19:34So, listen, Ella, I do have something...
19:37Please welcome back the fabulous Jamie Lee Curtis.
19:50Yes, Queen.
20:02We all need to scream.
20:05Yes.
20:05This is not a Halloween joke.
20:21I mean, this is a movie about a young politician, beautiful woman filled with ideas and the belief
20:28that public service is public service, that we're here to help the lives of other people.
20:34What a quaint idea.
20:35Oh, hi.
20:36Well, I mean, a quaint and, you know, insane imagining today because it's all about greed
20:42and self-serving rather than public serving.
20:47So, here's this young woman, but she's sitting.
20:50She has a douchey father.
20:52She has a douchey husband.
20:54No, not me, I'm saying.
20:56No, no, no.
20:56But I mean, you know, people can relate.
20:58And what I'm saying is I think we're all, as a country, we're all like her.
21:05We're just sitting there like what you guys have been talking about for the last 30 minutes.
21:09We're all just like...
21:10It was only 10.
21:11It just felt like 30.
21:12It feels like...
21:13But it, by the way, and it's today's 30 and yesterday's 30 and the day before.
21:17It is a communal expression of rage.
21:22And what we're saying is you got to let it out, right?
21:26And so, for me, I do feel we're letting it out.
21:29I feel the worm she is turning.
21:34Yeah.
21:35I think the worm is turning.
21:37And...
21:38I'm just going to say, Jamie and I were talking before coming here, the OG Jamie with the
21:45other Jamie, one of the producers here.
21:47And I said to her, she was saying, are you feeling hopeful?
21:50I was like, yes.
21:52Yeah.
21:52I am actually hopeful.
21:53I feel like we are starting to say no.
21:57Yeah.
21:58No.
21:58And I said, the worm she is turning.
22:01And I said, I wonder where that comes from.
22:03From RFK's head.
22:04Let's...
22:05I mean, come on!
22:17So, wait.
22:18Okay.
22:18But where it comes from, Merriam-Webster.
22:23Yeah.
22:23The Worm Turns used to talk about how a situation can suddenly change so that a person who's
22:30been weak, unlucky, unsuccessful can become strong, lucky, and successful.
22:38That's America.
22:40Right.
22:40Yeah.
22:41Yeah.
22:41No, it is.
22:42I feel it.
22:43I hope you're right.
22:44So, having said all of this, Jamie, what do you have to be thankful for on this Thanksgiving
22:50week?
22:51That worm turned.
22:54Is that it?
22:54The Thanksgiving is so over.
22:56I know, but...
22:57Yeah.
22:57Oh, but this is the week of Thanksgiving?
22:58Almost.
22:59But Thanksgiving was last week.
23:01Gratitude spills over into next week, Monday, or Tuesday?
23:03What day is it?
23:04Today is Tuesday.
23:06It's Giving Tuesday.
23:07Yeah.
23:07Giving.
23:08It's Giving Tuesday.
23:08Again, Giving to Others Tuesday, a reminder for all of us to remember at the end of the
23:14year that it's important that all of the charitable institutions by the end of the year need
23:20our support.
23:21Children's Hospital Los Angeles, Myriad...
23:24St. Jude's.
23:25St. Jude's.
23:26So, this is Giving Tuesday.
23:27So, it's Tuesday, but Thanksgiving was last...
23:29That's like so yesterday.
23:31Well, my Thanksgiving was great joy.
23:34Well, good.
23:35I'm happy to hear that.
23:36It was.
23:36Yes, I learned something on Thanksgiving.
23:38What'd you learn?
23:39My godson is Jake Gyllenhaal.
23:41Oh.
23:41Oh.
23:42That's what I learned.
23:45I was like, what?
23:48That's so great.
23:49Anyway, he went on Colbert.
23:52Sorry.
23:53And, um...
23:54I'll do it again.
23:55He talked about...
23:56Do it again.
23:57He went on Colbert.
23:58He went on Stephen Colbert.
24:00Yes.
24:01Yes.
24:02Yes.
24:02Um, and he talked about spatch-cocking a turkey.
24:07And Stephen Colbert, of course, made great funny jokes about...
24:10How do you spatch-cock?
24:11Does that make a big turkey?
24:13No, but it's...
24:13Let's drop this whole topic.
24:16Are you a vegetarian?
24:17Now I want to hear about spatch-cocking.
24:19Are you a vegetarian?
24:19No, but spatch-cocking is not one of the things I like to do.
24:24Okay.
24:24To each his own, darling.
24:28But...
24:29So, I...
24:30I have never heard the term.
24:32I've never heard of it.
24:33I think it's the word of the year.
24:35Because all of a sudden, it's everywhere.
24:37But it's gross.
24:40And it's...
24:40It sounds gross.
24:41It's gross and violent.
24:42Oh.
24:43And it involves, like, taking bones out of an animal and then...
24:46But it's dead already.
24:48It's dead.
24:49I'll tell you what.
24:50Yes.
24:50Anyway.
24:51Why don't...
24:52It's...
24:53You do a thing to the thing and you flatten it.
24:56Right.
24:56It's basically flattening it.
24:58And you cook it like that.
24:58And then you roast it like that.
24:59Anyway, I did learn how to do that for Thanksgiving.
25:02Oh, very good.
25:03Just saying that...
25:04And since you played Donna...
25:05That was my Thanksgiving.
25:06There's more from Joy.
25:08Really?
25:09Yes, there's more.
25:10Should I come over there?
25:11Too late.
25:13Joy.
25:13I would love to.
25:14Read it.
25:14So, look.
25:15So, since you played Donna Berzato on The Bear, which is always in the kitchen,
25:21did you learn it?
25:21Did you learn how to cook?
25:22Do you know how to do besides spatchcocking?
25:24You know, I am a marital cook.
25:27Oh.
25:28I'm a marital cook.
25:29What does that mean?
25:29I'm a maternal cook.
25:30Yeah.
25:31Meaning I did not learn how to...
25:32She spatchcocks her husband.
25:39Go ahead, Donna.
25:42Should we talk about...
25:43We should go on the road, Dave.
25:44Yeah.
25:46Wow.
25:47Should we talk about your new movie?
25:48I'm actually blushing.
25:49You are.
25:50You are.
25:50You are.
25:51So, maybe we should...
25:52And I don't blush.
25:52Okay, Sunny has a question.
25:53Maybe we should talk about your film.
25:55Thank you, Sunny.
25:55There you go.
25:56Because it's...
25:56What?
25:57Shut up.
25:58We're going to talk about a movie.
26:00It's wonderful.
26:01It's called Wonderful Movie.
26:02It's called Ella McKay.
26:02It is wonderful.
26:04We really need the laughter right now.
26:06I agree with you.
26:07We need the laughter and the ideas.
26:08Exactly.
26:08And you have this wonderful cast.
26:11You have Emma Mackey.
26:12You have the douchey dad, Woody Harrelson.
26:15Yes.
26:15You've got Ayo Adeburi.
26:19Adeburi.
26:20Who plays alongside you on the bear.
26:22Yes.
26:22And then you also have Albert Brooks.
26:24Yes.
26:24It's directed by the legendary James Brooks.
26:26And written.
26:27And written.
26:28They're not related.
26:29They are not.
26:29But it's a story of family.
26:31And my question is, how did it find you?
26:34So, okay.
26:35So, first of all, it's James L. Brooks.
26:37James L. Brooks wrote and directed Terms of Endearment.
26:40As good as it gets.
26:41I mean, incredible.
26:41Broadcast news.
26:42Broadcast news.
26:43I mean, he is.
26:45He invented The Simpsons.
26:46Yes.
26:47He's legendary.
26:48He's a legend.
26:48Brilliant.
26:49And, you know, I've waited my whole life.
26:51I'm 67.
26:52I've been an actress since I was 19.
26:54Obviously, I have a great life, full career.
26:57But I've waited my whole life for a filmmaker like James L. Brooks to send me a letter.
27:02He wrote me a letter.
27:02He said, Dear Jamie Lee, I've taken a long time to write this script.
27:07I'd love for you to play Helen.
27:09We shoot in the fall.
27:10And the note finished with my, I direct better than I handwrite, Jim.
27:15Wow.
27:16Which is very funny.
27:17But for me, this is a great part.
27:20This is that young woman I talked about who was filled with ideas about helping people as a young politician.
27:27Her aunt is her total backbone.
27:31Like her number one cheerleader.
27:34And it's, again, I feel like we, in a weird way, I think that you guys are all Aunt Helens.
27:40For the people that are watching at home who are feeling, no, I'm serious.
27:46They, the way you guys represent options and solutions and truth and giving voice so that other people can nod and go, yeah, me too.
27:58I feel like what you offer in this world, Aunt Helen offers in Ella McKay to Emma Mackey's character.
28:07And it's, it's uplifting.
28:09It's filled with family drama the way we all have it.
28:13And it's a beautiful, beautiful, really perfect family movie.
28:17That seems to be your M.O., darling.
28:19Beautiful, beautiful family movie.
28:21Now you're flirting.
28:22All the time.
28:24We'll be back with more with Jamie Lee Curtis.

28:48We are back with the fabulous Jamie Lee Curtis.
28:52Sarah.
28:53Yes, yes, yes.
28:54In 1991, the forever beloved film, My Girl, premiered.
28:59And you starred as Shelley alongside Dan Aykroyd, Anna Klumsky, and Macaulay Culkin, both of whom were around 10 years old at the time.
29:07Now you reposted this video of you guys singing a customized version of The Temptations, My Girl.
29:13And you can tell us what's going on here.
29:15Okay, so I wrote this.
29:17So I wrote the parody version of this, My Girl.
29:23And it was our crew gift.
29:24We actually made a little video, shot it in the studio, and made VHSs.
29:29Remember those?
29:29And we gave it to the crew because the original title of the movie was Born Jaundiced.
29:36And then they were going to call it Veda, which was her name.
29:39Born Jaundiced?
29:39Then they were going to call it I Am Woman.
29:42Oh.
29:43And then it ended up with My Girl.
29:44And so her opening line of the song was, I was born jaundiced on a sunny day.
29:50I am woman sometimes.
29:52Veda other days.
29:53I guess since Columbia Pays, the title that made their day is My Girl.
29:59And then she goes back to Macaulay, who's playing drums, and says, he has so many allergies.
30:09The bees owe the bees.
30:11And by the way, when I was making that movie, I called the president of marketing at Columbia.
30:18And I said, guys, you have a poster of the biggest star in the world, Macaulay Culkin, and this little girl laughing on the cover of the poster.
30:26I said, you have to put a warning.
30:28Yeah.
30:28You have to say, issues of life and death explored in this film, because this little boy is going to die on film, and you're going to see him dead in a coffin, and you're going to freak out every child in America.
30:43Yeah.
30:44Well, they did not listen to me, and the movie went on to be a big hit, so what do I know?
30:49That's not to say.
30:49But I'm a good mama.
30:51Yes, yes.
30:51That's not to say that.
30:52I'm a good mom.
30:54Not to say they didn't freak the kids out.
30:56They did.
30:56They did.
30:57I think today it would have had a warning label.
30:59And they put mood rings on the map.
31:01I love that mood ring.
31:02And blue eye shadow.
31:03Yep.
31:03Yep.
31:04Because you can never wear too much blue eye shadow.
31:05No, I agree.
31:06Oh, I can.
31:09Blue eye shadow.
31:12Sometimes it just doesn't work.
31:14Yeah, I know.
31:15I know.
31:16It is always such a pleasure.
31:16Listen, you are such lovely people.
31:19I do think you're all America's Aunt Helens.
31:22Oh, yeah.
31:22And so on behalf of America, thank you all for offering us your loving support.
31:27Oh, thank you.
31:30Ella McKay opens only in theaters on Friday, December 12th.
31:35So do yourself a favor and go feel good.
31:38Yes.
31:39Okay?
31:40That's awesome.
31:41Sonny, yes, thank you, Whoopi.
31:57We are not the only ones obsessed with the game box bowling.
32:00It continues to blow up with more than a billion views on social media and counting.
32:06We love it. I love it.
32:08And it's also a great way to improve hand-eye coordination,
32:11reflexes, and body control, and it makes a great stocking stuffer.
32:14So I asked one of the co-founders of our sponsor to come back for the rematch
32:20I've been waiting for between me and Sarah.
32:23Check it out.
32:24Victor, Sonny and I already know how awesome this game is, obviously.
32:27And do you remember how heated things might have gotten last time?
32:31Yes.
32:31I actually don't think we were that bad.
32:32No, we weren't. I'm worse with my family.
32:34Yes, see? She does her best for me.
32:37But why do you think people love this game so much?
32:39I mean, it's the ultimate combination of fun and fitness.
32:42So you get up, you put the headband on, you start punching the ball, and avoid getting hit.
32:48And it comes with a free app where you can play different game modes and participate in online competitions.
32:54Oh, against other people.
32:55Exactly.
32:55You can take your competition to the world.
32:57That's right.
32:58Online, worldwide.
32:59Oh, nice.
32:59So we have Tom Brady. He did 17 hits in five seconds.
33:03Yes.
33:04He went up. He didn't do that before. Is he getting better?
33:06He's up at 17 now. That's his best, his highest.
33:09Well, you haven't seen Austin and Haynes.
33:11We're going to see it soon.
33:12Will Smith, 15. And Kris Jenner did 11 hits.
33:15Kris Jenner?
33:17Yes.
33:1711.
33:18We've got to be below it.
33:19I don't know.
33:19You can do it.
33:19I don't know.
33:20And it's perfect for all ages, from kids to grandparents. Everyone can join in.
33:24My kids do this. They love it.
33:25Yes, mine too.
33:26That's the best receipt I can have.
33:28And I'm not going to name names, but a certain somebody, her name starts with S in Hauston,
33:34loves to take competition to a next level, and has definitely, possibly been practicing behind my back.
33:40Let's get to it.
33:41All right.
33:42Rematch.
33:43Three, two, one.
33:51Ooh.
33:51You've got 11.
33:52I beat Kris Jenner. That's all I needed.
33:5411. Ready?
33:55Yeah.
33:56Three, two, one.
34:0511.
34:06Yay!
34:07All right, Kris Jenner. We've got her. We've got her.
34:10So you're both awesome at Boxbollen.
34:13Obviously.
34:1411-11.
34:15So now I'm going to challenge you with our new product, Footballen.
34:19Okay.
34:19For all the soccer lovers out there.
34:21Okay.
34:22It's the same concept, but this time it's a handle where you can adjust the string length.
34:27Oh, well, lucky there.
34:29And now we're going to kick it.
34:30Oh, gosh.
34:34Okay.
34:35Yes!
34:35I'm not going to do that as well.
34:37It's for you.
34:38You can do it pretty.
34:41Okay.
34:42Three, two, one.
34:47Nice.
34:50That was nice.
34:52That's great.
34:53Ready?
34:54Yes.
34:54Three, two, one.

35:11I did dance ballet.
35:12I know.
35:12You can tell.
35:13This is hard.
35:14It's fun, though.
