00:38You know, yesterday, Friday, right, there was this Arctic wind in Machu Valley, right?
00:48And it's still continuing, according to weather forecast, this Arctic wind in Machu Valley, it will continue until tomorrow evening, like Saturday, today is Saturday, tomorrow Sunday, around 8pm.

01:41What happened was in Matsu Valley, there is this continuing arctic wind, extremely strong wind.
02:02So it knocked down some trees, and those trees when it fell, knocked out some electrical wires.
02:15So in Matsu Valley, there is power outage right now.
02:23I looked up in the internet, because of the fallen trees messing with electrical wire.
02:31I live in Matsu Valley right, so today, earlier today, Saturday, power outage, so no electricity.
02:42And some houses have generators, just powered by gasoline or diesel, whatever.
02:51But my house does not have a generator, to convert from fossil fuel to electricity.
02:58Actually, my house does not have that.
03:01And some houses have this fireplace inside of house, fireplace and chimney, old school style.
03:11My house does not have that.

03:14And I have two kinds of heating source in my house, just outside of Matsu Valley, okay.
03:24And electrical heater, several of them, okay.
03:29And, uh, fossil fuel based, this heating oil based, uh, TOYO stove for living room, main heater.
03:41Although it runs on fossil fuel, like heating oil, uh, but, uh, it's electrical.
03:47So when there's power outage, even the heating oil based TOYO stove does not work.

03:58So, I'm okay with, without electricity for a while, but when it comes to heating, I need heating.

04:08Uh, outside, temperature, about 10 Fahrenheit.
04:16There's negative 10 Celsius below freezing, okay.
04:21So, uh, it's not too cold, but for a couple of days without heating, I, I, I, yeah, it's too dangerous.
04:35So, I drove from Matsu Valley to Anchorage.

05:02And, actually, in, so I drove from my home, outside of Matsu Valley, uh, to Anchorage downtown first.
05:13Because, maybe, there's electricity there.

05:18But, looks like, uh, the street lights, their electricity power source is different from residential.
05:27I think they're a separate system, okay.
05:29Yes, the street lights are doing fine.
05:32Uh, but, I went to a hotel, the biggest hotel in Wasila downtown.
05:38Uh, they said, yeah, well, all the rooms are booked.
05:42But, on top of that, even in that hotel, uh, the Wasila downtown, they said, they are using emergency power.
05:52I guess, they have their own generator.

05:56But, all the guest rooms, so, in the lobby of that biggest hotel in Wasila downtown, they have some emergency electricity.
06:07I guess, they have their own power generator, okay.
06:10But, when it comes to, they told me, when it comes to guest rooms, they were fully booked already.

06:18Uh, but, even in the guest rooms, they say, uh, there's no heating, and there's no electricity.
