00:22My name is Emmy Lockwood with the Party for Socialism and Liberation.
00:31I'm here demonstrating in Los Angeles, one of 65 cities across the country that are out in protest against the war.
00:39I think it's really important that we demonstrate in a coordinated way, right, as getting thousands of people across the country to demonstrate.
00:46Because we can stop the war before it stops, before it starts.
00:51This wouldn't be the first time, in fact, that a coalition of non-anti-war organizations in the U.S. have stopped wars in the past.
01:01And we must unite to protect the rights and sovereignty of the Venezuelan people.
01:09Many different organizations and immigrant rights activists have spoken today on the program about how there's money to fund ICE.
01:17There's constant money for war.
01:19There's no money for our schools.
01:22There's no money for free child care in this country or paid parental leave.
01:26All things that every working class person knows would benefit their life here.
01:31But there's always money for invasions and sanctions and bombing fishing boats.
01:39We also know that Trump is talking about spreading intense racism and lies against the Venezuelan people.
01:48The same way that Trump talks about Mexicans or other Latinos or other people of other countries, right, now it's Somalis.
01:57So we're going to demonstrate against every single act and intention of racism, of war drive, because together we know we can stop him.
02:08The real criminals are not working class you for a little, you're going to have to go and fight this war and kill innocent lives.
02:13The real criminals are fighting and the Democrats who sanctioned Venezuela and unleashed this economic war that destroyed the economy, bringing many immigrants here to this country fleeing.

02:33The real criminals are the war profiteers, Boeing, Lockheed Mine, Raytheon, that are literally waiting for this war so they can use the weapons they mass produce.

02:55We saw the destruction that it had on so many families, our neighbors, families ripped apart, kids taken from their mothers, fathers taken away from their families.
03:05We saw the effects on people's livelihoods, people struggling to pay for rent, people struggling to buy their groceries.
03:12The war on immigrants that Trump launched here at home is the same war that Trump is trying to launch on Venezuela.
