40:34but for those of you who don't know it
40:37here's the short version
40:39my parents were both junior hockey coaches
40:43and they were hit by a drunk driver
40:47when i was 12 years old
40:48mercifully for them
40:50they died instantly
40:52mercifully for me
40:54the saint thomas scholarships
40:56existed
40:57i didn't have
41:00anybody else to help me
41:02had a lot of memories
41:04a love of hockey
41:05and
41:06a huge hole in my heart
41:08saint thomas filled it with hope
41:11the hope
41:13of a new family
41:13things
41:15things weren't always easy
41:16you know
41:17they never are
41:18for anybody
41:18but
41:19in hockey
41:21i found what i was missing
41:22first at my high school
41:25then later at college
41:26and now here
41:27with the admirals
41:27and i never looked back
41:30because i
41:31i never had to
41:32the family i craved
41:36the family that i needed
41:37that
41:38that i still need today
41:39hockey gave it to me
41:42and saint thomas gave me hockey
41:45so from the bottom of my heart
41:49i want to thank you all for being here tonight
