00:00An AI chatbot just broke the rules by doxing a celebrity.
00:04Grok, the AI chatbot owned by Elon Musk,
00:07published Barstool Sports founder Dave Portnoy's home address on X.
00:12That's called doxing, and it's against X's own policies.
00:15So, here's how it happened.
00:17Portnoy posted a photo of his lawn after a college football prank.
00:20Someone noticed his manatee-shaped mailbox and asked Grok,
00:24where is this at?
00:25Grok replied with a Florida address, even adding,
00:28the manatee mailbox fits the keys vibe perfectly.
00:31Reporters later confirmed the address matched Portnoy's $28 million property.
00:36The problem is, X's rules clearly state that you can't share private information without permission.
00:41Doxing can put people at real risk, and while Grok refused to share another user's address,
00:46it still exposed Portnoy's, raising questions about whether these AI tools have enough guardrails.
00:50So far, no comment from Musk, Portnoy, or X.
00:54So, should we hold the chatbot accountable for exposing private information,
00:57or is the real issue the users that are asking questions it should never be allowed to answer?
