Tee Higgins is BACK and Will Play in Bengals' Showdown vs Bills
Transcript
00:00Yes, I cleared today. Today was the last thing I had to do with the Dodgers, sir.
00:05And you're going to play on Sunday?
00:06Full goal, yes.
00:08What are you looking forward to the most about getting back with Joe on the field?
00:12Just honestly, just competing with my guys, you know, competing with everything else.
00:16You know, obviously I had to watch the game last week. It looked like fun, so just want to go out there, you know, and compete.
00:22Can you walk us through kind of what happened on that play, kind of what you remember before the concussion?
00:26I thought it was called. Go get me a ball. Ended up having a concussion at the end.
00:36What do you remember going into the locker room kind of as everything happened?
00:40Like, what was kind of running through your mind in that moment?
00:43Honestly, you know, you know, once something like that happens, you want to go back in the game.
00:47You know, I'm asking to change if I can go back in, but, you know, stand in the concussion quarter car,
00:51I have to go do the tests and things like that.
00:53So, obviously, it ended up being out for the rest of the game.
00:58You said it looked like fun when you were watching me.
01:00You know, what looked like fun?
01:02Did it look like the old days?
01:03It just looked like, you know, everything was clicking.
01:06You know, they was playing Cogneria football, you know, defense was getting turned over.
01:09The offense was, you know, scoring off some of those.
01:11So, yeah.
01:13It's hard to believe.
01:14I don't know.
01:14It's been since week two that all three of you have been back on the field together.
01:18I know.
01:18It's been a minute, man.
01:19You know, I'm definitely looking forward to it.
01:21It'll be great.
01:22How scary was it?
01:26It was very scary.
01:27You know, any injury is scary for anybody.
01:32You know, thank God that I'm able to play again this weekend and keep playing for the rest of the season.
01:39So, I think all but two of your 100-yard games are in November and December.
01:44And you wouldn't strike me as being a cold-weather player.
01:48You are.
01:49I mean, but, you know, you went to school down south or from the south.
01:52And yet, you have these big games when the weather's the nasty.
01:55And you think it's a great hat sign.
01:58Well, I just try to, you know, try to put my best before, you know, to try to get my team, you know, get a win.
02:06So, that's what I do each and every single week.
02:09You still happen to be that way, you know, with those many yard games.
02:12You know, hopefully people do that.
02:13Is it something about, like, you know, big games?
02:15You know, I guess those things don't.
02:16At the end of the day, I just want to, you know, do my job, get my team, get a win.
02:20Whether it be me getting 100 yards and me getting 30 yards, I just want to do my job at the end of the day.
02:26What were the conversations like about potentially staying, about being ready to come back?
02:30Because of how severe that concussion was.
02:32What happened?
02:32It was just, you know, getting through concussion protocol, seeing how I'm feeling.
02:37Running out, running around, some things like that.
02:40It's basically all just on me.
02:42You know, seeing how I'm feeling and passing those tests.
02:44How did you feel as you went through this week?
02:46What was that like?
02:46It felt amazing.
02:48You know, I felt really good.
