00:02Just, you know, intensity's been high.

00:04You know, just want to come back and, you know, just turn it around.

00:09How tough has it been, you know, especially as a receiver,

00:11offense isn't clicking the way you wanted to over these last couple weeks.

00:14How do you kind of not get discouraged as the offense kind of is trying to find its footing?

00:18Yeah, obviously it's been tough.

00:19Obviously because, you know, I know what we got in the locker room,

00:22what we got on the offensive side of the ball.

00:26I can't really get too discouraged because I know we could change it around.

00:29You know what I mean?

00:30So we just got to go out there and just execute what's the game plan, you know,

00:33get our blocks when we need our blocks, even on run plays,

00:36and make the contested plays as well on the perimeter.

00:40You're going through what you guys are going through as an offense.

00:43How important is it to just get on a few passes early, a few plays early,

00:47to kind of get into a rhythm?

00:49Yeah, man, it's definitely good to get in the rhythm, you know what I mean?

00:51Especially when you got, you know, guys like we got on the perimeter,

00:54you know, get us going early, you know, and the offense probably flow way better,

00:58you know what I mean?

00:58But after the past couple of weeks, does it feel like you and Jamar

01:02almost have to lead the charge as much as possible from a production standpoint

01:07to try to get things turned around?

01:09I mean, just being leaders, you know, on the offense, I feel like, you know,

01:13that's what we want to do, you know what I mean?

01:15Just get the ball in our hands, let us get going,

01:17and then let everybody else, you know, get going as well.

01:20I'm not trying to say, like, let us get going first,

01:22but obviously we want to get going as well early in the game.

01:25So how do you see him kind of grow as a leader this year?

01:28How has he grown, Jamar, grown as a leader this year?

01:32Just being more vocal, you know what I mean?

01:34Not really a vocal guy, you know, but he's been more vocal.

01:36Now he got that C on his chest, so, you know, he's really taking that role in

01:40and being that leader that we need.

01:42Can you tell that means a lot to him, the fact that he got voted captain,

01:44that put him in that role?

01:45Yeah, for sure, for sure.

01:46You can tell his whole demeanor changed this year.

01:48Just being, like I said, more vocal and just, you know,

01:51telling guys what he sees and things like that.

01:54Jake has obviously had big games with you.

01:58Do you tell him anything, and where's your confidence level in him right now?

02:01I just keep telling Jake, be Jake, man.

02:02Just be you.

02:03At the end of the day, you know, we just got to execute as a whole.

02:07You know, we got to complement the defense.

02:08When they get stops, we got to go out there and put points on the board.

02:12How big would it be for you all to go out and just have a good show

02:14and good performance against Detroit?

02:16Obviously, I want to win, but how big would it be to just go out

02:18and play to the level y'all think y'all can?

02:20I mean, it'd be very big, you know.

02:22It gives us confidence.

02:24So, you know, and then hopefully that confidence will roll over to the next game.

02:28So, it'd be very big to go out there and, you know, get on early.

02:34From the outside looking in, people will look at you guys and say,

02:37they have T. Higgins, they have Jamar Chase, they have Mike Isiki,

02:41they have Chase Brown.

02:43Although they lost to Ober, like how has this offense not been able to put up more points?

02:47Do you feel like a sense of urgency this week that obviously these last two weeks

02:51haven't gone your way, but like you guys have the players to score more points than you map?

02:56Yeah, we got the players to do it, but we all got to be, you know, players one.

03:01You know what I mean?

03:01So, we can have individual players that do a lot of great things,

03:05but if we're not playing as one, then it's not going to work.

03:08You know what I mean?

03:08So, we just got to play as one and execute the game plan.

03:11In the offensive meetings of y'all,

03:12has there been something that y'all have been talking about a ton

03:14as a point of emphasis to get ready for this week?

03:17Just talking about their defense, you know, just getting ready, getting prepared,

03:20you know, to execute the game plan that the coach prepared for us.

03:22How hard have the past two weeks been for you?

03:25It's been tough, man.

03:26Obviously, nobody likes losing, especially the way we've been losing.

03:29So, it's been tough.

03:31I'm trying to do everything I can day in, day out to, you know,

03:35to help my teammates get better, help myself get better,

03:37and, you know, just hope for a better outcome this coming Sunday.

03:42One of the big refrains is,

03:43got to be better on third down.

03:45What is it specifically about the third down?

03:47Because the Denver seem like you guys had some flirting shorts.

03:50What's been the disconnect around here?

03:52Man, we just got to, like I said, execute, man.

03:55And it starts, you know, up front.

03:57You know, got to get those blocks.

03:59And then it starts with us as well.

04:01Got to make the catches, even the tough ones.
