00:00But Joe, let's take a look at what happened last night in Motown, Detroit, where I believe the
00:04Temptations were performing at the half to fire up the home crowd, and they did. 44-30 final,
00:09Detroit by two touchdowns. Something gets lost in translation here, because we've got a lot to
00:13talk about this game, and it's going to be, you know, fun to go over. But look at this to me,
00:17Joe. If you kick five field goals in a football game against Detroit, I'm sorry, you're going to
00:23lose that game. Settling for field goals gets you beat all the time. Detroit hung 44 points,
00:28and by the way, Jared Goff, 309. I didn't think he'd go over his number, because I didn't think
00:32Amon Ross St. Brown was going to play. On a high ankle sprain, 6-92. Absolutely tremendous fight
00:39in a game they absolutely needed, and the Dallas Cowboys dropped to 6-6-1. Detroit hangs 44 on that
00:46porous Cowboys defense. Well, I mean, listen, give the Lions credit. The Lions played with a sense of
00:54urgency last night that we have not seen in a long time there, Donnie. I mean, even Amon St.
00:58Brown suiting up for this game, and Dan Campbell said afterwards, said, listen, man, even if we
01:04were trying, you know, to limit him, and he was like, it just wasn't going to happen here, because
01:10nobody limped into this game more than the Lions did. Dallas was rolling and had a lot to be excited
01:18about, but ultimately, dumb penalties, three turns. You can't lose the turnover battle like they did
01:25and expect good things to happen. If you keep giving Detroit short fields, they will make you
01:30pay, and that is ultimately what happened. Dallas, once again, reverted back to, let's shoot ourselves
01:36in the foot, and that's exactly what happened, and Detroit took advantage of it. Yeah, it's crazy that
01:41you look at, too. You had 376 passing yards for the Dallas Cowboys. You had a buck 21 from C.D. Lamb.
01:46Flo Norrie had 115, and then there was George Pickens, five for 37, and a lot of questionable
01:52efforts out there from George Pickens, and this is the first time that we hit that sort of adversity
01:56for Pickens. Everything's been going well, but you know as well as I do, Joe, when you look at his
02:01Pittsburgh days, if he wasn't getting the football or dropping the football early, he wanted nothing to
02:05do with the rest of the football game. Tough loss for them last night, but again, just getting back to
02:09Brian Schottenheimer, kicking five field goals. We know you have a great field goal kicker, but touchdowns are
02:15going to beat Detroit. They don't like to kick a ton of field goals here. They dropped 44 points
02:19on that Dallas defense, who look decent against Kansas City, decent against the Philadelphia
02:23Eagles, and also going up against the Raiders. The bottom just fell out of here. Detroit was ready
02:28to roll, and how about this? Four rushing touchdowns for those Detroit Lions, Joe.
02:32You know, I wonder what the game would have been like if Lamb didn't leave with the concussion
02:39into third, Donnie, because he had already racked up 121 yards, and they had no answer. We might have
02:46had, this game could still be playing and them still scoring on one another had that happened,
02:50but I'll tell you another big issue was the special teams of Dallas was horrific. The starting field
02:56position for Detroit was midfield every time Dallas kicked off to them, Donnie, and again, it makes it a
03:03lot easier if you're at Detroit if I only got to go 50 yards as opposed to 70 or 80 yards.
03:08for a big thing.
