00:00You know, that idea of Dwayne Johnson disappearing into any role,
00:03you kind of think, oh, how can you transform?
00:06But you do.
00:07And what, what, and it's not just the physical thing,
00:10because it's obviously this hair, but other things went on.
00:13It was about 22 prosthetics.
00:15We had Kazuhiroz, our Oscar-winning prosthetic artist,
00:19and he helped me transform.
00:20There was also a vocal transformation, too.
00:22But the idea, I think, of transforming, for me,
00:26was something that, you know, I didn't know that I was,
00:30I didn't know that that was for me.
00:32And I wanted to do that, because a lot of times
00:34in the movies that I've made in the past,
00:36the bigger movies, they're big and they're fun,
00:37and I've liked them from Jumanji to Moana.
00:41And I'll go back to those,
00:43but there was something about this opportunity
00:45where there was a little, there was a voice behind my ribcage
00:48that was just telling me, right?
00:50So, like, it's like, and I'd shared this with Emily for years,
00:54like, it's just, it's gnawing at my gut to do more
00:58and challenge myself and grow and do something
01:01where I'm not chasing box office, but I'm doing it for me.
01:05Yeah.
01:05And it wound up being the most greatest,
01:08most gratifying thing, and I've said this before,
01:11and I mean it, Smash Machine changed my life.
