James Nesbitt has said he is "in awe" of the effort put in by staff at the the Marie Curie Hospice in Belfast.The Ballymena-born actor described the facility as “the most wonderful, really peaceful place” after a visit this week.

00:05Marie Curie believes that everyone should have expert care and support at the end of life,
00:08and here is where they really get it.
00:11I did a big ward tour before when I was here today.
00:14I've met a couple of people in Muriel and Rosemary,
00:17who, you know, have been suffering a great deal.
00:20They're both hopeful of maybe getting home for Christmas,
00:23but in the meantime, not only is their pain really catered for here,
00:30the food that they get, just the support of all the nurses.
00:37It's incredible.
00:38It's the most wonderful, really peaceful place,
00:42and I think that if anyone deserves that, it's these people.
00:45And so my gratitude is to everyone that works here.
