Cabinet minister Alison McGovern says the rules of the Eurovision Song Contest and how it’s operated is for the European Broadcast Union (EBU) to decide, adding that “governments try not to interfere”. It comes as broadcasters from Ireland, Spain, the Netherlands and Slovenia say they will pull out of Eurovision 2026 due to Israel’s participation. Report by Jonesia. 00:15On a general level, I'm not a massive Eurovision nerd myself, but when Eurovision came to Liverpool
00:21it was great fun and everyone really enjoyed themselves.
00:23So I'm sorry that this has happened because we really want Eurovision to be that fun, enjoyable thing for everybody.
