Kinabatangan MP Datuk Seri Bung Moktar Radin, who also served as Sabah Barisan Nasional chairman, passed away at 66 at a private hospital in Kota Kinabalu at 1.46am on Friday (Dec 5).

00:00Kinabatangan MP and Sabah Barisan National Chairman Datuk Siribung Mokhtar Radin
00:08has passed away at the age of 66.
00:12His son, Naeem Kurniawan Mokhtar, confirmed that he breathed his last at 1.46 a.m. on Friday.
00:20Bung Mokhtar, who was also the Lamag Assemblyman,
00:22had been admitted to a private hospital in Kota Kinabalu for severe lung infection.
00:28His condition later worsened after developing kidney complications
00:32before he succumbed to the illness.
00:34His remains were brought to the family home in Luyang
00:37and will be taken to the Sabah State Mosque for funeral prayers.
00:41He will be laid to rest at the Kampung Lika Cemetery after Friday prayers.

01:10He also conveyed condolences on behalf of UMNO and Barisan National to Bung Mokhtar's family.
01:16In the November 29 Sabah State election, Bung Mokhtar retained the Lamag seat with a 153-vote majority
01:25in a six-cornered contest, having also won it in the previous state polls.
01:30He first won the Kinabatangan parliamentary seat in 1999 and went on to serve six terms as MP.
01:37Born on September 15, 1959, in Sukkau Kinabatangan, Bung Mokhtar leaves behind his two wives,
01:45Datin Seri Nur Asida Ali Mudeen and Datin Seri Zizi Izete Abdul Samad, and seven children.
