00:05and Space Force co-creator Greg Daniels shares a heartwarming story about working with the late
00:09Fred Willard on the new show. First, you asked for it, and now it's really happening. The Snyder
00:14Cut is real, and it's being released. After fans petitioned for years to get Warner Brothers to
00:19hashtag Release the Snyder Cut of Justice League, the DC superhero movie that Zack Snyder was forced
00:24to exit due to a family emergency, which was then substantially reshot and retooled by
00:28replacement director Joss Whedon, Zack Snyder just made a bombshell announcement. At the end of an
00:33online screening of his 2013 movie Man of Steel on Wednesday, Snyder confirmed that his version of
00:38Justice League is indeed real, and that it will be coming to the streaming service HBO Max.
00:44It's expected to debut in 2021. Whether Snyder's Justice League take will be released as an almost
00:49four-hour director's cut or split into six chapters has yet to be determined. Snyder tells The Hollywood
00:54Reporter, it will be an entirely new thing, and especially talking to those who have seen the
00:58released movie, a new experience apart from that movie. Next, Ruby Rose has shockingly exited the
01:03title role on the CW's Batwoman after just one season. THR's Neha Joy has more. Although Rose did
01:09not give a specific reason for her departure, both the actress and producers Warner Brothers Television
01:14and Berlanti Productions praised one another in statements announcing her exit from the series.
01:19Batwoman was renewed for a second season in January, and was set to anchor the network's Sunday night,
01:24starting in early 2021. With Rose's departure, the CW series is left without a lead actress.
01:30However, Warner Brothers Television says the role will indeed be recast.
01:33Space Force co-creator Greg Daniels shared a heartwarming story with The Hollywood Reporter
01:37about working with the late Fred Willard on the Netflix series, which marks his first posthumous role.
01:42You know, we had written something very funny for him, I thought, and he did it brilliantly,
01:47and then, you know, he's a legendary improviser. So at the end of it, we said, well, why don't you just do
01:52one where you, you know, just do whatever you want. And he went into this five-minute, incredibly funny
02:00story about crawling under the house, which we used, you know, completely as is in the show.
02:05And when he was done, the crew gave him a standing ovation, which is, you know, I've never seen that
02:10happen before. For more on all these stories, head to THR.com. For The Hollywood Reporter News,
02:15I'm Tiffany Taylor.
