00:00Where's my little rock star?
00:04You look like Ozzy Osbourne.
00:07Where are we yesterday?
00:23It's been eight weeks. It's been eight weeks.
00:25It was a night for me when he last hit a bag.
00:27I was hitting the bag hard, I was hitting the pads hard,
00:30you know, as hard as I could.
00:34I was mainly watching for the hand,
00:36see if he was pulling back with the right hand, but he wasn't.
00:39If the damage was concerning, he'd be feeling that by now.
00:46That's a normal hand, that's my normal look and the way that looks.
00:49Whereas this one's like, you know, you can see it's a bit of a ball-shaped,
00:52like it goes up here.
00:54It's gigantic.
00:55Yeah, it's a big one.
00:56It's a big one.
00:58There's nothing more I can do now.
00:59So you've just got to get on with it.
01:01Yeah, I'd like to get him back in the ring as soon as possible.
01:03Yes, October, November.
01:05So I'm looking for his next fight.
01:08Well, that's enough for one day.
01:09We'll start reaching out, we'll start looking for who's out there
01:11and who wants to fight and then we'll go from there.
01:13I hate mess.
01:14When I was a kid, I used to live like an absolute tramp.
01:25Yeah, my mother was always cleaning the house, always.
01:28There'd be crumbs everywhere, bits of bread on the floor.
01:30And I always used to think, I was like, one day am I ever going to clean up after myself?
01:34And then now, years later, I can't have anything on the floor.
01:37Everything needs to be in the right order, everything needs to be clean.
01:40So, yeah, I understand where she's coming from.
01:47Hello?
01:49She's bit again.
01:50What?
01:51She's bit another child. Again.
01:53Oh, great.
01:55Bambi's obviously two and they call it terrible twos for a reason.
01:58Yeah, but are you sure that she's not being provoked?
02:03It doesn't matter if she's provoked or not.
02:04You don't retaliate with biting a child.
02:07Listen, she's got to stand up for herself.
02:09See, no, I told her to punch, not bite.
02:12But it is what it is, isn't it?
02:15Bambi could legit get away with murder with me.
02:18She could be fully in the wrong and I'd say,
02:20ah, don't worry about it, do you want an ice cream?
02:22No.
02:23It's not like she's 20 years old and going over to someone going,
02:26that would be concerning.
02:28Molly and Tommy will have a different outlook
02:32and different ideas how to bring Bambi up.
02:35I did tell her to box and use her fists and stuff
02:37and I've shown her a few combinations, but she's took to the biting.
02:42But I think it's just what kids do.
02:44Look at him move, look at his legs go.
02:54Tommy, he's the first one of my sons to get involved with a woman from another culture.
03:00In our culture, the traveller way, it's an old way.
03:05It wouldn't be for a lot of people, but it is for us.
03:08That's it, go on, loosen up, that's it, that's it.
03:11Look at that, look.
03:13Look at them moves.
03:14We live and think different to other people.
03:17A lot different.
03:21He knows what he's doing, this lad.
03:23Because even today, in the travelling community,
03:26are classed as outcasts of the world.
03:30Go on.
03:31Yep.
03:32He's a gypsy, don't trust him.
03:34This is my great offspring.
03:38They look like me a bit, don't they?
03:41I've got 20, 21 of them.
03:43And I love every single one of them.
03:45I love every ear in every one of them's head.
03:47And these are all boxers.
03:49He's Boxing Friday.
03:51He's Boxing Friday.
03:52He's Boxing Friday.
03:53Oh, it's Sunday.
03:54Oh, Sunday.
03:55They're intelligent survivors, gypsy people.
03:57When you needed food when we was younger,
04:06you see, we'd have got a couple of them.
04:09Squirrels, head jugs, hares, rabbits, pigeons.
04:15They all made a fine soup.
04:17We'd have got them with a catapult.
04:19I've had them.
04:20The road now, sadly, is becoming a thing of the past.
04:23I come here as a young man, and now I'm an old man.
04:26Do you know how long your granddad's been here?
04:28Godfrey.
04:2933 years.
04:30Well done, Shane.
04:31You knew, didn't you, boy?
04:33But you'll be looking over this fence with your kids.
04:37Yeah.
04:38But it's our job, i.e. Tyson, Tommy, meself,
04:42who's got a voice, to tidy that up
04:45to get people accepted properly.
04:49Right.
04:50I think we'll get some dinner, eh?
04:52Yeah.
04:53And this is what makes Britain great today.
04:55The acceptance of everybody is great.
05:01I'm proud of what I am.
05:03You know, on my dad's side, it's the traveller side,
05:05it's the gypsy side.
05:07But on my mother's side, you know, my grandfather on mother's side
05:10is from Mauritius.
05:11My grandfather came to the UK when he was 21 and proceeded then to work for the NHS for the next 50 years.
05:21He used to send all the money that he worked for home to look after his sisters and his brothers and stuff like that.
05:26My nana was also a nurse as well.
05:28Erm, so I believed he met in hospital.
05:30And then, yeah, the rest was happily ever after.
05:34I haven't talked about her mother because her mother's not in the best of health at the minute.
05:42She has a lot of appointments to go to, so I've given her space from this,
05:45because it is a lot when you're not used to it.
05:47And, erm, you know, that way she can just take her time and if she wants to be in it, she can be,
05:52but I'm not putting any pressure in that because, obviously, her health comes first
05:55and it's important for her to be at these appointments and not miss them, so...
06:00You know, I arranged to take her to the Ivy in Manchester for a bit of food.
06:03An appointment came up, erm, that she had to go to and she couldn't miss,
06:07so we had to reschedule that.
06:09What are you up to?
06:12I'm eating porridge, Colony.
06:14When she speaks, it's kind of weak and you can't really hear her sometimes
06:17and it's very croaky.
06:18What time's your appointment today, then?
06:20You said, erm, two.
06:22I believe, you know, some of her vocal cords are paralysed.
06:26The doctors are still going through it and trying to get to the bottom of it,
06:29but, yeah, it's definitely not ideal.
06:31What other day this week can you do?
06:35Friday, I think.
06:36I'll put the table now, then, and then I'll, erm,
06:39I'll come pick you up about half-twelve on Friday.
06:41All right, then.
06:42All right, love you. Bye-bye.
06:45It is sad, and you do get down about it.
06:48You know, it's not going to solve it.
06:50Like, if I...
06:51Ugh.
06:52Like, I just got down in myself now and down tools and everything
06:54and fucking went to the pub and whatever and did all that sort of shit,
06:57where's that going to get me?
06:59The world's a very, very cruel place.
07:05There's people out there dying.
07:07You know, people out there laid in hospital bed in far worse positions.
07:13I'm so lucky to be blessed and live the life that I do.
07:16So, I think it's very important to maybe give back a little bit.
07:19That looks really cool, doesn't it?
07:21So, Razor Sunshine is an organisation that grants little children's wishes.
07:26And, er, they reached out to me to see if I could grant a wish.
07:29And, er, of course, didn't even need to think about it.
07:31You okay?
07:33How is everything? You okay?
07:36Yeah.
07:37Little Tommy, who's also into his boxing, would love to meet Big Tommy at the gym
07:42and watch him do a little bit of training.
07:44I can't believe that I get asked to do that
07:46because there's a million better people to meet than me.
07:49I heard you like boxing.
07:51Do you?
07:52Do you do a lot of boxing?
07:53Yeah.
07:54Little Tommy's out of treatment and he's now remissioned,
07:57which is amazing news.
07:58Do you want to hit the bag?
08:00Yeah.
08:01He's not too much older than Bambi and it's just the thought of that.
08:04It's crushing, it really is.
08:06So this is the bag that I always use, this one here.
08:08Do you want to show me what you can do then?
08:10Oh, hey, he's shaping up.
08:13Nice.
08:14He is exceptional, honestly.
08:16Can you do ten punches straight like that?
08:20One big one.
08:22Ooh, there you go.
08:23There you go.
08:24That's a very good round.
08:26Frisky sure old kid.
08:28Guy's got some power as well.
08:30And again.
08:31Good.
08:32Telling you, he's champion in the making, mate.
08:34Just keep putting him in the gym.
08:37Yay.
08:38He's a very tough little boy.
08:40We've come a long way and the support and love that we had was amazing.
08:44And this is just like top tier for Tommy.
08:47I gave him some gloves, so I think he was pretty happy.
08:50Thank you guys for coming down, honestly.
08:52What did you say?
08:53What did you say, Tommy?
08:54You're welcome any time.
08:55Aww.
08:56Give him a big cuddle.
08:57Give him a big cuddle.
08:58Nelly.
08:59Keep going to the boxing gym because you're very, very good.
09:02Lovely.
09:03Perfect.
09:04Thanks.
09:05Days like today with little Tommy really makes you realise how precious time with your own
09:09loved ones really is.
09:11Coming home to Bambi is obviously the best thing in the world.
09:19Bambi comes first and foremost.
09:22Whatever's in my life.
09:23Are you ready?
09:25Ready?
09:27That child will always be number one priority.
09:31And hit him again.
09:34Hit him again?
09:36You can definitely tell she's got the fury in her.
09:39Her energy, like, she's just cute.
09:41She is.
09:42All I said is from a squeezer.
09:47Sometimes too tight.
09:48I can't help it.
09:49Because you can't do it in the 20 and the 15.
09:51It's snow, Dad.
09:52I'm going out.
09:53Well, it won't be.
09:54Ready?
09:55Nearly.
09:56Nearly?
09:57Not Wimbledon, but it's in the process.
09:58She's just special.
09:59She really is.
10:00And everybody that meets her says the same thing.
10:02Whoa!
10:03Well done, baby.
10:04Let's go and get a snack.
10:05I'll raise you.
10:06I'm a hustler, baby.
10:07That's what my dad's made.
10:08Tommy's been out the ring for a long time now.
10:10What you need to do is get with it and realise that you're going to be the best.
10:13I'm a hustler, baby.
10:15That's what my dad's made.
10:17Tommy's been out the ring for a long time now.
10:22What you need to do is get with it and realise where you're at.
10:25And get your mind into fighting again.
10:28And that's the thing we need to get back here, really.
10:30And what you need to do is look for dance partners.
10:33These dates, when are they?
10:36But, you know, they price yourself out of the job, don't they?
10:38Not fair with the money.
10:39They're talking numbers, but not the numbers I'm interested in.
10:42Yeah.
10:43Tommy's the man to beat out there now, because he's beaten them all, hasn't he?
10:46So, at the end of the day, it's got to be worth Tommy's while, hasn't it?
10:49Alright, buddy.
10:50Good luck, mate.
10:51Thanks a lot for that.
10:52Bye-bye.
10:53Meanwhile, he should make the most of family time.
11:00Because when he's in fight camp, he ain't seen nobody for eight weeks.
11:03No kids, no women, no nothing.
11:07Whatever I earn through boxing and through social media,
11:10it's got to go on something to benefit Bambi.
11:14This is a good van, though, isn't it, what they've done here?
11:16I'm pretty sure I've looked at a camper van when I've been younger
11:18and thought, if I win the lottery, I'll go and get one of them, definitely.
11:21Bedroom, kitchen.
11:23I want my money to be spent on memories, rather than materialistic stuff.
11:27You don't want a monstrosity, you know?
11:29There's a sense of freedom, and we are travellers.
11:31We're born of the road.
11:33That would have been good, but the bed's too high for his missus.
11:36And when you've got wheels that can go anywhere,
11:38it's like a comfort, knowing it's there.
11:40Shower and toilet in there.
11:41What's it like with a door shut?
11:43No, it's all right.
11:44Microwave cooker.
11:45Hey, good, Big Ben.
11:46I'm selling my house.
11:48Do you like it, then?
11:49Like it, yeah.
11:50Shall we try and buy it?
11:51Worry you to buy, not to tire kick.
11:53Do you want to do a deal with you today?
11:55Do you want to do a deal today?
11:56We always do a deal.
11:57There you are, then.
11:58It's good to have my dad there, because he's always looking out for me.
12:01Come and have a seat.
12:02Come and have a seat.
12:03Let's talk some turkey, eh?
12:05It's my job to get something as cheap as I possibly can.
12:08So, erm, total on the road, 96,949.
12:13We'll knock you £3,949 off it.
12:17So I'll give you it for 93, dead.
12:20That was born on the road, so that makes you down 9-1 before kick-off.
12:24So you've got to use what other people haven't got.
12:27And I learnt on the road to bargain with everybody.
12:3185 grand pay you now.
12:33I can't do that.
12:34That's like giving away the whole war chest, isn't it?
12:37And more.
12:38Come on.
12:39Let's get a deal going here.
12:40Come on, you know what you're doing like I do.
12:42I just sat right back.
12:47I didn't know where to look.
12:48John's bid me 85, and I said, that's just not that.
12:51He's bid you 85.
12:52I ain't got 85 pounds.
12:54He's bid you 85, not me.
12:56I haven't got two bucks.
12:57Sorry, sorry.
12:58Give you 87 grand for that, we'll do a deal with you now.
13:00I might need one of these heartburn tablets.
13:02Heartburn tablets?
13:05Is it that stressful selling them a camper?
13:07I'd get another job.
13:08It's not worth dying over.
13:09I bought a pair of boots off one fella.
13:12Well, I'll tell you what I'll do.
13:13I will give you 25 quid of my shoes for your shoes.
13:17Done.
13:18£25 swap shoes over.
13:20I've got his boots, he's got my shoes.
13:22I've walked out and he broke my nose on a lamppost.
13:24I was admiring the boots looked up and crashed into a lamppost.
13:28It was going to be 96, 949.
13:3190 dead.
13:33That was with everything.
13:35That there seems very fair to me.
13:37Yeah?
13:38It does.
13:39Giving you 6,949 off it.
13:41So, near enough seven grand.
13:43I'll take it then.
13:44Shake the man's hand then.
13:46Done.
13:47All right.
13:48What you've just seen there is exactly the same in the boxing negotiations.
13:52Hey, you know why I get the right fees.
13:55He can take his little daughter, his self, his missus and relax in that camperman and enjoy it.
14:01Roll on summer.
14:02Quite literally.
14:03You should always make your bed, shouldn't you?
14:04Because it's just not nice to get into a scruffy bed.
14:18I wanted to take my mum out somewhere nice.
14:19You know, she doesn't get out an awful lot.
14:21And I thought, if I'm taking her for lunch, I'm going to take her to the best place that I can find.
14:26There we go.
14:27Oh.
14:28It's nice, isn't it?
14:29Yeah, it is.
14:30Very breezy.
14:31Do you know what?
14:32I really fancy that, Tom.
14:33What?
14:34The lobster linguine.
14:35You want any sushi?
14:36I like sushi, but I love lobster.
14:37Get that, then.
14:38When I go to a restaurant, I just get that hungry.
14:40And the last thing that I want to do is I want to go into a place and pay for a meal and walk out starving still.
14:56Can I get a portion of the Wagyu short beef croquets?
14:57A chicken Caesar salad?
14:58British Wagyu flash steak as well.
14:59Can I get a popcorn sauce with that?
15:00Absolutely.
15:01Sweet potato fries on the side, please.
15:02I've ordered some of those.
15:03I need my own.
15:04Tommy, don't come on.
15:05You're going to mess your bowels up.
15:06My bowels are working perfectly.
15:07I know very well about that.
15:08Just whenever anything's ready, just bring it out.
15:09I'm absolutely ravenous.
15:10When are you not?
15:11Huxley Piglet.
15:12Cheers, Mum.
15:13Cheers, babe.
15:14How's things going with Molly?
15:15Good.
15:16Everything's good.
15:17Good.
15:18What's my little girl doing?
15:19That's a good picture, that, isn't it?
15:20I'm going to frame that.
15:21My chin and my teeth used to do that, didn't they?
15:22Yes, and you used to do that with your hair.
15:23I'm going to do that.
15:24I'm going to do that.
15:25I'm going to do that.
15:26I'm going to do that.
15:27Just whenever anything's ready, just bring it out.
15:28I'm absolutely ravenous.
15:29When are you not?
15:30Huxley Piglet.
15:31Cheers, Mum.
15:32Cheers, babe.
15:33How's things going with Molly?
15:34Good.
15:35Everything's good.
15:36Good.
15:37What's my little girl doing?
15:40That's a good picture, that, isn't it?
15:43Oh, I'm going to frame that.
15:45My chin and my teeth used to do that, didn't they?
15:47Yes, and you used to do that with your eyes.
15:49Yeah.
15:50You're a good dad, Tommy.
15:51Oh.
15:52You're a very good dad.
15:53Right from the start.
15:54Hands on.
15:55And she adores you.
15:57It's a big thing to prove to your mother.
15:58Like, yeah, I'm a good father.
16:00Hearing it from my mother, it does make me feel really good.
16:02Excuse me.
16:03I've got your food for you.
16:04Thank you very much.
16:05Yeah, yeah.
16:06Oh.
16:07Wasp on some.
16:08Oh, don't stink, mate.
16:11It's going to get me.
16:14To be quite honest with you, if ours would be,
16:16or a wasp, I'm trying to get in the meal as well.
16:21I'm having a full-scale fight with a wasp.
16:24Has a wasp put me out of your food?
16:26No.
16:27I thought no.
16:28Two o'clock in the morning, two nights ago, I'm in bed.
16:31Molly's at the side of me, and all of a sudden,
16:33I felt like crawling on my arm like a sensation.
16:36They're frightened of spiders.
16:38And I've looked down at my hand, and it's crawling up my arm.
16:41I'm like that.
16:42Did you scream?
16:43Oh, I screamed at two o'clock in the morning.
16:44She nearly had a heart attack.
16:45She fell out of bed.
16:46And I give it the roughest death possible.
16:48No!
16:49You can't kill spiders.
16:51Oh, I squashed it.
16:52And even when it was dead, I stamped all over it.
16:54You stamped on it?
16:55But I'm not a lover of spiders.
16:56You stamped on it?
16:57To death.
16:58Yes.
16:59Don't talk to me.
17:01If I'm not lifting the entire gym later, there's a problem.
17:04Are you back in training now?
17:06I'm going to training now.
17:07But...
17:08No, I mean, you've not got a boxing match.
17:10No, I ain't got a fight coming up.
17:11But I'm trying to get one before the end of the year, but...
17:13I've got to say, I'm not sad to it that you haven't got a fight,
17:18because it's stressful.
17:21I don't even watch it on the TV.
17:23I never understood that until I had Bambi.
17:25It's not good, bub.
17:27No.
17:28Pays the bills, won't it?
17:29All finished?
17:30Delicious, thank you.
17:31Fantastic.
17:33Well, thank you, mother, for an amazing lunch.
17:35Give me a kiss.
17:37Clean up.
17:40Thank you, mother.
17:53So, today is the big day.
17:54We're about to go and pick up my camper van.
17:57I can't wait to go with him.
17:59Just to check the response out.
18:01Because he's like a kid with a new toy.
18:06A lot of money for what they are, but listen.
18:08Can't buy memories, can you?
18:15How's it going, buddy?
18:16Okay?
18:17Good to see you, mate.
18:18Very excited.
18:19Can't come quick enough, to be honest.
18:21Beautiful.
18:22Already come off the mold, as they say.
18:25Molly, at first, wasn't really keen on the idea, but I showed her it and she pretty much fell in love with it.
18:32I know, literally, I'm in a minute now.
18:35We've named it Princess Jasmine, from Aladdin.
18:38A princess that Bambi loves.
18:39All the cushions are laid out, everything like that.
18:42Well, yeah.
18:43Very happy.
18:44I'm just learning how to use everything now.
18:46I'm now a motorhome owner.
18:48Well, now, yeah.
18:49Officially.
18:51Thank you very much.
18:52And God bless.
18:53Good luck, Mark, and thanks for everything, pal.
18:54Thanks, John.
18:55Been a pleasure.
18:56I know you beat me up a bit, but I'm all right with it.
18:58Pleasure doing business with you.
19:00Oh!
19:02Thanks again, everybody.
19:05How's the switch on this?
19:07Right.
19:08Laters.
19:11In drive, away you go.
19:12Keep looking through your mirrors and give yourself plenty of time.
19:16He's a very nervous passenger, my dad.
19:18When he's not driving the car, he's pretty shaky.
19:20Right, watch, watch, watch.
19:22You're very cold.
19:23You're panicky.
19:24Oh, listen.
19:25You need to relax.
19:29We got that power!
19:32It looks bigger when it's on the drive, don't it?
19:34When Bambi first saw the camper, she loved it.
19:37Are you excited?
19:38Yeah.
19:39She wanted to go on it straight away.
19:40Where are we going?
19:41Going tumble tats.
19:43Tumble tats?
19:44Yeah!
19:45OK, you take us to tumble tats.
19:47I think we was in there for the whole afternoon and most of the night.
19:51I want to sleep in here tonight.
19:54You want to sleep in here tonight?
19:56Yeah!
19:57She absolutely loves it.
19:58She calls it her camper.
19:59Yeah.
20:00Let me take a picture of you for mummy.
20:02And that's all I want.
20:04It's a big cheese.
20:05Big smile.
20:08Do you like it?
20:09Yeah.
20:10I've got to cut my dad some breakfast.
20:12Bananas, blueberries, honey, protein powder.
20:13Slap him a bit of dark chocolate in for his health issues.
20:15My dad recently went through a bit of a health scare.
20:18You know, his blood pressure was severely high.
20:20Stress is a massive killer.
20:21Death, with me, is a very, very unknown, frightening thing.
20:22And the older you get, all you seem to think about is dying.
20:24I'm 60 years old, I'm on borrowed time.
20:25And, you know, us furies don't live long at all.
20:27All my brothers are dead, 50, 53.
20:28My father was dead five years on from where I live.
20:29My dad recently went through a bit of a health scare.
20:31You know, his blood pressure was severely high.
20:33Stress is a massive killer.
20:35Death, with me, is a very, very unknown, frightening thing.
20:41And the older you get, all you seem to think about is dying.
20:44I'm 60 years old, I'm on borrowed time.
20:48And, you know, us furies don't live long at all.
20:51All my brothers are dead, 50, 53.
20:55My father was dead five years on from where I am now.
20:58Now, every time I shut my eyes, I'm thinking, you know what,
21:02it might be my last night, this.
21:04And I shouldn't be thinking like that, should I?
21:06I'm not done yet, and I say to God every day,
21:08give me a few more years.
21:10You know, he's tried to drop a bit of weight.
21:12He's tried to eat the right foods.
21:14I could have just given my dad a piece of toast this morning.
21:16There's your breakfast.
21:17But I went above and beyond because I just wanted to make sure
21:20that he felt looked after.
21:22How you doing, champ?
21:26What do you think about the stuff that's going on now, sir?
21:29Yes, the renovations are still going ahead,
21:31and yes, the house is filled with builders,
21:33so we can't really have Molly and Bambi back yet.
21:36How long has been going on all this renovation now, though?
21:39Months, isn't it?
21:4125, 30 years off your life expectancy
21:44for the stress levels of all of this.
21:47Is it worth it?
21:49I've come to my age now,
21:50and I've realised that I've worked too hard in my life.
21:53Probably.
21:54I couldn't deal with this, Mick,
21:55so I'd crack up and burn it down.
21:57I'd throw a gallon of petrol in it.
21:59It's extravagance,
22:00and I don't do extravagance in any way, shape or form.
22:03It's a five-minute walk from there to the back door.
22:06Don't forget, it's not just going to be in here, is it?
22:09Bambi's here.
22:11Have you seen the bedroom?
22:12There's the little baby laid in the bedroom.
22:14There's as big as that pot bottle in the little cot.
22:16My God.
22:17It's a wonder if she gets warm, innit?
22:19He's got a kitchen like the cockpit of a spaceship.
22:21I can't have a cup of coffee, Dex.
22:23Can't work the tap.
22:24You've got to hold it.
22:25You've got to twist it.
22:27Switch the frigging switch and let the kettle boil.
22:30I checked the rankings of the day on BoxRec.
22:32I'm number eight in the country.
22:34So what's the plan going forward, then?
22:36There's rumours and chat of big contests, massive contests.
22:43But the thing is, it will just take our time still.
22:47Do the job properly.
22:49Not be in a rush.
22:51It's quite easy to lose your concentration
22:53and, you know, lose all your focus when you've not got a date
22:56because it's just tough.
22:58You know, you're working towards nothing.
23:01But I've got to keep myself fit
23:02and I've got to keep myself in that mind frame of keeping in shape.
23:06I'm thinking about doing this thing at the end of the month.
23:09What thing?
23:10It's like a triathlon.
23:12A 2km swim.
23:1380km on a bike, which is 50 miles.
23:15Not too bad.
23:16And then an 18km run, which is 10-mile run.
23:19It's a lot, that.
23:21Why would you want to put your body through that kind of stress?
23:25To get a medal hung round your neck was probably worth 50p
23:29and you nearly killed yourself to do it.
23:31I train all the time like a lunatic,
23:33so I might as well, you know, do some competitions.
23:37It's good to say you've done it, isn't it?
23:38You come off that bike.
23:39You're finished.
23:40The last time I seen him on a bicycle was about 16.
23:43So what are you doing this weekend?
23:45I'm on an old steam rally out here, aren't I, at Shelford?
23:48I'll come tomorrow night.
23:49I'll get my training done in the day
23:50and then about 4 o'clock I'll come on.
23:52Yeah.
23:53And then I'll be there that night
23:55and then Saturday morning
23:57we can have a look round everything, can't we?
23:59Hobbs are off.
24:03Don't want any explosions.
24:06I'll take a jacket just in case it gets a little bit chilly.
24:12All right, let's roll.
24:15Next stop, Assal Park.
24:21The steam rally is in a massive field and everyone pulls on there
24:25with their classic antique car or caravan trailer, wagon.
24:29I've been going to the steam rally now, Assal Park, for at least 20 to 25 years.
24:35At my age now, there's no better living for me than this.
24:40I don't want to go abroad, I don't want the French Riviera, I don't want Spain.
24:44Right, there's my dad's car there.
24:47He rocks up in the brand new thing.
24:49Whoa, that'll do you there?
24:51He's stuck out like a sore thumb, but he just come to enjoy the weekend with me,
24:55which is quite good of him.
24:57My camper van and my dad's wagons are two worlds apart.
25:01I've kind of gone down the more luxury route,
25:03but to be honest, I've only done that so I can get Molly in there.
25:07Even the chairs are brand new.
25:10But yeah, my dad's a bit more rough and ready
25:12and he likes the old vintage stuff, which I completely get.
25:15My mother was born in a wagon.
25:17My father was.
25:18My mother travelled up and down all her life.
25:20I just want to feel free for what remainder I've got left on Earth
25:23and it soon passes.
25:25I don't want all these mud gardens, I don't need them.
25:27This makes me happy.
25:29Filling that coal fire there, look.
25:31Cooking a pot on there.
25:33Tradition beats it all, doesn't it?
25:37It means an awful lot to me to be by my dad's side during these things
25:40because sometimes it just goes alone.
25:44And at the end of the day, I'm just thankful that I've got time on my hands
25:46that I can go and I can be with him for a weekend
25:48and have a bit of a laugh and we can forget about the world for a day or two.
25:52My favourite thing about that weekend was probably the ride, to be honest.
25:57I am not going on that ever.
25:59Come on.
26:00You don't risk your life for nothing.
26:02Yeah, but look there, you're getting off.
26:03Fine.
26:04Look, if that machine, anything happens to that, you're gone, aren't you?
26:08You're wrong.
26:09One time.
26:10Come on.
26:11You want to learn it?
26:12Go on, then.
26:13It's called coercion, isn't it?
26:17I got talked into it.
26:19My dad won't die with you at 60, so he won't die.
26:22Next thing, I'm in there bolted in, aren't I?
26:25Dad, this is a bad ride, you know.
26:28I've not been on a ride with my dad since probably about eight years old.
26:32Extra fast.
26:33Woo!
26:36To go on a ride again, it makes you feel like you're a bit of a kid again.
26:39And I'm hoping my dad had that feeling because it'd be a nice one.
26:45Look here now, look here.
26:48It knocked me sick, and every time it went thrown us to the left,
26:51a thrown us to the right, it was like my whole stomach was coming up in the mouth.
26:57Slow down!
26:58I just stepped before that as well.
27:01I thought it was going to throw up all over everybody, to be honest with you.
27:04Slow down!
27:07Well, I looked around and thought, I've not got any brown trousers on,
27:09which is a sad case.
27:11Slow down!
27:15My God, man.
27:16Today's been absolutely amazing, but I just want the sunlight to die down,
27:30so I can dive in the camper and get some sleep.
27:32We've had a great night, had some food.
27:36Now ready to hit the hay.
27:38Take it easy and God bless.
27:44Fun's over, but now we're concentrating on one thing,
27:46and that's his 100km triathlon.
27:48This will be, to date, the biggest challenge that he's done outside of boxing.
27:52I'm going to be swimming right in the middle of the ocean,
27:54and I'm not a very strong swimmer.
27:56I'm going to be getting on the bike.
27:57I'm not a very strong biker.
27:59Have a good look to him.
28:01All you can do, keep your fingers crossed and hope everything goes well.
28:05Don't get showing off.
28:07I am going to die in this sea.
28:09That's how I feel my legs.
28:11I thought I was going to pass out.
28:12I'm mentally drained as much as I am physically,
28:16so it's definitely been a tough month.
28:19Yeah, just bullshit.
28:42.
28:49All right.
28:50Okay.
