00:00Where's my little rock star?
00:09You look like Ozzy Osbourne.
00:12Where are we yesterday?
00:14It's been eight weeks. It's been eight weeks.
00:30It was the night for me when he last hit a bag.
00:34I was hitting the bag hard. I was hitting the pads hard.
00:36You know, as hard as I could.
00:39I was mainly watching for the hand.
00:42See if he was pulling back with the right hand, but he wasn't.
00:45If the damage was concerning, he'd be feeling that by now.
00:51That's a normal hand. That's my normal look on the way that looks.
00:54Whereas this one's like, you know, you can see it's a bit of a ball shape,
00:58like it goes up here. Gigantic.
01:00Yeah, it's a big one.
01:02There's nothing more I can do now, so you've just got to get on with it.
01:06Yeah, I'd like to get him back in the ring as soon as possible.
01:08Yes, October, November.
01:10So I'm looking for his next fight.
01:13Well, that's enough for one day.
01:14We'll start reaching out.
01:15We'll start looking for who's out there and he wants to fight,
01:17and then we'll go from there.
01:19I hate mess.
01:25When I was a kid, I used to live like an absolute tramp.
01:29Yeah, my mother was always cleaning the house, always.
01:32There'd be crumbs everywhere, bits of bread on the floor.
01:35And I always used to think, I was like,
01:36one day am I ever going to clean up after myself?
01:38And then now, years later, I can't have anything on the floor.
01:42Like, everything needs to be in the right order,
01:44everything needs to be clean.
01:45So, yeah, I understand where she's coming from.
01:47PHONE RINGS
01:51Hello?
01:52PHONE RINGS
01:54She's bit again.
01:55What?
01:56She's bit another child.
01:57Again.
01:58Oh, great.
01:59Bambi's obviously two, and they call it terrible two's for a reason.
02:03Yeah, but are you sure she's not being provoked?
02:06It doesn't matter if she's provoked or not.
02:09You don't retaliate with biting a child.
02:12Listen, she's got to stand up for herself.
02:14You see, no, I told her to punch, not bite.
02:17But it is what it is, isn't it?
02:20Bambi could legit get away with murder with me.
02:23She could be fully in the wrong and I'd say,
02:25don't worry about it, do you want an ice cream?
02:27No.
02:28It's not like she's 20 years old and going over to someone going,
02:31that would be concerning.
02:33Molly and Tommy will have a different outlook
02:37and different ideas how to bring Bambi up.
02:40I did tell her to box and use her fists and stuff,
02:42and I've shown her a few combinations,
02:44but she's tucked to the biting.
02:47But I think it's just what kids do.
02:57Look at him move, look at his legs go.
02:59Tommy, he's the first one of my sons to get involved with a woman
03:03from another culture.
03:06In our culture, the travel away, it's an old way.
03:10It wouldn't be for a lot of people, but it is for us.
03:13That's it, go on, loosen up, that's it, that's it.
03:16Look at that, look.
03:17Look at them moves.
03:19We live and think different to other people.
03:22A lot different.
03:26He knows what he's doing, this lad.
03:28Cos even today, in the travelling community,
03:31I classed as outcasts of the world.
03:35Go on.
03:36Yep.
03:37He's a gypsy, don't trust him.
03:39This is me, er, me great offspring.
03:43They look like me a bit, don't they?
03:47I've got 20, 21 of them, and I love every single one of them.
03:50I love every hair and every one of them's head.
03:53And these are all boxers.
03:54He's Boxing Friday.
03:56He's Boxing Friday.
03:57No, it's Sunday.
03:58Oh, Sunday.
03:59They're intelligent survivors, gypsy people.
04:02When you needed food when we was younger,
04:10you see, we'd have got a couple of them.
04:13Squirrels, head jugs, hares, rabbits, pigeons,
04:19they all made a fine soup.
04:21We'd have got them with a catapult.
04:23I'd have had them.
04:25The road now, sadly, is becoming a thing of the past.
04:28I come here as a young man, and now I'm an old man.
04:31Do you know how long your granddad's been here?
04:33Good for.
04:3433 years.
04:35Well done, Shane.
04:36You knew, didn't you, boy?
04:37But you'll be looking over this fence with your kids.
04:42Yeah.
04:43But it's our job, i.e. Tyson, Tommy, myself,
04:47who's got a voice, to tidy that up
04:50to get people accepted properly.
04:54Right.
04:55I think we'll get some dinner, eh?
04:57Yeah.
04:58And this is what makes Britain great today.
05:00The acceptance of everybody is great.
05:06I'm proud of what I am.
05:08You know, on my dad's side, it's the traveller side,
05:10it's the gypsy side, but on my mother's side,
05:13you know, my grandfather on mother's side's from Mauritius.
05:16My grandfather came to the UK when he was 21 and proceeded then to work for the NHS for the next 50 years.
05:26He used to send all the money that he worked for home to look after his sisters and his brothers and stuff like that.
05:31My nana was also a nurse as well.
05:33Erm, so I believed he met in hospital.
05:35And then, yeah, the rest was happily ever after.
05:39I haven't talked about her mother because her mother's not in the best of health at the minute.
05:47She has a lot of appointments to go to, so I've given her space from this,
05:50because it is a lot when you're not used to it.
05:52And, erm, you know, that way she can just take her time and if she wants to be in it, she can be,
05:57but I'm not putting any pressure in that because obviously her health comes first
06:00and it's important for her to be at these appointments and not miss them, so...
06:05You know, I arranged to take her to the Ivy in Manchester for a bit of food.
06:08An appointment came up, erm, that she had to go to and she couldn't miss,
06:12so we had to reschedule that.
06:14What are you up to?
06:17I'm eating porridge, Courtney.
06:19When she speaks, it's kind of weak and you can't really hear her sometimes
06:22and it's very croaky.
06:23What time's your appointment today, then?
06:25You said, erm, two.
06:27I believe, you know, some of her vocal cords are paralysed.
06:31The doctors are still going through it and trying to get to the bottom of it,
06:34but, yeah, it's definitely not ideal.
06:36What other day this week can you do?
06:40Friday, I think.
06:41I'll put the table now, then, and I'll come pick you up about half-twelve on Friday.
06:46All right, then.
06:47All right, love you. Bye-bye.
06:50It is sad, and you do get down about it.
06:53You know, it's not going to solve it.
06:55Like, if I, oh, I just got down on myself now and downed tools on everything
06:59and fucking went to the pub and whatever and did all that sort of shit,
07:02where's that going to get me?
07:06The world's a very, very cruel place.
07:10There's people out there dying, you know, people out there laid in hospital bed
07:13in far worse positions.
07:17I'm so lucky to be blessed and live the life that I do.
07:20So I think it's very important to maybe give back a little bit.
07:24That looks really cool, doesn't it?
07:26So Raise the Sunshine is an organisation that grants little children's wishes,
07:30and, er, they reached out to me to see if I could grant a wish
07:33and, er, of course, didn't even need to think about it.
07:37You OK?
07:39How is everything? You OK?
07:41Yeah.
07:42Little Tommy, who's also into his boxing, would love to meet Big Tommy
07:45at the gym and watch him do a little bit of training.
07:49I can't believe that I get asked to do that
07:50because there's a million better people to meet than me.
07:53I heard you like boxing. Do you? Do you do a lot of boxing?
07:58Yeah.
07:59Little Tommy's out of treatment
08:00and he's now remissioned, which is amazing news.
08:03Do you want to hit the bag?
08:04Yeah.
08:06He's not too much older than Bambi
08:07and it's just the thought of that, it's just...
08:09It's crushing, it really is.
08:11So this is the bag that I always use, this one here.
08:13Do you want to show me what you can do, then?
08:15Oh, hey, he's shaping up.
08:18Nice!
08:19He is exceptional, honestly.
08:21Can you do ten punches straight like that?
08:25One big one.
08:27Ooh, there you go.
08:28There you go.
08:29That's a very good round.
08:31Frisky sure old kid.
08:33Guy's got some power as well.
08:34And again.
08:36Good.
08:37Telling you, he's champion in the making, mate.
08:38I'm honestly...
08:40Just keep putting him in the gym.
08:42Yay!
08:44He's a very tough little boy.
08:45We've come a long way
08:46and the support and love that we had was amazing.
08:49And this is just, like, top tier for Tommy.
08:53I give him some gloves, so I think he's pretty happy.
08:56Thank you guys for coming down, honestly.
08:57What'd you say?
08:58What'd you say, Tommy?
08:59You're welcome any time.
09:00Aww!
09:02Give him a big cuddle.
09:04Keep going to the boxing gym, because you're very, very good.
09:07Lovely.
09:09Perfect.
09:10The fight today with little Tommy really makes you realise
09:12how precious time
09:13with your own loved ones really is.
09:17Coming home to Bambi is obviously the best thing in the world.
09:24Bambi comes first and foremost.
09:26Whatever's in my life.
09:28Are you ready?
09:30Ready?
09:32That child will always be number one priority.
09:38And hit him again.
09:40Hit him again?
09:42You can definitely tell she's got the fury in her.
09:44Her energy, like, she's just cute.
09:47She is.
09:48All I said is from a squeezer.
09:52Sometimes too tight.
09:53But I can't help it.
09:54Because you can't do it in the 20 and the 15.
09:56It's no dad.
09:57I'm going out.
09:58Well, it won't be.
10:00Ready?
10:03Nearly.
10:04Nearly?
10:05Not Wimbledon, but it's in the process.
10:07She's just special.
10:08She really is.
10:09And everybody that meets her says the same thing.
10:12Whoa!
10:13Well done, baby.
10:15Let's go and get a snack.
10:16I'll race you.
10:18I'm a hustler, baby.
10:21That's my dad's, baby.
10:26Tommy's been out the ring for a long time now.
10:28What you need to do is get with it and realise where you're at.
10:31And get your mind into fighting again.
10:34And that's the thing we need to get back here, really.
10:36And what you need to do is look for dance partners.
10:39These date to another.
10:41But, you know, they price yourself out the job, don't they?
10:43Not fair with the money.
10:44They're talking numbers, but not the numbers I'm interested in.
10:46Yeah.
10:48Tommy's the man to beat out there now, because he's beaten them all, hasn't he?
10:51So, at the end of the day, it's got to be worth Tommy's while, hasn't it?
10:55All right, buddy. Good luck, mate.
10:56Thanks a lot for that. Bye-bye.
10:58Bye-bye, bye-bye.
11:03Meanwhile, he should make the most of family time,
11:06because when he's in fight camp, he ain't seen nobody for eight weeks.
11:09No kids, no women, no nothing.
11:11Whatever I earn through boxing and through social media,
11:15it's got to go on something to benefit Bambi.
11:19This is a good van, though, isn't it, what they've done here?
11:21I'm pretty sure I've looked at a camper van when I've been younger and thought,
11:24if I win the lottery, I'll go and get one of them, definitely.
11:27Bedroom, kitchen.
11:28I want my money to be spent on memories rather than materialistic stuff.
11:32You don't want a monstrosity, you know.
11:35They're a sense of freedom, and we are travellers.
11:37We're born of the road.
11:38That would have been good, but the bed's too high for his missus.
11:41And when you've got wheels that can go anywhere, it's like a comfort, knowing it's there.
11:45Shower and toilet in there.
11:47What's it like with a door shut?
11:49No, it's all right. I go out of cooker.
11:51Hey, good big bed. I'm selling me house.
11:54Do you like it, then?
11:55Like it, yeah.
11:56Shall we try and buy it?
11:57We're here to buy, not to tire kick.
11:59Do you want to do a deal with you today?
12:00Do you want to do a deal today?
12:01We always do a deal.
12:02There you are, then.
12:04It's good to have my dad there, because he's always looking out for me.
12:06Come and have a seat.
12:07Come and have a seat.
12:08Let's talk some turkey, eh?
12:10It's my job to get something as cheap as I possibly can.
12:14So, total on the road, 96,949.
12:19We'll knock you £3,949 off it, so I'll give you it for 93, Dad.
12:25I was born on the road, so that makes you down 9-1 before kick-off.
12:30So you've got to use what other people haven't got.
12:33And I learnt on the road to bargain with everybody.
12:3785 grand pay you now.
12:38I can't do that.
12:39That's like giving away the whole war chest, isn't it?
12:42And more.
12:43Come on.
12:44Let's get a deal going here.
12:45Come on.
12:46You know what you're doing like I do.
12:47Back, back and forth and forth.
12:50There we go.
12:51I'd have sat right back.
12:52I didn't know where to look.
12:54John's bid me 85, and I said, that's just not how.
12:56He's bid you 85.
12:57I ain't got 85 pounds.
13:00He's bid you 85, not me.
13:01I haven't got two bucks.
13:02Sorry, sorry.
13:03Give you 87 grand for that.
13:04We'll do a deal with you now.
13:05I might need one of these heartburn tablets.
13:07Heartburn tablets?
13:10Is it that stressful selling them a camper?
13:12I'd get another job.
13:13It's not worth dying over.
13:15I bought a pair of boots off one fella.
13:17I'll tell you what I'll do.
13:19I will give you 25 quid of my shoes for your shoes.
13:23Dumb.
13:2425 pounds swapped shoes over.
13:26I've got his boots, he's got my shoes.
13:28I've walked out and he broke my nose on a lamppost.
13:30I was admiring the boots looked up and crashed into a lamppost.
13:33It was going to be 96,949.
13:3790 dead.
13:39That was with everything.
13:41That there seems very fair to me.
13:42Yeah?
13:43It does.
13:44Giving you 6,949 off it.
13:46So near enough seven grand.
13:48I'll take it then.
13:49Shake the man's hand then.
13:51Done.
13:52All right.
13:53What you've just seen there is exactly the same in the boxing.
13:56Negotiations.
13:57Hey, you know why?
13:58I get the right fees.
14:00He can take his little daughter,
14:01his self,
14:02his missus
14:03and relax in that camper man.
14:05And enjoy it.
14:06Roll on summer.
14:07Quite literally.
14:16You should always make your bed, shouldn't you?
14:18Because it's just not nice to get into a...
14:20to a scruffy bed.
14:22I wanted to take my mum out somewhere nice.
14:24You know, she doesn't get out an awful lot.
14:25And I thought,
14:26if I'm taking her for lunch,
14:27I'm going to take her to the best place that I can find.
14:31There we go.
14:32It's nice, isn't it?
14:33It is.
14:34Very breezy.
14:35Do you know what?
14:36I really fancy that, Tom.
14:37What?
14:38The lobster linguine.
14:39You want any sushi?
14:40I like sushi, but I love lobster.
14:41Get that then.
14:42When I go to a restaurant,
14:43I just get that hungry.
14:44And the last thing that I want to do
14:45is I want to go into a place
14:46and pay for a meal
14:47and walk out starving still.
14:48Can I get a portion of the Wagyu short beef croquets?
14:49A chicken Caesar salad?
14:50British Wagyu flash steak as well.
14:51Can I get a peppercorn sauce with that?
14:52No.
14:53No.
14:54No.
14:55No.
14:56No.
14:57No.
14:58No.
14:59No.
15:00No.
15:01No.
15:02No.
15:03No.
15:04No.
15:05No.
15:06No.
15:07No.
15:08No.
15:09No.
15:10No.
15:11No.
15:12No.
15:13No.
15:15No.
15:16No.
15:17I need my own.
15:18Tommy, don't come on.
15:19You're going to mess your bowels up.
15:20My bowels are working perfectly.
15:22I know very well about that.
15:24Just whenever anything is ready,
15:25just bring it out.
15:26I'm absolutely ravenous.
15:28What do you not?
15:29Huxley piglets.
15:31Cheers, Mum.
15:32Cheers, babe.
15:33How's things going, me Molly?
15:37Good.
15:38Good.
15:39Everything's good.
15:41Good.
15:42What's my little girl doing?
15:46That's a good picture, that, isn't it?
15:48Oh, I'm going to frame that.
15:50My chin and my teeth used to do that, didn't they?
15:52Yes, and you used to do that with your eyes.
15:54Yeah.
15:55You're a good dad, Tommy.
15:56Oh.
15:57You're a very good dad.
15:58Right from the star.
16:00Hands on.
16:01And she adores you.
16:02It's a big thing to prove to your mother.
16:04Like, yeah, I'm a good father.
16:05Hearing it from my mother, it does make me feel really good.
16:07Excuse me, I've got your food for you.
16:09Thank you very much.
16:10Yeah, yeah, yeah.
16:11Oh!
16:12Wasp wants some.
16:15Oh, don't stink, mate.
16:18It's going to get me.
16:19To be quite honest with you, if I was a bee or a wasp,
16:22I'd try and get in the meal as well.
16:27I'm having a full-scale fight with a wasp.
16:30Has a wasp put me off your food?
16:32No.
16:33I thought no.
16:34Two o'clock in the morning, two nights ago, I'm in bed.
16:36Molly's at the side of me.
16:37And all of a sudden, I felt like crawling on my arm like a sensation.
16:41I've been frightened of spiders.
16:43And I've looked down at my hand and it's crawling up my arm.
16:46I'm like that.
16:47Did you scream?
16:48Oh, I screamed at two o'clock in the morning.
16:49She nearly had an heart attack.
16:50She fell out of bed.
16:51And I give it the roughest death possible.
16:53No!
16:54You can't kill spiders.
16:56Oh, I squashed it.
16:57And even when it was dead, I stamped all over it.
16:59You stamped on it?
17:00But I'm not a lover of spiders.
17:01Just stamped on it?
17:02To death.
17:03Yes.
17:04Don't talk to me.
17:06If I'm not lifting the entire gym later, there's a problem.
17:09You back in training now?
17:11I'm in training now.
17:12But...
17:13No, I mean, you've not got a boxing match.
17:15No, I ain't got a fight coming up.
17:16But I'm trying to get one before the end of the year, but...
17:18I've got to say, I'm not sad to it that you haven't got a fight.
17:23Because it's stressful.
17:25I don't even watch it on the TV.
17:28I never understood that until I had Bambi.
17:30It's not good, but...
17:31No.
17:32Pays the bills, doesn't it?
17:33All finished?
17:34Delicious, thank you.
17:35Fantastic.
17:36Well, thank you, mother, for an amazing lunch.
17:39Give me a kiss.
17:41Clean up.
17:43Thank you, mother.
17:46So, today is the big day.
17:59We're about to go and pick up my camper van.
18:01I can't wait to go with him.
18:04Just to check the response out.
18:06Because he's like a kid with a new toy.
18:11A lot of money for what they are, but listen...
18:13Can't buy memories, can you?
18:15Around the world, around the world...
18:20How's it going, buddy?
18:21Okay?
18:22Good to see you, mate.
18:23Hi.
18:24Very excited.
18:25Can't come quick enough, to be honest.
18:27Beautiful.
18:28Already come off the bowl, as they say.
18:30Molly, at first, wasn't really keen on the idea,
18:34but I showed her it and she pretty much fell in love with it.
18:37I know, literally, I'm in an animal.
18:40We've named it Princess Jasmine, from Aladdin.
18:43A princess that Bambi loves.
18:45All the cushions are laid out, everything like that.
18:47Oh, yeah.
18:48Very happy.
18:49I'm just learning how to use everything now.
18:51I'm now a motorhome owner.
18:53Well, now I'm... yeah.
18:54Officially.
18:56Thank you very much.
18:57And God bless.
18:58Good luck, Mark, and thanks for everything, pal.
18:59Thanks, John.
19:00Been a pleasure.
19:01I know you beat me up a bit, but I'm alright with it.
19:03Pleasure.
19:04Pleasure doing business with you.
19:05Oh!
19:07Thanks again, everybody.
19:10Dad, how's the switch on this?
19:12Right.
19:13Laters.
19:14You got that.
19:16In drive, away you go.
19:19You keep looking through your mirrors
19:20and you give yourself plenty of time.
19:22He's a very nervous passenger, my dad.
19:24When he's not driving the car, he's pretty shaky.
19:26Right, watch, watch, watch.
19:28You're very cold.
19:29You're panicky.
19:30Oh, listen.
19:31You need to relax.
19:34We got that power.
19:38It looks bigger when it's on the drive, don't it?
19:40When Bambi first saw the camper, she loved it.
19:42Are you excited?
19:43Yeah.
19:44She wanted to go in it straight away.
19:45Where are we going?
19:46Going to tumble tots.
19:48Tumble tots?
19:49Yeah.
19:50Okay, you take us to tumble tots.
19:52I think we was in there for the whole afternoon
19:55and most of the night.
19:57I'm sleeping here tonight.
19:59You want to sleep in here tonight?
20:01Yeah.
20:02She absolutely loves it.
20:03She calls it her camper.
20:04Yeah.
20:05Let me take a picture of you for mummy.
20:07And that's all I want.
20:09It's a big cheese.
20:10Big smile.
20:11Do you like it?
20:12Yeah.
20:13I've got to cut my dad some breakfast.
20:26Bananas, blueberries, honey, protein powder.
20:29I'm slapping a bit of dark chocolate in for his health issues.
20:32My dad recently went through a bit of a health scare.
20:35You know, his blood pressure was severely high.
20:37Stress is a massive killer.
20:39Death, with me, is a very, very unknown, frightening thing.
20:46And the older you get, all you seem to think about is dying.
20:49I'm 60-year-old.
20:50I'm on borrowed time.
20:51And, you know, us furies don't live long at all.
20:56All my brothers are dead.
20:5850, 53.
20:59My father was dead five years on from where I am now.
21:03Now, every time I shut my eyes, I'm thinking, you know what,
21:07it might be my last night, this.
21:09And I shouldn't be thinking like that, should I?
21:11I'm not done yet.
21:12And I say to God, give me a few more years.
21:15You know, he's tried to drop a bit of weight.
21:17He's tried to eat the right foods.
21:19I could have just given my dad a piece of toast this morning.
21:21There's your breakfast.
21:22But I went above and beyond because I just wanted to make sure
21:25that he felt looked after.
21:27How you doing, champ?
21:31What do you think about the stuff that's going on now, sir?
21:34Yes, the renovations are still going ahead.
21:36And, yes, the house is filled with builders,
21:38so we can't really have Molly and Bambi back yet.
21:41How long has been going on all this renovation now, though?
21:44Months, isn't it?
21:4625, 30 years off your life expectancy
21:49for the stress levels of all of this.
21:52Is it worth it?
21:54I've come to my age now
21:55and I've realised that I've worked too hard in my life.
21:58Probably.
21:59I couldn't deal with this because I'd crack up and burn it down.
22:02I'd throw a gamble of petrol in it.
22:04It's extravagance,
22:05and I don't do extravagance in any way, shape or form.
22:08It's a five-minute walk from there to the back door.
22:10Don't forget, it's not just going to be near, is it?
22:14Bambi's here.
22:15Have you seen the bedroom?
22:17There's the little baby laid in the bedroom.
22:19There's as big as that pot bottle in the little cot.
22:21My God.
22:22It's a wonder if she gets warm, innit?
22:24He's got a kitchen like the cockpit of a spaceship.
22:26I can't have a cup of coffee there because I can't work the top.
22:29You've got to hold it.
22:30You've got to twist it.
22:32Switch the frigging switch and let the kettle boil.
22:35I checked the rankings the other day on BoxRec.
22:37I'm number eight in the country.
22:39So what's the plan going forward then?
22:42There's rumours and chat of big contests, massive contests.
22:48But the thing is, it will just take our time still.
22:51Do the job properly.
22:53Not be in a rush.
22:55It's quite easy to lose your concentration
22:58and, you know, lose all your focus when you've not got a date
23:01because it's just tough.
23:03You know, you're working towards nothing.
23:06But I've got to keep myself fit
23:07and I've got to keep myself in that mind frame of keeping in shape.
23:11I'm thinking about doing this thing at the end of the month.
23:14What thing?
23:15It's like a triathlon.
23:16A 2K swim, 80 kilometres on a bike, which is 50 miles, not too bad.
23:21And then an 18K run, which is a 10-mile run.
23:24It's a lot, that.
23:26Why would you want to put your body through that kind of stress?
23:30To get a medal around your neck was probably worth 50p
23:33and you nearly killed yourself to do it.
23:36I train all the time like a lunatic,
23:38so I might as well, you know, do some competitions.
23:41It's good to say you've done it, isn't it?
23:43You come off that bike, you're finished.
23:45The last time I seen him on a bicycle was about 16.
23:48So what are you doing this weekend?
23:50I'm on an old steam rally out here, aren't I, at Shelford?
23:53I'll come tomorrow night, I'll get my training during the day
23:55and then about 4 o'clock I'll come on.
23:57Yeah.
23:58And then I'll be there that night
24:00and then Saturday morning we can have a look round everything, can't we?
24:04HOBS are off.
24:09Don't want any explosions.
24:12Take a jacket.
24:15Just in case it gets a little bit chilly.
24:18Right, let's roll.
24:20Next stop, Assal Park.
24:26The steam rally is in a massive field and everyone pulls on there
24:30with their classic antique car or caravan, trailer, wagon.
24:34I've been going to the steam rally now, Assal Park, for at least 20 to 25 years.
24:40At my age now, there's no better living for me than this.
24:45I don't want to go abroad, I don't want the French Riviera, I don't want Spain.
24:49There's my dad's car there.
24:52He rocks up in a brand new thing.
24:54Whoa, that'll do you there?
24:55He's stuck out like a sore thumb, but he just come to enjoy the weekend with me,
25:00which is quite good of him.
25:02My camper van and my dad's wagons are two worlds apart.
25:05I've kind of gone down the more luxury route, but to be honest,
25:08I've only done that so I can get Molly in there.
25:11Even the chairs are brand new.
25:14But yeah, my dad's a bit more rough and ready,
25:17and he likes the old vintage stuff, which I completely get.
25:20My mother was born in a wagon.
25:22My father was.
25:23My mother travelled up and down all her life.
25:25I just want to feel free for what remainder I've got left on Earth
25:28when it soon passes.
25:30I don't want all these wagons, I don't need them.
25:32This makes me happy.
25:34Filling that coal fire there, look.
25:36Cooking a pot on there.
25:38Tradition beats it all, doesn't it?
25:42It means an awful lot to me to be by my dad's side during these things,
25:46because sometimes it just goes alone.
25:48And at the end of the day, I'm just thankful that I've got time on my hands,
25:51that I can go and I can be with him for a weekend,
25:53and have a bit of a laugh and we can forget about the world for a day or two.
25:56My favourite thing about that weekend was probably the ride, to be honest.
26:02I am not going on that ever.
26:04Come on.
26:05You don't risk your life for nothing.
26:07Yeah, but look there, you're getting off, fine.
26:08Yeah, but look at it.
26:09Look at it.
26:10That machine, anything happens to that, you're gone, aren't you?
26:13You're out.
26:14One time.
26:15Come on.
26:16You want to load it?
26:17Go on then.
26:18It's called coercion, isn't it?
26:20I got talked into it.
26:24My dad won't die with you at 60, so he won't die.
26:27Next thing, I'm in there bolted in, aren't I?
26:30Dad, this is a bad ride, you know.
26:31It is it, fuck.
26:33I've not been on a ride with my dad since probably about eight years old.
26:37Extra fast!
26:38Woo!
26:41To go on a ride again, it makes you feel like you're a bit of a kid again,
26:44and I'm hoping my dad had that feeling because it'd be a nice one.
26:50Okay, now, look here.
26:53It knocked me sick, and every time it went thrown us to the left,
26:56I thrown us to the right.
26:58It was like my whole stomach was coming up in my mouth.
27:02Slow down!
27:05I'd just stepped before that as well.
27:07I thought I was going to throw up all over everybody, to be honest with you.
27:09Slow down!
27:10Slow down!
27:12Oh, well, I looked down, I thought I've not got any brown trousers on,
27:14which is the same case.
27:16Slow down!
27:21My God, man.
27:31Today's been absolutely amazing, but I just want the sunlight to die down
27:35so I can dive in the camper and get some sleep.
27:37We've had a great night.
27:39Had some food.
27:41Now I'm ready to hit the hay.
27:43Take it easy and God bless.
27:48Fun's over, but now we're concentrating on one thing,
27:51and that's his 100km triathlon.
27:53This will be, to date, the biggest challenge that he's done outside of boxing.
27:57I'm going to be swimming right in the middle of the ocean,
27:59and I'm not a very strong swimmer.
28:00I'm going to be getting on the bike.
28:02I'm not a very strong biker.
28:04Have a good look to him.
28:06All you can do, keep your fingers crossed and hope everything goes well.
28:10Don't get showing off.
28:12I'm in my car, I'm fucked!
28:13I am going to die in this sea.
28:15I don't feel my legs.
28:16I thought I was going to pass out.
28:18I'm mentally drained as much as I am physically.
28:21So, it's definitely been a tough month.
28:24Yeah, it's just bullshit.
28:50It's so bloody that close as that goes on.
28:52Well, I've
