00:00It wasn't exactly Christmas weather, but it was wonderful.
00:04I just love doing these ensemble movies and, you know, working with ensemble cast.
00:10It's so much more fun.
00:13And such, not only are they all so smart and hilarious, but great humans.
00:20It's wacky and sentimental and entertaining.
00:33I have a lot of Claire in me.
00:37I overdo every holiday, try a little too hard, and then, you know, complain about why I'm so exhausted.
00:45You know, complain that you're not getting the help, but then if anybody offers, you're like, no, no, I'm fine, I got it.
00:53So I'm a lot like Claire.
00:56This is a film about, you know, the unsung heroes, and that is moms, and particularly around the holiday.
01:07But it's really all year round.
01:09They really are the glue in every family.
01:12It's not that, you know, other people don't do anything.
01:15But speaking generally, moms are, and so it's really a love letter to them.
01:24And maybe open the eyes of some family members and maybe look at your mom in a different way.
01:35You know, just hold each other close, and it's really, and I think, honestly, that is the most important thing in life, is family and the people in your life.
01:50And it's amazing.
01:51Amazing.
01:52He's, um, he's so talented and so funny himself.
01:59So collaborative.
02:00I think he's the most collaborative director that I've ever worked with.
02:07And, you know, he's, he's so gifted at doing so many different kinds of genres, you know.
02:13And I read this, and I thought, ooh, this in the wrong hands could, could go, like, south.
02:20But I knew that it was in the right hands with him.
02:23And that gave me the freedom to just kind of take all sorts of chances that I wouldn't have otherwise taken.
02:32We always open, um, a present on, um, Christmas Eve.
02:39And, um, uh, I think that's probably the thing that we do every year that everybody gets excited about.
02:48And, you know, we get together with family, and usually we spend Christmas Day at my sister's house.
02:54We spend Thanksgiving at my house.
02:56Sometimes we, uh, shake it up a little bit.
