00:00Hey, it's People in 10. It's been a big week for music lovers everywhere. While Miley was getting
00:09engaged, and Sabrina was clapping back, and Tay was apparently not getting into any arguments,
00:15Spotify was wrapping up the year for fans around the world. Super Bowl 60 halftime show headliner
00:20Bad Bunny is 2025's top global artist with 19.8 billion streams. And while Taylor came in a close
00:33second globally, she topped the list for US listeners. I'm so grateful for you. Thank you for
00:39everything. You all just love this show, girl. Meanwhile, Lady Gaga, Bruno Mars, Kendrick Lamar,
00:45and SZA landed top songs. And as some of you easily predicted your rap list, others got some
00:50surprises. Like me, apparently my listening age is 72. Tis the season for listening.
00:59Jada Pinkett Smith is facing a massive lawsuit, and the claims are explosive. Bilal Salaam,
01:06also known as Brother Bilal, describes himself as Will Smith's best friend for nearly 40 years.
01:12Well, now that best friend is suing Will's wife for $3 million. He alleges that Jada,
01:18along with seven members of her entourage, confronted him in a hotel lobby during Will's
01:23birthday party in September of 2021. The complaint claims Jada threatened Bilal,
01:28saying he would end up missing or even catch a bullet if he kept, quote,
01:32telling her personal business. Now that's intense. Bilal also claims that after he refused to help with
01:38crisis management following the infamous Oscar slap, he became the target of a retaliatory campaign.
01:44This drama seems like it's far from over, so stay tuned.
01:48What's in a name? Well, for Millie Bobby Brown, it's a whole new start. So the 21-year-old married
01:53Jake Bon Jovi, son of John, in May of 2024, and now the bride is officially changing her name.
02:00So what is it? Well, that's what her Stranger Things co-star Noah Schnapp wanted to know too.
02:05He tried to guess, but it didn't go well.
02:08Millie, Bonnie, Brown.
02:10No, drop the Brown.
02:11Millie, Bonnie, Bon Jovi, Brown.
02:12No, but Brown.
02:14Just drop the Brown. Bobby, drop the Brown. It's just Millie, Bonnie, Bon Jovi.
02:19Oh.
02:20Cute. Bobby was just a stage name anyway, so she's going back to her roots and her legal middle name.
02:26She even has a new nickname ready to go. Millie, Bon Bon.
02:29Vanessa Hudgens is officially a mom times two. She and her hubby Cole Tucker welcomed another baby.
02:37So yeah, enjoy that PJ time. Giving birth ain't easy.
02:41And boy, does Vanessa know it.
02:42She acknowledged the wild ride of labor and gave a big shout out to her fellow mamas.
02:47Like these two, who looked beyond cool announcing their pregnancies at the 2025 Fashion Awards.
02:53And Rihanna is reflecting on mom memories in celebration of Barbados Independence Day.
02:58Throwing it back to when she was pregnant with daughter Rocky.
03:01Motherhood looks good on you, girl.
03:04Full House star Dave Coulier revealed a shocking health update this week.
03:08It's been a roller coaster.
03:10Let's find out what's going on.
03:14Hey, Darren. How's it going?
03:15Hey, Jillian. I heard Dave got some heartbreaking news.
03:19What's going on here? What can you tell us?
03:21Yeah, he went on the Today Show and he revealed that he actually has cancer again.
03:24If you remember, he had non-Hodgkin lymphoma last year and he beat that.
03:28Went through chemo. Everything was fine.
03:29Then he goes for a six month scan and the doctors see something sort of in this area.
03:34They come back with the bad news that he's got a head and neck cancer.
03:37So now he's going to be facing that.
03:39But what's really weird, it's like it's not related to the other cancers.
03:42The doctors were like, if you hadn't come in for your six month scan from the lymphoma,
03:48we would not have caught this probably until it was sort of too late.
03:51And you would be like in a serious world of heart right now.
03:53I mean, that's just wild.
03:54What are the chances, right?
03:55What's the prognosis here?
03:57Prognosis is actually really good.
03:59He feels pretty positive about it.
04:00He had 35 rounds of targeted radiation.
04:03Says he's going to be fine.
04:04Says it's actually like a good cancer if there's such a thing because, you know,
04:08he's going to get back to health and be able to spread the word to everybody.
04:12Go get those checkups.
04:13Early detection saved my life, not just the first time, but the second time as well.
04:18So I hope you're getting your checkups.
04:20I am.
04:20I am brother.
04:22Colonoscopies and breast exams and prostate exams, they will save your life.
04:27It's so important.
04:28People get your annual checkups.
04:30I'm really happy that Dave is shining a light on this.
04:32And of course we wish him well.
04:35Thank you so much for the update and the insight, Jillian.
04:37I really appreciate it.
04:38Of course.
04:38See you later.
04:40Winnie Harlow hasn't ever let her vitiligo get in her way.
04:43Despite the skin condition, she forged a mega successful modeling career,
04:47which she says took a village.
04:49I attribute a lot of my confidence to my mother, my grandmother, my upbringing,
04:58my heritage, being a Jamaican woman.
05:00I feel very blessed to have been instilled confidence into.
05:06I really love that through my career, I've been able to just be myself.
05:13And through being myself, it allows other people to feel comfortable being themselves.
05:19Now she's partnering with Insight to pass on the information she's learned about vitiligo to others.
05:23It's an autoimmune disorder.
05:25And, you know, it's something that you should be checking in with your dermatologist about.
05:30And if you have an autoimmune disorder, you're more susceptible to getting other
05:35autoimmune disorders and making sure that you're, you know, aware of those things.
05:39You can get vitiligo at any age or, you know, it can affect any person of any race, lighter skin, darker skin.
05:48But it goes beyond just awareness.
05:51It also creates this sense of community.
05:53Whereas when I was a kid, I felt like I was the only person in the world with vitiligo.
05:59The Jonas Brothers have had an incredible year.
06:02Now they're reflecting on two decades of fame, including music collabs, personal milestones,
06:07and yes, even Kevin's iconic hair moments.
06:10Munchups were my favorite.
06:11Really, really pushed the boundaries on what was socially acceptable with my hair.
06:14I don't know why I decided to do that.
06:15Do you know exactly why it was awesome?
06:17No, thank you.
06:18Thanks, Jonas.
06:19Love to see that brotherly love.
06:20That's what a lifetime of friendship will do for you.
06:23These days, the trio of girl dads are immersed in princesses and stumped by their princesses' homework.
06:28New math is not for the weak of art.
06:31When you're 18, you think you know everything.
06:33And then you're 36, and you still don't know everything.
06:36You're still growing as a person, and that's what it's about.
06:40Reba McIntyre had to pump the brakes on live TV
06:44when she swung by the Today Show to talk about her show, Happy's Place.
06:47During the convo, Savannah Guthrie referred to her co-star and real-life fiancé, Rex Lynn, as her husband.
06:55Whoops.
06:56Reba jumped right in to correct her.
06:58Before everybody has a conniption fit at home,
07:01we're just engaged.
07:02You're engaged.
07:02I'm sorry.
07:03You're soon to be.
07:04My family go, wait, you didn't tell us?
07:06You could see Rex in the studio there.
07:08He looked a little confused at first, but took the mistake in stride in the end.
07:14The stars of Hot Frosty are bringing the heat once again.
07:17But this time, Lacey Chabert and Dustin Milligan are telling a different holiday story.
07:22Maybe this Christmas will be different.
07:24Whoa!
07:24Maybe, just maybe, I can conceal who I really am.
07:28The duo is reuniting for Maybe This Christmas, a five-episode micro drama for Maybelline New York.
07:35Everyone knows I love telling holiday stories, and I think this is a fun little wink to the genre.
07:40She's concealing something, and he really loves hot cocoa.
07:45It really leans into what a cozy, bundled-up Christmas romance will sort of develop into,
07:52and getting to wear clothes and a scarf was my pleasure.
07:56Ours, too.
07:57Okay, take it away, Mako.
07:58Now it's to sit down with Lucy Liu.
08:01Hi, Lucy!
08:02Your new movie, Rosemead, has everyone buzzing, and rightfully so.
08:06It gives so much with this depiction of mental illness, family bonds, the Chinese-American community,
08:11and friendship.
08:12What does playing this character and the story mean to you?
08:15The story is important because it is something that happened, and it happened 10 years ago,
08:24which is not that long ago, and it should not have happened.
08:29And I think that there's so many stories that we have that have not been told.
08:35There's no movie or television series that talks about the love of the mother and son
08:43and mental health and all the things that go along with it in our entire lexicon.
08:49There's no filmography that has this and lists it, and I think that's terrible and also terrifying.
08:56How does this movie reflect your growth as an actor?
08:59I don't know if it's growth as much as the, you know, the variety or the possibilities.
09:07And that's exciting to me because it's something that I've always had,
09:10and I just have not had the opportunity to lead a movie, you know, in the 30-plus career that I've had.
09:18My heart is bursting with gratitude to be able to tell this story and to be able to bring this,
09:25I guess, to my community, and to also understand that it's a universal message,
09:29and that people connect to it, and they feel the movie.
09:33In addition to a very successful career in entertainment, you also went to the White House
09:38last year to celebrate Asian American representation, and now you're receiving a CCA AAPI Trailblazer Award.
09:45Does your son Rockwell know how cool his mom is, and what is something you hope your work
09:50inspires or instills in him?
09:52He does not know how cool I am. He knows that I can make a killer piece of chicken,
09:58and I can heat up a nice lasagna, you know, like basic mom stuff.
10:04I think the first thing he's ever seen, and probably the only thing he's ever seen
10:08live-action-wise is Red One. He was nine, and he was probably just a little bit under the gun to
10:14watch that, but now after he's gotten over kind of some of the scary creatures, he really loves it.
10:19I hope that he is proud of me. I love him dearly. He is my greatest teacher.
10:25I say that all the time because I've never learned so much in such a short period of time,
10:31and I thought I knew it all when I was 16, so wow, what's happening?
10:37What was the biggest honor, Lucy? Being asked to represent at the White House,
10:41or being name-checked in a Destiny's Child song?
10:44I feel like Destiny's Child got paid, so I can't give them credit,
10:48even though they're incredible, but I think going to the White House and going through security like 17
10:54times just to get through the door was kind of a big deal, so I'm going to go with the White House.
11:01Okay, we're going to put 10 seconds on the clock. Tell everyone why Rosemead is a must-see. Ready? Go.
11:07Rosemead is a personal journey for all of us. When people are thinking about their lives, they think
11:14about should I have made more money? Should I have had a bigger house? No. They think about what was my
11:19impact? What did I leave behind? And this movie is something that I am really proud to leave behind.
