00:24The Democratic Socialist, set to become New York's first Muslim and first South Asian mayor,
00:32has vowed to direct the NYPD to enforce ICC warrants, including those for Netanyahu and Russian President Vladimir Putin.
00:40The ICC said it has reasonable grounds to believe Netanyahu is responsible for alleged war crimes in the Gaza offensive.
00:47But legal experts say any arrest is highly unlikely, and note that such authority rests with the federal government.
00:54Washington, under President Donald Trump, has been a firm defender of Israel and has even sanctioned ICC officials.
