IndiGo is facing a severe crew shortage for the third straight day, with over 250 flights cancelled across Mumbai, Delhi and Bengaluru. The disruption comes after DGCA’s new duty-rest rules mandating longer breaks for crew — including 48 hours rest after 7 days of work, limited night-shift landings, and 24 hours rest after long flights. Airlines may now need to hire more staff to comply with the regulations.
