00:00They went to Hugo, and he did change the game defensively on Towns,
00:04who was just feasting on Keita and Jalen Brown.
00:08So I think last night was a good look,
00:11and I think the last couple of weeks reflect well on Missoula as well.
00:15I think that is coaching.
00:17That's not paint-by-numbers, huck-up threes.
00:19He went through a few different things last night,
00:21and ultimately he found something by going to Gonzalez.
00:24That's good coaching.
00:24Even go back to Xavier Tillman against the Cavs.
00:27He was out of the rotation, wasn't playing at all.
00:29Well, that night, who was hurt for that game?
00:30Keita and White.
00:31They went in and started Tillman, and no one expected that, right?
00:36People thought maybe they'd go with the small ball,
00:38start Josh Minot in there with Jordan Walsh,
00:40maybe start Garza, which we've seen them do,
00:43and they went with Xavier Tillman, and it worked.
00:45So I give Joe Mazula a lot of credit because this team, like I said earlier,
00:48is really living up to the standard that he holds them to,
00:52and then he's clicking all the right buttons for this team.
00:54I know they're 12-9, and it's like you're not going to throw a parade over a team
00:58that's three games over 500, 21 games into the season,
01:01or 22 games into the season, rather.
01:03But this is a lot better than a lot of people would have expected,
01:06especially given the schedule at the beginning of the year.
01:08I mean, and they're beating quality teams.
01:11They have seven wins against teams 500 or better.
01:13That's the second most in the NBA behind the Detroit Pistons, who have eight.
01:16They're tied with the Magic, the reigning champion,
01:18Oklahoma City Thunder, and the Denver Nuggets.
01:20That's a good ball club, and they have been better than people expected,
01:24and they deserve a lot of credit for that, and Joe's at the top of that.
01:26Well, I hate to do it, but you also deserve some credit.
01:29Because two weeks ago, talking about Jalen Brown playing like an All-NBA player,
01:32and I was like, I don't know, because you kind of need the wins to sort of –
01:36and he was scoring points, but they were losing,
01:38and they were losing to some bad teams.
01:40I mean, this stretch that he's on now is as good as we've ever seen, right,
01:44from Jalen Brown.
01:45Now, I know it's very different.
01:46He's played almost his entire career with Tatum or even other guys that can score.
01:51You look out there now, like, yeah, he's going to need to score 30 or 40
01:54on certain nights, but he has.
01:55He's been pretty consistent, and he's a guy that's not afraid to go to the basket.
01:59He's a guy that's not afraid to shoot twos, right?
02:01He's not afraid to do that, but he's been great over the last couple of weeks.
02:05Just night in and night out, he's given them a chance to win.
02:07He's averaging 29, 6, and 4.
02:09The only other players averaging that stat line are Giannis, Luka Doncic,
02:12and Nikola Jokic.
02:13Sounds like an All-NBA player to me.
02:14Yeah, I was going to say, that's pretty solid.
02:16That's pretty good.
02:16Two MVP, three MVP candidates.
