00:00The Philippine Coast Guard flew a Zesna caravan over Scarborough Shoal, keeping a close eye on Chinese vessels.

00:07Observers also noted the presence of Chinese maritime militia, PLA Navy support ships, and a U.S. Navy destroyer,

00:15highlighting ongoing patrols to safeguard the West Philippine Sea.

00:30The Body Time Domain Awareness or MDA flight of the Philippine Coast Guards says the caravan early Wednesday morning

00:41was immediately met with radio challenges from a PLA Navy warship with bow number 553,

00:49just 50 nautical miles from Sambanes toward Bajo de Masindoc, another PLA Navy warship with bow number 162 was spotted.

00:58The radio challenges continued repeatedly, with PCG pilots responding every time.

01:23Despite continuous radio challenges from China,

01:27the Zesna caravan of the Philippine Coast Guard was still able to get close to Scarborough Shoal.

01:33This is to assert the rights and sovereignty of the Philippines in the West Philippine Sea.

01:38Three China Coast Guard vessels were spotted around Scarborough Shoal, with one position near the entrance.

01:45A replenishment ship of the Chinese Navy was also present.

01:48It is worth noting that the PLA Navy 885, which is a replenishment or logistic support vessel,

01:59has been there based on our observation for almost two months already.

02:03At ito rin yung PLA Navy na nakita nyo na pinakamalapit sa loob ng shoal,

02:09only at a distance of 2.2 nautical miles south of Bajo de Masindoc.

02:14The presence of the Chinese Maritime Militia has returned with two vessels monitored.

02:20For so many months, simula nung pumangit ng panahon dito sa Pilipinas,

02:25this is only the first time that we have monitored the Chinese Maritime Militia.

02:29Alam naman natin how the Chinese government are making use of the Chinese Maritime Militia vessels,

02:35not just in BDM but even in Pag-ASA case and different parts of the Kalayaan Island.

02:40A Chinese naval helicopter also appeared but did not approach the PCG aircraft.

02:46Two buoys remained positioned inside and outside the lagoon, first observed in October.

02:52According to the PCG, regular patrols continue in all parts of the West Philippine Sea.

02:59We need to continuously monitor the illegal activities of the People's Republic of China.

03:05With or without the significant changes ng behavior ng China,

03:09mahalagang gawin natin ito dahil obligasyon natin ito para sa mga Pilipino.

03:14Meanwhile, the MDA flight also spotted the passage of an early bird-class destroyer of the Allied U.S. Navy

03:22from the West Philippine Sea, Patrick De Jesus,

03:26from the National TV Network for a New and Better Philippines.
