00:00Tuo padre
00:03Hi, I'm Elisa Giudici from Italian Magazine Game Surf
00:13and my first question is about the community of Five Nights at Freddy's
00:20because you talk a lot with them, hearing their feedback
00:23so I'd like to ask you how exactly their reaction to the first movie shaped this one
00:29and in which direction pushed the plot of this sequel
00:33Yeah, you know, I think the reaction was largely positive, of course
00:39which is why we're here today and we're so appreciative and excited about that
00:43I think, you know, one of the things for the diehard, especially the diehard horror fans
00:50was that they wanted it to be a little scarier
00:53We've definitely done that
00:55I kind of think this one actually would have organically tipped into a darker space
01:00as we keep growing with the franchise
01:05But that also felt like a priority, knowing that a lot of people were really wanting that
01:12In addition, we really made a concerted effort on this one to pull elements in
01:19that were exactly corresponding with the gameplay
01:24from the second game for the sequel film
01:27So I think it'll be really satisfying for the fans that felt like they wanted a little bit more of that in the first one
01:33I wanted to ask you about the writing process of this second movie
01:37because I've read that it was way shorter than the first one
01:40and I was curious also why choosing the second video game for the second movie following the video game franchise
01:47The first movie took about 10 years to get off the ground
01:50So that was a really long development period
01:53And it was great that we were able to, you know, turn around and do the sequel a lot quicker than that
01:58We had the momentum of the first one and, you know, the cast that we really wanted to retain in our sequel movie
02:05But in terms of the game corresponding with the second game
02:11That was really always Scott's vision that the first one would link to the first game
02:15The second one would link to the second game
02:17So we knew there were a bunch of new animatronics to bring into the mix based on that
02:24And Jim Henson's Creature Shop started designing those even before the script was done
02:32And it was an incredible expansion of the world to dive into with this sequel
02:38In your first question you quoted the die-hard horror of fans
02:43And I think they are waiting for another horror reunion
02:47It's a sort of external easter egg
02:49The one between Lillard and Ulrich from the first Scream movie
02:53I wanted to ask you if you tried to make it happen
02:57Or it was just serendipity
02:59And how it was the reunion on set for another horror movie
03:03It was both intentional and serendipity, I would say
03:09Scott was the first one who brought up Skeet's name
03:12And we were actually thinking about him
03:14Potentially for a different character
03:16And then this clicked once we figured out what would be the right role for him
03:24In such a big way
03:26And of course we asked Matt Lillard right away what he thought of the idea
03:32He's such a big part of the franchise
03:34And we wanted to make sure he was on board
03:36And of course he thought it was such a great idea
03:38And you can just feel when the rest of the cast and crew is getting very excited
03:44About a casting decision
03:46And this felt like an epic reunion of sorts
03:49And just such an honor to have Skeet join the fold
03:53Yeah
03:54Yeah
03:55Yeah
03:56Yeah
03:57Yeah
03:59Yeah
04:00Yeah
04:01Yeah
04:02So
04:03You
