00:00uh let's talk about a player that jack has seen a lot home and away that is kyle schwarber
00:04now uh could we say formally the philadelphia phillies i'm not sure schwarber 56 home runs
00:11132 runs driven in last year and is a fairly coveted free agent i would guess on a two or
00:17i mean hey devin williams got three kyle schwarber's getting three right four-year deal who
00:21knows at this point the thing for me with him is any rumor that i see jack of him associated with
00:29a team that isn't good i'm dismissing it i will be shocked if kyle schwarber goes from philadelphia
00:36no disrespect to pittsburgh or anywhere else this guy has won in his entire career and you're
00:42telling me he's gonna chase down a four-year 100 something to go to a team that's gonna lose the
00:48next three out of four years i'm not buying it i think he either goes back to philadelphia or a team
00:52that's at least competitive i've just i i can't even imagine him in a uniform of a team that's
00:58gonna lose 90 100 games next year i don't see it you're clearly misremembering the three months
01:04that he spent in a washington nationals uniform i call that the nationals era for kyle schwarber but
01:09uh no this guy has been a winner at pretty much every stop i mean i think about you know him taking
01:14indiana university to the ncaa tournament and knocking on the door of the college world series
01:19before he went top five overall to the cubs but you remember like your first big league memory of kyle
01:24schwarber is him playing pretty much on a torn acl in the world series in 2016 with chicago this guy's
01:30a winner every team he's on impacts or he impacts winning in such a positive way so i'm with you i saw
01:37the pirate thing and i was like okay number one would it be really fun to watch him just blister
01:42baseballs into the allegheny river of course no doubt about it but does it make any sense for him at
01:48this point in his career probably not the team that made me raise my eyebrows just a little bit
01:53is san francisco and san francisco is not a place that left-handed hitters want to go to
01:59the last left-handed hitter and before willie adamas this year the last guy to hit 30 homers as a san
02:05francisco giant in a season was barry bonds in 2004 it took 21 years for another guy to hit 30 homers
02:14in san francisco it's a high standard but it's a standard that kyle schwarber can meet in terms of
02:22being maybe the best raw power bat in major league baseball i can see him wanting that challenge and
02:28also joining that fun team in san francisco but for me at least this feels pretty close to restricted
02:35free agency where philly is going to have the opportunity to match whatever deal this guy may
02:40get if it's three years for a hundred million dollars and it's you know 33 million dollars a
02:44year you know the first call is going to be going dave dombrowski's way and he has the opportunity to
02:49match that
