00:30Preferably lightning.
00:33The headband is important for form and function.
00:37It differentiates between good Ken and bad Ken.
00:39When you put it on, it sends a clear signal that it's go time.
00:42But it's essential that someone see you put it on.
00:45Preferably, they see you put it on from behind, too.
00:47This motion is important.
00:49You can also achieve this with a ball cap.
00:51You sort of start rim first, eyes cast in shadow, mysterious.
00:55And then you pick the moment.
00:56And when it is go time,
00:58you reverse it.
01:00Now you're a loose Ken and ready to fire.
01:02Sun glasses.
01:06Ken's got to have at least two pairs at all times.
01:09You want the first pair to be something that Barbie would also wear.
01:11She needs them for whatever reason.
01:13You have them at the ready.
01:14Dark ones are great because they can hide your sadness.
01:17You never want to risk bumming Barbie out.
01:21That's also why you have a second pair that are mirrored so you can reflect Barbie's greatness.

01:40Ken in a box.
01:41This is to remind you of the box that you came in and the box that the world will happily put you back in if you don't Ken as hard as you can every day.

03:17And let me just start this off by saying my Ken's job is beach.
03:21I'm not surf Ken, I'm beach Ken, and I'm not claiming to be a surf Ken, so I don't want any surf Ken's kind of trolling me in the comments section.
03:30I'm not claiming to have any of this sort of spirituality that comes with surfing, any of that insight.
03:37I'm just using it for scale.
03:39Because when you're a human-sized Ken, that's very important.
03:42And so you need a human-sized surfboard to communicate that scale.
03:46And you can hold it, and I've also found that you can also lean.
03:55Rollerblades.
03:56This is pretty self-explanatory.
03:57My Ken Barbie likes to rollerblade, so he literally goes nowhere without them.
04:02Did you bring your rollerblades?
04:04I literally go nowhere without them.
04:10Ken underwear.
04:12Look, it's just important to have your name written on your underwear for lots of reasons.
04:16I'm sure your mother's told you that.
04:17But most importantly, it keeps your name in the mix.
04:20If you wear them high, it just keeps your name out there.
04:22It's easy to get lost in the shuffle.
04:23And it's also good because then, if Barbie ever says,
04:26Hey, is that Ken written on your underwear?
04:28You can say,
04:30Underwear.
04:31And that's all you want.
04:32You just want to share a moment with Barbie.
04:35A faux mink.
04:37If you can't define yourself by your thoughts or experiences or accomplishments,
04:44a faux mink can do a lot of the heavy lifting for you.
04:46You don't need any of that because you're the Ken in the faux mink.

05:00Cool thing about this is that you can have your name written on it in Metallica font.
05:05What's even cooler about this is that you can have Barbie's essentials inside of one of your essentials.

05:14You want to toast Barbie's accomplishments of which there are many all the time.
05:18Every good Barbie hype man has a pink mic.
05:20You know, a hanky, just in case she breaks a sweat.
05:24I've never seen that happen.
05:25You prepare for the worst and you hope for the best.
05:28And then, you know, you kind of have like a statement necklace.
05:32You know, who knows?
05:34Maybe one day you'll get the baddest Barbie in the game to wear your chain.
05:37So that's my top 10 Ken essentials.
05:42Just remember that behind every great Barbie there's a Ken who's totally fine with that.
